great vid it's been a long time since I've heard this song. btw are you sure Ed is 100 years old or is that just speculation? also I think those are Ed's great great grandkids in the OVA and maybe Ed named one of his kids after Al. That'd be really sweet of him :D because I think they say "we brot a gift from andpa Al" at least that's what I remeber it's been a while since I've seen the video.

Royai is called that because the spelling of Hawkeye's last name is Japanese. End's with 'ai'...thats why it's not Royeye like you described. Havocai is the same way..'ai'

OVA is Original Video Animation

They're episodes that are extra to the series. With many series they aren't actually part of it and are just funny. FMA has a few, such as one where the characters were actually actors and they hold a 'cast party' to celebrate the FMA movie.

Other series, such as HunterxHunter ended but the manga continued on, so they did the next arc as OVAs extra to the series instead of making another season.

Royai refers to Roy and Riza as a pairing. Oftentimes the names get smushed together, such as Bradjelina in the tabloids. Another common one is EdWin (Ed and Winry).

hah, this is rather a late reply, but i really don't get how 'Roy' and 'Riza' = 'Royai'!! Unless they just jumbled all the letters together to make it sound like a real word? ;p

I think they mixed Roy's name with the sound of the 'eye' in Riza's last name. It sounds like 'ai' so add Roy & you get 'Royai'.

You guys should watch the fma ova 3, its a short 3 minute clip this was based on. Ed is a great great grandpa at 100 years old and I'm pretty sure Al is dead. The kids only said grandpa Al not great great.

No. Al's not dead in the ova. The kids said they had a gift for Ed from Grandpa Al. I think they just call them both 'Grandpa' because it's easier. Plus it wouldn't make Ed & Al feel THAT old. They were just calling Ed 'Great, Great, Great, Great etc. Grandpa for fun.

This video is amazing. Whoever put this together deserves a round of applause! I fell in love with this anime back around the end of 2004. My mom passed away ealier this year and that devastated my younger brother and I. If alchemy existed as it does in FMA, you can bet that we'd be on that same foolish quest as well.
