couldnt agree more..i think the raft scene with the paralell with the three brothers on the raft and owen, adrien, and jason is brilliant..the bill murray scene was a "finest moment" you took the words right out of my mouth

What a Wes Anderson movie dealing with family dysfunction with ornately designed backgrounds and slow motion sequences set to British invasion tunes by the Kinks and The Rolling Stones? Wes you're a genius.

I guess I'm saying that since Rushmore Anderson has made the same movie. As his movies have progressed they have become more distant and emotionless. He needs to tackle something different and prove he hasn't become a self parody.

I personally don't want him to change. It's his style. Woody Allen more or less made the same movie for years and they were all great.

I'm sorry I can't agree, Royal Tennenbaums was Rushmore in a house, Life Aquatic was Royal Tennenbaums on the water and the Darjeeling Limited is Royal Tennenbaums on a train. What I am saying is Anderson needs to try something different, set a movie in the real world with characters that aren't merely a set of quirks, and no familial dysfunction. So he proves he has not become a self parody.

And I'm just saying if I want something differfent I'll watch a different director. I personally love the Anderson formula and can't wait till a new one comes out every 2-3 years.
