Thanks everyone for responding. The handle modification will work on the grease pot and Plasti Dip is available at major hardware store and appears to be the right stuff. The handle modification is not quite what is required for the 10 and 12 cm handles as they are flat strap. I am looking for a simple way out. Thanks again.
Could you make the die for the big pot on the other side? That could save you some money. Im not sure if you would have enough meat on the die when you press a small lid so it wouldn't deform. Probably would work if you had a bigger diameter blank to make them out of.
Cult Classic! I tested my 10 cm Imusa today, with it full of soup the handle was too hot! I think it sticks out too far also. Fiberglass wick will not solve the handle sticking out issue. Anyone have any ideas?
@grizz7721 leatherman squirt ps4 is great for that and other things as well. rei sells a two-fingered plus athumb silicon pot grabber that looks useful.
@grizz7721 I believe Jason Klass did a video on dipping the handles of a pot into some liquid rubber or something that when dried will take heat pretty well. I'm sure there's other video's out there on it. I used high temp silicone tubing for handles on my SP700 but that won't work on the IMUSA pots. Good luck if you find something post a video on it. :)
question- do you think its a good idea to use he unopened end of a fosters pot for the base and cut off the top for the ring and mouthgaurd. maybe too likely get into trouble witk too much heat or an accidental poke in just the wrong spot would open a hole or something. just curious cause i have made some in the past and have been very careful while using. works nice to get all the way to the bottom of the pot for eating or cleaning, also indexes well on varoius pot stands.
Not being a machinist, is it possible to make the larger size on the reverse side of the blocks you now have? Would that interfere with placing it in your press? Just wondering is two sizes could be cut out of one set of blocks.
tinny,
can you cut a die on the reverse side of the same block of metal?

Tinny,
If your blank size is big enough for both pots, why can't you put one pot die on one side and the other on the reverse side of the die?

Tinny, thank you for allowing me to learn from you!!! It gave me a migraine just trying to follow you. But I understood for the most part.

Can you use both sides of the dies so one die works for both, or would the press burger up the die side not in use?

@grizz7721 hammock forums has an interesting handle mod for an IMUSA pot. Just do a google search and it comes up.

I stand corrected. They are two different size pots. Still want a lid for the 12cm pot. Thanks for the correction.

I'm thinking there's a way to design your dies to stamp "minibulldesign cult" on the products you make .
