  • how heavy are you? there is no way i could take my laser out in that weather.

  • hello i'm marco and i'm italian i'm pratic sailing on a laser radial for 8 months but i have one question the laser radial with 20-25 knots how many knots is able to do? answer my please marco thank

  • @Marcoghelardi well if your asking how fast can you go then i would say about 10 to 15 knots if you are wondering about a max windspeed then i would say about 26 knots i will post this for you also in italain

  • @Marcoghelardi anche se il vostro chiedendo quanto velocemente si può andare quindi direi circa 10-15 nodi, se vi state chiedendo su un massimo windspeed allora potrei dire su 26 nodi

  • Hope he got a ride back up wind.

  • some pretty awesome sailing right here

  • Nice Waves! XD

  • wow where is this? some prety dam big waves there

  • rolf love the intro,

having trouble keeping up with the sailors due to only having a 70 hp engine,

they must be going CRAZY fast

  • wow thats so fast

  • what better way to spend a day: Surfing downwind in conditions like that... heaven!

  • and there is nothing like a good reach

  • it is true that alot of laser sailers go on to win big things but there are some sailors who havent sail lasers and have won big too i agree that it is one of the better boats to learn on its good for people of all levels

  • I've just sold my Topper and have purchased a Laser. I CAN'T WAIT to try it out!

  • holy crap! If he deathrolls thats it for him! xD

  • Well that is it... it inspired me. I have not sailed since I was a kid of 15, but I am going to find a club near me... this looks great fun!

  • hmm..I just won the melges 24 Australian champs and I don't sail lasers. your an idiot

  • Bet you had some Laser sailors on your crew

  • actually no. it would be hypocritical if i said what i did in the first place, and I'm not a hypocrite

  • 'the 70hp engine has trouble keeping up with the laser'? WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT. laser sailors are so arrogant. their boats are shit and they think they are so much better than any other class. i'd like to see one of you guys steer an 18fter or a 49er

  • maybe this laser sailors arrogant. Most laser sailors want to one day sail 18fters or 49ers but use the laser as a boat to train on to learn tactics. Not everyone can find a fleet of 30+ other of the same one designs within 100 miles of them but most lasers sailors can.

  • learn tactics in an opti when you're young, win gold medals in a laser

  • do you know that every sailing champion (EVERY!!!!) became from years on Laser??idiot!!

  • lol i aint ever (EVER!!!!) raced a laser and i just won one of the biggest 29er championships in nz

  • yea i agree with this skiff sailing is a completly different world of sailing

  • i dont sail on the sea so i dno all the principles of wave sailing but it does take a bit more effort. and laser are good racing boat but it depends on how heavy u r. u cud always buy a smaller rig but i wud start of in a topper

  • Dude, I hate reading this shit. learn to write normally.

  • shhhhhh dont cry

  • lol

  • Would you recomend a laser for a begginner sailor? Also, what do you mean by principles of wave sailing? Is there more techniques involved?

  • A Laser is a great boat to start off with. They come with 3 different size sails to coach for your size and experiance. The most important thing you should do if you want to start sailing is get hold of your local sailing club and see if they run a learn to sail course

  • Do they often run thoose courses for 35-yearolds?

  • It Really depends how heavy you are,

if you are 55kg or over I would reccomend starting in a 4.7,

Wave sailing takes more technique, but is more fun =]

  • are u from the uk

  • come on ireland (best sailors in the world)

  • I could dispute that

  • Where were you last olympics?

  • Comment removed

  • yea i dnt really think u shld say what nation has the best sailors cause at the moment everyone keeps buying new zealand sailors

  • awsome video, do you have to have a special laser to do that? it seems like that would put a tremendous amount of stress on the boat

  • to do wat?

  • really really good man...its a very good location.

    I have a laser to...its a great boat.

  • laser is good, but europa is better because it s more tactical

    try it;)

  • away and sniff

  • y laser has more competition making it a more tactical boat

  • how fast were those lasers going appx?

  • About 15knots on a low reach

  • hmm mabs like 12-13 at the most id say but im sure lasers cld get to that

  • really good!!

i have some videos like yours

    have a look

    congratulations!

  • nice sailing man, really nice! but try the finn, it's better!! :DDD

  • I have a laser sailboat. I love the speed. I love to hike on it too. My favorite part is reaching, but I also enjoy pointing into the wind. The more wind the better.

  • i wich the weater were like that at home in Umeå^^

  • thats an Irish boat where is this taken

  • Great!

  • if you had a 70hp engine you could easly keep up! great vid!

  • Like the narrator thing at the start. Noticed the IRL sail aswell :D

  • I guess it was filmed on the United Kingdom...
