  • Do you guys escape from Council Tax?

  • they are homeless or students with no money... :)

  • @landertotxo With all lands in England belongs to the the Crown a.k.a. the City of London, they are feudal lands which unfortunately are subjected to Council Tax- regardless of who's inside.

Check out videos from theAntiTerrorist's channel. He's got some good info about things.

  • @essy111 Search engine paths (such as Google) "Urban 75 Squat" and "Advisory Service for Squatters".

    Hope this helps.

  • FUCK THE LAW SQUAT THE WORLD!!!!

  • ehhh jurgi...un abrazo, ernesto

  • From Dog Handler FUCK the SQ

  • What has this got to do with squatting?

  • I agree everyone has a right to have a place....

So fuck off back home freeloaders

  • I live in South-East England, down here if any squatters set foot in my house authorised I would break down my door knock them out and dump them in the middle of the fen before they could call the police, much cheaper replacing the door than getting a court order

  • You ignorant idiot! Squatters only squat abandoned buildings, you slow imbecile.

  • Your pretty slow mate, I posted that in Late November

  • You're pretty slow mate, I only saw this vid a week or so ago. Just because you posted this a long time ago doesn't mean I knew about it. Stupid point to be arguing about anyway.

  • Well stop insulting me and lets forget about it

  • .....and onto the streets they go and then you ll be going, god, so many people sleeping on the street... cant they get some dirty old abandoned house and out of my way!....lucky, somebody already thought of that

  • Why dont they just buy or rent in the north or in a diffrent country? They are so much cheaper than london so there are no excuses.

    Tell me people.

  • different country?...hehe you is funny...pack my bags, kiss goodbye to my friends, my job, my uni degree whatever, i am going to bulgaria where i dont speak the language, have no friends, have very little money, but by god the rent sure is cheap!!!.... genius!!!

  • yep :) well u can all move then cnt u and make nu frends we all have to pay for evryfink so erm shuptup.

  • semi true :) we all dont have to pay for everything, we are forced to, coerced.... and if someone finds a way out, no need to be pissy....get in on the deal :)

  • I've squatted in London for more than 1 year and it was a fantastic experience.

    Bradley House: miss you! :(

  • a lot of squatters are from poland...they haven`t got a house in poland but they got a house in london jajaja that`s cool, isn`t it

  • More than squatting itself it's the attitude of most squatters that annoys me. They act like they have some God-given right to march into people's property (however disused) and take occupation of it.

Why should they be different? Everyone else has to pay rent or a mortgage.

  • I think squatting is a choice, it is a right to have a house and there are different ways to get it, and squatting is only a way, I don't think the prizes if the houses are fair, also renting is something not everyone can pay, as I said, I am studying full time, and squatting for me is the only way.

  • Maybe it is a choice and, at the moment you are protected by the law. But, as I said above, squatting, especially when the owners don't want to you to, is very rude and selfish.

Live with your mom and dad if you can't pay rent.

  • I'm sure you still live with your parents, seeing your ignorant attitude towards squatters. :)

  • @landertotxo Well 99% of the population manages to get by without destroying someone else's property! I had to pay my own way through school and I lived in a crappy apartment, went to a local school because I couldn't afford to go out of state to school. It was hard but I did it.

I am also noticing that a lot of people in this video are forigeners who are students. Maybe you would have been better off had you stayed in your own countries and went to school. Your just lazy.

  • evidently, not everyone else has to pay rent or a mortgage.

    so your catagorically wrong there.

    why should YOU be different?

you also are vexed the attitudes of strangers.

this has very little to do with housing.

its completely inconsequential and worse than that. its boring as fuck.

    good day to you.

  • @whiteworld1488

More than drivel itself it's the attitude of most commentors that annoys me. They act like they have some God-given right to march into people's youtube comments section (however disused) and take occupation of it.

  • @whiteworld1488 i agree but house prices are dictated by an unfair system and to use unfair means to avoid that is just looking out for yourself. city planning is social planning and the housing market is aimed at grouping people into price brackets which favour the wealthy. this seems like its simply people seeking a fair deal. all the other issues around it is just down to human nature and the actions people take like any situation in life.

  • @hobogasm Buddy if you don't like the system hit up Cuba, Venezuela, China or another heavily socialist country. Personally I think capitalism is much better and if you don't want to work for what you have then don't blame everyone else for you lack of ambition!

  • @Pick1980a wow, just saying socialist or capatalist is the political scope for some people! well done you know two words. human interaction is more than that. they want to live there, they have the means to. People have different values, they'd rather live like this than through the typical means, brave of them to do what they belive in.

Why you even trying to tell me about "the system" anyway, your from canada (things are different in other countries). retards sure like to simplify the world.

  • @hobogasm They are living they way the want on someonelse dime. If you want to be a drifter and not work then do it, I could care less. But don't take from someone else who did nothing to you in order to live out your slovenly dream.

Your right in Canada we make sure student have enough money to support themselves for their stay before they are allowed in the country. Not only that but if you squatted in a house that I was attempting to reno I would call the cops and they would kick you out!

  • @Pick1980a Everyone's a free loving Hippie until they have to start paying for it themselves.

  • @Pick1980a watch out your talking to yourself there. i really dont think you understand the problem, in London, Where i live, the is a premium on space and the amount of housing doesn't fit the amount of people well. If you were to look around, as anyone should before commenting on a situation (agreed?), you will see a constant development work on new housing, because people living 6 to what is a two bedroom house isn't so great. people who take this space and do nothing with it because they...

  • @Pick1980a are trying to speculate on the market, are what is termed as "greedy c*nts." This can often lead to the place becoming a center for drug users and/or vandals who not only damage the property but increase crime levels in the local area. People like this move in because, being the kind of greedy people they are, dont want to live on the street with their family consisting of two small children and by doing so prevent these shady uses of the place. know something before you speak out.

  • @hobogasm Your absolutely right if people didn't move into those abandon Mansions and million dollar houses they would be full of crack heads. Give me a fuckin break.

Your not a noble hero and neither are they.

  • @Pick1980a

You are aware that China is no longer in any sense a socialist country, right? The "Communist Party" just maintains its dictatorship while for instance giving no decent education or healthcare for peasants and hosting sweatshops making goods under contract for western corporations

  • @Daniel0112358 Who's the dictator? I would agree that China is not a socialist country but then again they never were really. However, they are definitely not a dictatorship because that would require a long standing dictator and they do not have one.

Anyway, my point was that even so called socialist countries don't have a whole lot to offer. Your not allowed to squat in Norway, Sweden and other true socialites countries aren't so lax when it comes to squatting. Wonder why that is?

  • @Pick1980a

    1. China--It is a single party dictatorship. The unelected president, chosen by a conference of the Communist Party is Hu Jintao. Just because their is party control or alteration of executives doesn't mean it wasn't a dictatorship. For instance, there were no incredibly long-running leaders in post Stalin USSR. Many died in office, but at least Kruschev was removed by Party opponents.

  • @Daniel0112358 Can you look up the definition for Dictatorship please because i really do not think you know what it means.

A dictator is by definition a single individual so how can a single party and dictator be in the same term when they contradict each other. The "Party" controls everything not Hu Jintao. If Mao was still in power you might have a point. Ironically after Mao the Chinese communist party ended up acting a lot like the post Stalin USSR. Go pick up a book & come back

  • It's not just god given right, it's constitution given right.

You have a right to have a roof over your head. They squat EMPTY flats man. EMPTY.

Filling a house with life is not a crime, it's a duty.

Letting the banks to take control ove you is a crime, against your soul.

You think paying a rent is normal? I think living in houses is normal.

  • @whiteworld1488 on the contrary you can not just "take over a property" there are quite a few legit rules and regulations especially when attempting to legally possess an abandoned property. i agree nobody has a right to just "march into peoples property and take occupation of it" but there are millions upon millions of properties which have been abandoned and lost int he paper shuffle that could overturned into a productive and beneficial property.

  • Good to see people having a great big fuck off to convention and just doing things their way.

Not hurting anyone, not hurting themselves. I think its worthy of a bit of respect.

  • If you want a home then buy your own home or live with relatives. Don't live on the private property of someone without their permission.

  • whiteworld your such a dick not everyone can afford to buy a house unless your some high flyer earning shed loads of money which most people are not. If a building is empty and unused and there are people who dont have anywhere to live or who can't afford to keep paying extortinate rent then why not there's no harm in no gets hurt, until the police come storming in and put people on the street.

  • I don't mind them occupying a truly empty and disowned house. It annoys me when the owner comes along and says please leave and they start bitching about their frigging squatter's rights.

  • Fuck off you white supremist wank. What a suprise - something pisses you off haha.

  • how do you kn ow his name means white supremisy? It could mean anything. He s just stating his opinion why attack him with hate.

Great video, good to see people making something positive out of an empty space.

  • Because his name is Whiteworld and 14 means "the fourteen words" (look them up on wikipedia), and 88 stands for HH i.e. Heil Hitler or another 88 word phrase.

All the youtube wanna-be-Nazi's have 1488 at the end of their name.

    I doubt it's a coincidence.

  • niCe one!!

spend a time squatting around LOndon babyLOn...know some places from the video, even some faces!!

    keep on squatting!!

  • that's right brother, Don't give up the fight for housing!

  • how can you call theese people scum, they're in pretty much every case happy creative people who are nothing but helpful to the envoronment and community who struggle to be able to afford things like paying the rent and general living, this is their only way of staying off the streets and keeping warm.

what would you rather see, a homeless person on the street cold and hungry?

    No I don't think so.

  • hola amigo

  • reespect to you all..equality and freedom

  • They all seem so happy!

  • I directed this video, and I am squatter as well, I am studying filmmaking, the fees are very expensive, the local authority doesn't give me even a loan, I have to struggle to pay the course and eat at the same time, If I had to pay rent, it would be impossible to study and probably I had to continue working as a kitchen porter, for me squatting is a chance, a big one.

  • If they need a place to stay...why call them scum?

  • @Kamonoyousha I agree with you ..

not like 2 or 3 posts down ...shoot them n alll... some people is just silly on the way of thinking..

some comments here are just disgusting really ...let them squatt as long as the place has been empty for a long time .. :))))
