Clover makes 9 inch bamboo premium knitting needles. They aren't quite as inexpensive as what you did in the video, but they are the right length. I crochet more than knit, but the 9 inch bamboo knitting needles are the perfect size for scarves. I have the no. 10 1/2 (6.5 mm), which is a perfect size for most scarves.
thanks for sharing mikey. Also, you just taught me what that yarn is used for!! I've seen it plenty of times in the yarn store, but never knew what it was for or what to do with it!! Thought it was to make ribbons or something!!! smh. lol.
I simply use the best chops sticks available at an Asian market called Leelee's they have tons of them, all sizes, clear ones, glass ones, wooden ones bamboo , steel you name it! they work well and they come in all sizes!
this is great, i was just saying to bf that i wished mine was smaller.. im going to have to look on-line for plastic one. they only sell the metals ones here in the shops.
this is a great idea and is one of the reasons why I haven't bought any needles is because they are too big, so now I just need to find the plastic ones as I have metal ones and can chop those up. lol
That is a great idea and you have helped me out with a plastic tip that broke..now I know I can reshape it with a pencil sharpener!!! I <3 YOU and your great tips! Thank you!
I use to make my knitting needles smaller. My husband cut them for to the ideal length and I just add a bead on the square end or make my own polymer clay bead for that end. And voila new knitting needles and are unique.
omg i so love you i am a beginner crocheter and your videos have already taught me so much so thank you and keep up the awesome work

you can also attach a bead to the other end and get two sets of needles out of one long one.

Silly question. Can I use chopsticks to knit? I know I can use them to eat and they seem the right shape. What do you think?
mcwjes 1 month ago
@mcwjes That's what I did when I taught myself to Knit. I just sharpened the end of the chopsticks i had and they worked like a charm.
