@headcrabslayer Metropolice are normal humans that have joined up with the Combine for power over others, better rations, etc. If they choose, they can be transported to Nova Prospekt and be turned into cyborg Combine soldiers, which are the main enemies you fight in the game. There is no actual Combine "race", they're made up of lots of different species, including humans.

The writing was far superior to the brothers, but the acting was as poor as in Escape from city 17. All in all, a respective alternative to the brothers. If you want to see something really shitty, you should check out Beyond black mesa. That's really horrible.

The first time I watched this, I was unable to instantly depict if it was a serious, or humorous video. I thought the monologue was banal and aimless, yet it tried so hard to achieve that serious, dramatic angle. To me it was like a cliche fan-fic written by a pseudo-intellectual pre-teen on deviantART.
