Bush was not blind sided by 911, he was informed of an upcoming terrorist attack by a CIA briefer on August 6 2001 in Crawford, He was shown the memo "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US." After hearing the full briefing he told the CIA briefer "All right. You've covered your ass, now."

There were 2 major terror attacks on the Mainland under Bush' watch yet no one has been prosecuted, in fact one attack was not even investigated

In the 90's Alqaida did maybe 1 attack per year, after the declaration of "the War on terror" (post 911) AlQaida performed 1000's of attacks a year.

Only one attack had taken place on US soil prior to 911 (WTC1) and that was 8 years before GW took office, so the frequency of attacks was rare. The attacks on US forces in the name of AlQaida are almost always by people who did not consider America an enemy until the invasion of Iraq, the "war on terror" has increased the ranks of AlQaida.

AlQaida was considered a criminal entity even in the Arab world until Bush made them "righteous" by calling the "war on terror" a crusade.

Al Qaida is a terrorist group - end of story. There is a distinct difference between a criminal and a terrorist. Criminals commit crimes usually for the purpose of a personal gain - a rational (if extreme) motive that a detective might understand and be able to use for investigative purposes.

A (muslim) terrorist needs no reasonable motive but Allah's will. They just hate America - probably more than many leftists. Clinton was clearly wrong in his decisions regarding terrorism.
