  • @StoneyMcGee123 Most sleep apnea are obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Central sleep apnea is more common to older people (65+), heart disease and neurological disease. However, this guy is seems to be young and obese or musculatr dystrophy related apnea.

  • AimForMyHead81 You should have sleep study if you have insurance. Most insurance do cover sleep apnea becasue it can prevent you having stroke, heart disease and other medical complications. If you don't have insurance atleast have the study and buy CPAP machine online. Its a lot cheaper than doctors office.

  • CPAP is the most effective non-invasive way to treat sleep apnea. Note, I said treat not cure. Notice he is havning efforts to breath with no air movement until he gasps for air. The gasbing is what waking you up from sleep to wake hence making you tired during the day. Aslo, your blood oxygen drops and puts a lot stress on your body specially your heart.

  • im worried in case I have this... I ALWAYS breathe loud at night, and just wont stop!!! Any help????

  • @AimForMyHead81 video tape yourself. then see if what you do in your sleep corresponds to the symptoms of sleep apnea. if so, go to your doctor and they can probably sign you up for sleep studies. Also CPAP and BIPAP machines are of great use.

  • @StoneyMcGee123 There are 2 types of sleep apnea. Central and Obstructive. Obstructive being caused by #1 Neck Obesity, narrow airway, fixed upper airway lesions, as well as some neurologic diseases affecting muscle tone. Weight management should be implemented for all overweight patients with OSA. Central sleep apnea is commonly attributed to ANS lesions, neurological diseases, high altitude, or heart failure.

  • @krahl4 *There are three forms of sleep apnea: central (CSA), obstructive (OSA), and complex or mixed sleep apnea (i.e., a combination of central and obstructive)

  • Steaming pile of dung....

  • I got sleep apnea from extraction orthodontic work, I made a video if anyone has experienced the same, Happy 4th, Carrie

  • that was a greasy fart...

  • My dad had this and died... of a massive heart-attack, due to heart blockage from lack of air.

  • @Not2bforgot10

Sorry for your loss, I got this from lousy orthodontic work.

  • @Not2bforgot10

Indeed I know people struggling with that same issue but luckily they have great medical insurance and will not have to go into debt to have the blockages removed from the arteries. Ahh modern medicine.

  • Oh my gosh, this poor guy! Did you wake him up in the end? He looks terrified...

  • @JLife15 Snoring's not the issue, kthx.

  • Getting so fat that you can't breath normally in your sleep = fail

  • @Goatoftheforest weight isn't the only cause you idiot. Even just being MALE puts you at a higher risk..

  • @tangocolt02 Right, you can't choose what sex you are born, but you can choose how many cheeseburgers and donuts you eat

  • @Goatoftheforest AKA you're an idiot. Thanks :)

  • Put him on a C-PAP machine! My dad uses it. It made a huge difference. He's less tired and irritable in the mornings.

    BTW, 1:56 was hilarious! xD

  • wert ?

  • I hope he got a CPAP unit set at a high pressure!!!! Cause im sure he his worse in Supine position!!

  • He's got terrible apnea.

  • 1:56 LOL

  • LMAO THIS IS TOO FUNNY HOW THE MAN FARTS IN HIS SLEEP LOL

  • @StoneyMcGee There are many skinny little women with severe sleep apnea. You are right on the money! I have severe sleep apnea, but I also have a weight problem. I'd bet I'd still have it even if I lost weight. I have a thick neck and a small jawline.

  • lol at 1:56

  • @sleepingdoll100 - does that machine make noise then /?? sounds like a right ol contraption..!

  • @SovereignBeing I USE A BREATHING MACHINE IT DOES MAKE A NOISE,NOT THAT BAD BUT IT IS NOTHING COMPARED TO HOW I USED TO SNORE BEFORE I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH SLEEP APNEA

  • Video tip of the day:

Keep camera still and don't zoom.

  • I sound like that and I'm a girl...its really embarrassing. It makes being intimate with my boyfriend hard because I'm so scared that I'm gonna fall asleep afterward and that he's going to hear my snoring. I've actually had men tell me to go home afterward because they can't stand that sound. Its something I've cried about, and I'm only 23. I don't have alot of money, and I cant afford insurance, but I don't wanna live like this anymore. I feel bad for him, I bet he's always exhausted too.

  • @FiestyCat86

Go to the doctor...this is serious....you will die!

    You need the CPAP machine....

    worked wonders for me!

  • @MegaJim79 Sounds wonderful...but like I said...No money and no insurance. My dad had sleep apnea to, and I saw the bills on the counter, that stuff isn't cheap, and i'm broke. I am worried about what its doing to me physically and mentally, but what's a girl gonna do when its a choice between putting gas in the car and food in her belly, or spending money on a noisy machine that will probably keep her up all night anyway.

  • @FiestyCat86 Search in Amazon for Nozovent Anti-Snore and similar products that may help you tremendously. I use Nozovent strips myself which are reusable and last about 3 months before they lose flexibility, but they are not expensive for what they do to help.

  • @Hurtman2000 i will do that, thank you...I'm trying everything I can, and trying to save as much as I can. I appreciate the gesture, its kind of you to give me that info. Along with MegaJim79. You guys are awesome!!

  • @FiestyCat86 my pleasure. If you ever do have questions about the CPAP machine (pumps air into you), or the UPPP surgery and the pros and cons of them both you can always ask me as I have the CPAP machine (on my 4th mask since they have different models and some ppl do not adjust to them - I hardly ever use even though) and have had the UPPP surgery. I still have Sleep Apnea (went from 65 episodes an hour to 35), but at least I don't wake up gasping for air at nights like before.

  • go to the doctor man, your life is in danger...

  • Phil Margera?

  • He needs treatment ASAP! before its too late...

  • looks like a hog.

  • Sleeping on your side makes no difference if you have a soft palate collapse or nasal passage blockage. That 'sleep on your side' is an old husband's myth.

Even skinny people and young children have sleep apnoea. It is again a myth overweight people are the only ones who suffer.

  • Sleep apnea can cause anoxia to the point of seizure. I have had a personal experience with this. Had to call 911 on a friend. In the end everything was fine but it could have been fatal.

  • My brother has sleep apnea. One of his problems, he'll sit there and will be talking to you, then a second later he'll start snoring. I think that's only a part of it.

  • We said to our dad that we had secretly filmed while asleep and this was the video..

He believed us was really embarrassed that it was on youtube. He does look like my dad.

  • Sleep apnea almost killed me, too. Now I take Secrets of Eden Acai Energy Boost and use a CPAP.

    I thank God for both!

  • I had a similar problem. Then I started drinking the Coca-Cola Company's 'Coca-Cola' product.

Praise the Lord for Coca-Cola! And always live on the Coke side of life!

  • There are several causes, and yes, skinny people can snore too. I was diagnosed in 2002 at Ohio State. My CPAP changed my life.

  • Sleep apnea is a condition that causes a person to stop breathing for short periods of time during their sleep. The most effective way to treat this condition is with continuous positive airway pressure, also known as CPAP.

  • When he woke up, that was crazy! Are you sure he's not the guy from "The Texas Chainsaw"..?

  • yup..every one that feel they might have sleep apnea..should definetly get it checked out.....it only gets worse..loosing weight; not drinking alcohol and smoking can help, but wont fix the problem....GET IT CHECKED OUT ASAP.......

  • It gets worse? Are you sure? My dad has had it for as long as I can remember. At least twenty years. And it hasn't seemed to get worse. He just has to take a lot of naps and stuff. I used to be annoyed by his snoring. But now it makes me happy cause at least I know he's sleeping peacefully. But anyways I was worried by you saying it gets worse cause the doctor said I either have it or will. But I sleep just fine now.

  • No, it really can take its toll on you.

  • it all depends why you have it in the first place. It can only gett better if lets say his problem is weight. Lets say a person weighs 400 pounds and his sleep apnea is caused by that. Now this person losses 200 pounds ...if the apnea is caused only by weight then it makes sense if you lose weight your apnea gets better. HOWEVER...most people have apnea for other reasons and while losing weight might help it WILL NOT eliminate Sleep Apnea. Get your dad to a DR right away

  • Just because you think you sleep fine does not mean that you do. When you slow down or stop breathing your brain awakes ever time. These awakenings are so short that you do not ever remember them. So while you think that you slept for 6 hours you might only be sleeping half of it. Let alone that due to these arausals or awakenings your brain never gets into deeper stages of sleep because it is constantly awakening. Most People that have sleep apnea cant tell that they do.They say I sleep fine.

  • lol

  • lmao, my dad use to snore worse the neighbours could hear it.

  • lol i love the ending :)

  • you seem pissed off.

What was worse the crack about genocide or Midnight Express?

  • No,I'm really, not pissed. As I said,I couldn't care less. But the thing is,I know quite little about Midnight Express,it's a successfull film,it reflects some truth about my country,so what. Everyone has their sins for their own. As you would've guessed,I'm no blind nationalist like others. My country has its shitty policies of its own,as much as any other country. Everyone knows that. But the larger the nation, the dirtier its secrets. Naah. Why am I even discussing this. Do whatever you want.

  • omg...you americans are way fat.pay attention to what you eat for f*ck's sake! with those kind of health policies going on in your country, your government plans to kill the lot of you slowly.I bet.

  • thanks for the critique of our government.

By the way, has your government finally acknowledged their role in the masacre of the Armenians.

    adios Midnight Express

  • I don't pay shit about that. But now that you're trying to carry this topic on a political platform,at least my government is doing this to protect me. Even though that is a pathetic and needless attempt. (btw,WTF is an Armenian? Merely a nation or a people . They are a little more than a nuisance.) So I am closing this argument and saying again : It could be good for some Americans to lose some weight. I'm saying this for your own good,no hostility intended.

  • we eat a lot, you slaughtered armeanians

  • for you to critize Americas Policy on Health is a Political Subject.

The Accent on these kids is European.

even though the publshers location is FL.

  • you suck. I gave you a thumbs down. go to hell.

  • OMG who cares what you think...

  • This video seems somewhat... Voyeuristic..

  • SLEEP APNEA kills people slowly. Get his problem checked out people. Dentists can help and physicians but opening the airway. Listen...the guy can barely breath.

  • I didn't believe i was snoring until my son said I snored just like this guy! I was shocked.

  • If he has sleep apnea he should get a CPAP machine. It is also better to sleep on your side, not on your back if you have breathing problems. BTW, nice house!

  • once he gets used to the cpap his life will dramatically improve very quickly. CPAP!

  • Weight issues aren't always the problem to sleep apnea. I've had sleep apnea for years and I've NEVER had a weight problem. I've been a healthy weight my whole life. Sure, sleep apnea can ALSO be caused by being over weight. But, that's not the only way you can have it. Do some research next time you decide to be a smart ass.

  • I heard the same that your weight has nothing to do with.

  • Weight issues CAN cause it but, it's not the ONLY thing that can cause it.

  • Weight is a key factor on the pressure pun on to your chest and abdomen. As little as the weight normally gained in a pregnancy can worsen the condition.

  • @StoneyMcGee123 I just been diagnosed with Severe Sleep Apnea...I am also quite slim, no overweight at all. The doctors are going to give me a CPAP machine.

Do you have any treatment? Have you tried the machine? Does it work?

    Thanks

  • @Span1shUk The only "treatment" (that I've personally been made aware of) is the surgery (which may not even fully treat the problem) and the C-PAP Machine. I've had my C-PAP machine for a few years now. It's very very tough to get used to it and stay commited to wearing it. But it does help...a lot. No matter how annoying they are, they make a world of difference. All I can say is, if you have a CPAP, USE IT!! Don't give up. It surely is annoying the first few weeks/months but it gets better.

  • @StoneyMcGee123 C-PAP is treatment, Surgery is 95% cure.Been researching, and am likely getting a C-PA machine... kinda scared about the sleep studies unit part...

  • @tangocolt02 Yes, that's what I said. C-PAP is considered a "treatment". The sleep study is nothing to be worried about. You just spend the night at a place and they hook up a bunch of wires all over you. It's sort of hard to sleep but, if you take sleeping medication, they'll usually allow you to still take it. At least my doctor did. The only pain-in-the-ass part is getting used to the C-PAP machine. That's the most difficult thing. For me, at least.

  • @StoneyMcGee123 are you diabetic? If yes did CPAP machines help you with A1c/fasting sugars?

  • @hebbar77 No, I'm not diabetic.

  • Actually I'm not overweight at all and i have it. So you shouldn't think you know everything.

  • @buddmar looks like he is sleeping on his side

  • Damm he stopped breathing quite a lot!

  • ke*

  • my dad has sleep apnea and i suffer the consequences of his obecity

this is nothing compared to what my dad sounds li

  • Playing the didgeridoo has helped my sleep apnea. I love it and I'm getting good at it now. There is a fun yet educational video on YouTube about this on the "Crazy Cures" channel. Just search YouTube for "sleep apnea didgeridoo" and you'll see it right at the top.

  • Phil Margera is your dad? lol :)

  • Where's Bam?

  • aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaa!!!lol! he did look like the dude from jackass!

  • I did this so that my husband could see himself. He was then scared to sleep and had the sleep study done, and now has the cpap. I should have done it years eariler. He is a changed man now!

  • VIVA CPAP

  • thats like my new stepdad, at my sleepover me and my friends did that and ending up rofl and he dint wake up :S

  • OH SHIT I seriously jumped ROFLMAO. Did he ever get a sleep study done??

  • HA! That is funny. Well, ok....Apnea, if this is that, isn't truly a funny disorder in reality. BUT HELL, I think I need to do this with my husband!!! LOL!

  • dude that's heavy shit... xDDD

  • lol
