It is sooooo sad this generation doesn't know about the courage of Mandela and Tutu or the bringing down of the Berlin wall. What heros exist today? Not even a hero, just a decent role model. Well ...besides Craig (and his honesty and intelligence).
Sorry but that's bs...the election of Barack Obama is nowhere near what went down in the RSA. Mandela was and is a genuine leader who actually cares. The election of Obama was just politics...
His philosophy and practice of Truth, Forgiveness, and Reconciliation is absolutely correct. If the same type of "Truth and Reconciliation Committee" could be applied for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, I feel a compromise would be reached quicker than one would expect.
Father Tutu and the Dalai Lama have one marvelous trait in common, both have a wonderful sense of humor. Craig has a marvelous trait too, he knows when to put his humor aside. Great show.
I'm still a work in progress in terms of religiosity, but I'm a big believer in how the Catholics (7 deadly sins) view the sin of pride as a central sin, like the originator of most any kind of sin. It's disappointing to me how the word "pride" is used in a favorable light these days. Pride, historically, is considered a poinsonous vice. Pride is what keeps you from admitting you are wrong or being open to the fact that you have much to learn which. It's bad news.
Thanks for posting!! Too bad he couldn't have done a two hour commercial free special. I mean c'mon how many ShamWows and Dysons really get sold at that hour anyway.
Thank you

Craig doesn't even think about trivial stuff like: "is this entertaining?" - He's letting the man speak. And I admire him for that.

A living legend. Beautiful interview. I hope Craig gets more people like this on his show from time to time.

It kind of felt like he was talking right to me when he was talking about saying sorry. With the stuff going on now I really do need too...
