I miss him so beautiful so amazing he fit the bill for every roll he did. 47 is too soon his voice was like an angle from heaven and he was an amazing person why did I have to be Born in 1992 why could I not be born a little early so I could have seen him perfom this one last time thank you for puting this up hear it makes me happy to see him live on!

Isn't Barton an American? I wonder how he learned German so well but like opera singers they can sing librettos but otherwise don't speak the language. @ the German speakers out there, how does he do in your language?

@audiesgirl You hardly notice that he's not German at all. He's one of the best not-native German speakers I know. My aunt IS German and moved to America and even her German is worse by now because it has an accent. He has almost none .. if even at all.

@WieFunktioniertMathe Barton's bio says he lived and raised a family in Germany for a long time which is the best way to learn any language. Still, he is truly gifted in this role. What a shame he died so young but considering what they did to the show on Broadway, it would have killed him to see it. I hope to see the German version sung in English some day.

@audiesgirl Yes, you're absolutely right. There are some of the songs sung by Barton in English, too. He sang them amazing, too. The Broadway version was ... oh I don't even wanna talk about it. It was embarrassing. The musical actually plays in the town I live in in Germany at the moment and I am so going to go there (again). A few years back I travelled through all of Germany just to see it (not sung by Barton, though - obviously). He was a great singer and actor.

Ich habe das Musical nie gesehen, sondern nur dieses eine Lied mit den verschiedenen Darstellern angeschaut; sie sind alle wunderbar, aber diese beiden sind echt der Hammer. Überhaupt Steve Barton - so stelle ich mir einen richtigen Vampir vor. Da kann Robert Pattinson aber einpacken!

I like the slower tempo they chose for this. This feels more like a love song than a show stopper and although both styles for this song work, I like the gentler feel to this style. :)
