At this orphanage, they feel it's important for the children to get a good education to prepare them to qualify for good jobs, and part of that education is learning English.
tibetan orphan fund org - started by 2 8th graders from Seattle after visiting the orphanage as part of a school trip. It is great that the tour groups bring things for the orphanage - I am sure it all helps. The children have amazing attitudes - not a bad one in the bunch - great kids.
Is there a website? Those kids were so adorable and living in such shabby conditions. Then again, considering living conditions in Tibet, I guess it's not so shabby. Tour groups who go there bring things -- our group brought books as they all learn English. A group before us brought blankets.
They are beautiful kids and their little faces were heartbreaking. If a family member can't take them, they can only be adopted by Tibetans, and only if they have no children of their own.
i need to know who runs this orphanage?is there a short lady sonam yangzom who runs this?
