  • what's the country song at the end?

  • Man, how can you check that flush on the river in heads-up? That was such a sick play!! I still think he did it because he felt Demidov had hit his straight on the turn, and not because he was likely to bet the (missed) flush draw that he tried to represend on the turn. So, he did the wrong move, but with the sickest profit.

  • Both great players but eastgate got dealt the deck.

  • I have realised tha all players make stupid all ins against eastgate.....it's like it is set up for eastgate to get the wsop....

  • He acts like he won a $50 sit and go! come on eastgate, show some emotion you won 9 million!

  • do they keep all the money they win or does the state take half?

  • "No daimond! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" hahaha cracks me up everytime xD

  • $3,342,821 heads up**

  • @johnsmith7490 Fuck off, seriously, every poker video on youtube...

  • sarcasm anyone?! geeez...

  • lol the "no diamond!! aaarrrgggh!" part is funny

  • it helps that eastgate has no emotions lol.

  • awesome!

  • @zepstess2624

  • rheem is good player

  • i like demidov! he was not that lucky as eastgate headsup

  • Pity... that bracelet is on eBay now.

  • very nice slowplays by eastgate; also lucky

  • Eastgate is undoubtedly the best WSOP winner since poker got big back in 2002 or 2003. Too many fish have won it, like Gold and Cada, but Eastgate was actually a good player for once, refreshing.

  • learn win poker search on google :

    zigna sgucci

  • Eastage must be the most deserving Champion in Ages!!

  • @aniketranade hey you know how to bet in that much money like is it really that much money did they buy the chips when he wins that much does he really recieve all that money?

  • @aniketranade agreed

  • 6:05 hahahahahahahah NO DAIMUND! OH GAWWWWWWWD

  • i feel bad for demidov...

  • icegate is so intimidating, with his death stare

i also miss the commentators saying "insta-call"

  • ha hes like "yea i just won $9 million, so what" two really good, professional players

  • and for those who dont know peter eastgate has quit poker

  • Are the percentages simply the chances they have of winning the round?

  • @RyanMcFryin IDIOT ICEGATE IS HES NICKNAME THATS Y HE CALLS HIM LIKE THAT!

  • i am in 2010 in brazil

  • lol at the end, he doesnt seem to realise he just won 9 million and still stacks his chips ^^

  • omg look at that mountain of money

  • Ugh... I hate Eastgate, but Demidov played way too stupidly. He is the shittiest bluffer I have ever seen.

  • @FasterThanAKenyan

Shittiest bluffer? You gotta be kidding me. Demidov is very selective with aggression who has very good post-flop skills. His aggressions and past bluffs are what made him accumulate lot of chips and got his monster hands paid off. Of course, in this video, he looked very stupid by making unnecessary aggression but you gotta understand that they've been playing for over 10 hours and they're tired. Many players at this stage made stupid mistakes. Schwartz and Phillips also.

  • @haroonKS, if you notice, my comment is 4 months old. If you check the older messages, you'll see it was in response to someone saying something to the effect "Why he's so disappointed about 2nd? He made it far and still won a lot of prize money"

  • wis was pretty sick

  • im new to poker and wsop and i dont get one thing.... how come first place gets only 9 million dollars when they have chips worth much more than that.. like they have got 20 million or so worth of chips what happens to all that money????

  • @sykhophaunt7

That does not represent real money, it's just chips...

Like you buy in for the tournament and you start with 10,000 chips or whatever (no idea what the amount is)

  • @UndercoverLdn so why dont they just have chips worth the amount they buy in instead .... ???? makes things much simpler right??.....

  • buy in is like around 40k isn't it?

  • 6:52 lol

  • 6:52 lol

  • royal flush vs Quad aces

  • skill? who the hell defines what skill is? silly pro's who make some rules on how to bet? These players outlasted thousands of players, they are skilled at what they do, more than you you egomaniac

  • Are you kidding? Do you actuallt win 9 million dollars? Fo real?

How much is the entering fee?

  • @kortison 10k

  • @kortison $10,000 and over 6800 people entered

  • 10 000 dollars

  • pfff he was very lucky all the tournment

  • ohhh because you saw every hand he played..... idiot

  • The "no diamond guy" 6:05 is PRICELESS!!! OH GOOOOODD

  • hahahahhaha

  • These two were much better than this years heads-up with moon and cada.

  • @rwright3111 100% agreed, AINEC!!!

  • @rwright3111 yeah because they where real players not a 21 year old online donk that re raises all in 44million chips with a pair of 2s after being raised with 3 people left, and a hillbilly that just had the luckiest streak in poker, in the history of the game.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, if I made it that far, I would want to win it all. 2nd would be nice, but to have come that close and lose? You gotta go for the gold.

  • @Hawk8777 If i made it that far i'd tell the guy if u forfeit to me ill take the 2nd place price money and u can take the 1st place. cuz who would turn down 5mil guaranteed extra.

  • @Hawk8777 I agree. This is not a donk tournament where you reach money and shove every hand till you lose.

  • ya i would agree.....whats wrong with a cool 5 mil.....even better 1 mil...or even better...I could go on...really what is wrong with him....pride?.....that much money I would just say ha 2ND PLACE KICKS ASS MUCH ASS AS 1ST....OH YA...good point though....

  • @MindFilterExperience I assume that when you make it through 16,000 players (or so) and you're heads up for the title, to miss out on the title by just 1 position, that would hurt. The money is a consolation once you're in that position i suppose....

  • eastgate is garbage.. just a lucky bastard..

  • Demidov is stupid lol hahaha stupid with 4. something million

  • haha

  • Best WSOP ME so far imo.

  • sick turn, if demidov got away from that somehow, i dont care if eastgate still won, demidov would have deserved to win

  • I liked the part where they played poker.

  • 6:04 damn, i laugh so hard when i saw this... lol

  • yeah me too, this guy is great^^

  • demidov was betting millions on ace high

  • The Donk Who Cried "Rigged"

  • its about 4 million dollar heads up because the second place get 5 mil

  • No matter what... he won and thats important :-)

  • mabey Peter Eastgate enjoyed staying heads up, and didn't want to end it that quick.

Or becouse he might want another winning hand than 4-7 suited :P

  • why didnt eastgate raise after demidov's bet on the river?

  • Comment removed

  • I Think it is because of the 9 to Q straight possibility, that would beat a flush. to me it seemed clear that was what was on eastgate's mind.

  • what? how does that beat a flush?

  • ROFL 9 to Q is only a 4 card straight. Definately beats a flush, well in Front Royal it does anyway.

  • @Lattenkiste whoops, don't know what I was thinking there.

  • a straight doesnt beat a flush

  • lol 9 to Q isn't even a straight and a flush beats a straight too haha

  • The guy is way too cool. Honestly. He's awesome.

  • I don't know. Tell me, why wouldn't you raise someone when you're heads up and they're all in?

You can get so much more chips out of them. Maybe start betting their shoes? Or their girlfriends?

    ur frikkin rediculous man

  • on the first hand, dumbass.

  • hahaha i agree with Private145ssmw

  • what's the name of the song at the end?!

  • he should be more happy. Like Hevad Khan

  • 12 million with nothing...wtf...

  • Comment removed

  • Wow Eastgate has ice running through his veins.

  • I'd settle for 2nd place, heh 9th place this year and you can retire for life!

    I'd be fine with that.

  • when is 2009 gonna air?

  • there will be a live broadcast of the final table on november 9th on bluff magazine's website.

  • eastgate is a good or lucky or good and lucky player

  • 5,000,000 for second? Hell Id be totally fine with losing this hand.

  • still ------ no bracelet lol

  • lol!!

  • omg hellmuth u r entertainment

  • la ultima mano fue buenisimaaaaaa

  • Second place prize is better than nothing...sheeet!

  • Eastgate is a damn good player. He got pretty lucky too. He actually has skills though, unlike Jerry Yang (WSOP 2007 champion) =.=

  • wow eastgate is SO lucky. but yes, he also played it well. demidov fell for the trap wen he bet on the river with his ace high after eastgate checked in that first hand.

  • watch him on the episodes of high stakes poker and you'll see how good he is. He plays extremely well and ends up way up playing against some of the worlds greats for cash games

  • Yes people, you need LUCK as well as skill to win WSOP. Peter Eastgate had both.

  • 5.8 million dolars , poor guy

  • 6:04 - 6:07 'No diamond! Ahhhhh..! ^^

  • ahhhhhh GOD xD

  • lmao! but dam

  • eastgate didnt just get lucky

he played well, and when you play well and get the right cards, its hard to lose.

but i do think demidov is an overall better player. i wish he had won.

  • playing well and gettin the right cards is not everything

you need the other faggot not to fold

    unless you bluff or shit

  • 9.15 Mil. Wow.

  • i dontk now whyd it drop in 2006 it was 12 mil

  • simple. smaller field

  • not as much players entered as in 2006

    -_-

  • eastgate was no doubt lucky but not lucky as in suckouts, he had the hands and he played them perfectly. only time he sucked out was against rheem. but poor ivan really would of liked him to win because was in my point of view the better player.

  • Poor Ivon :( He only won about $6 mil, sad day... but ya it sucks

  • Demidov best player in the world!

  • are u kiddin? after watching his horrendus moves I can say he is far from being the best player in the world.

  • What is the title of the song in the end?

  • Lol, at this, so how good do you think moneymaker is?

  • that was such a good wsop so much drama so bad sik beats and sik hands aswel so good and eastgate played solid all the way through but ivan was awesome aswel itsa shame he was alwyas going to get out played by peter so sik

  • lol, not really. remember day 7? Eastgate tried to bluff demidov but Demidov caught him. Eastgate was so disappointed. But wow, Peter is only 22 but is very skilled and still has more potential to improve. I see lot of potential in this kid. Stu Ungar was youngest me champ. It was broken by Phil Hellmuth. And then now, it's broken by Eastgate. I'm definitely sure he's gonna show something and prove that he didn't win by luck. He did play against durrr although he couldn't win.

  • i reckon that this was my fave wsop ever i loved it and im happy 4 peter but gutted 4 ivan cus he was the favourite after chino was knocked out

  • the heads up match lasted for 4 hrs :)

  • demidov is such a weird guy

  • i like Peter Eastgate a lot he doesn't go over the top even though he won i wished i could play like him I'm getting close but i can be a bit of a Phil helmuth sometimes...

  • best player in the table was Chino period? Haha, u gotta be shitting me. The only reason why I was hoping he would win is because I'm Korean-American and it's good to see someone from your ethnicity or nationality win. But let's be real. Eastgate owned the whole table. It's not matter of luck. Chino did lot of stupid shit on the table.

  • Minute Rheem won and doubled up from Demidov, he becomes loose and raises with junk hands like 10 J offsuits. Phillips call, Schwartz reraises with pocket queens enough to put Rheem all in, and then Rheem ponders about whether he should call or fold? wtf? He's short-stacked and he plays junk cards. When Dennis Phillips played his 10 J junk card, he had LOT of chips. But it wasn't same situation for Rheem. Still and always will be amateur player.

  • Most subdued main event winner ever.

  • eastgate is a very good player i think, but you must have luck to win, and he really got very good hands when he played, sucking out AQ vs Rheem's AK, hitting a set against Phillips, and the flush against demidov, pair+flush draw heads up and wheel against two pair heads up...got really good hands in the right spots, but surely not the best player is the one who wins.

  • wtf are you smoking? Eastgate rarely played bingo games. Phillips and Schwartz could've folded their hand since they didn't have shit but they stepped into eastgate's trap by being dumbasses and bluffing with nothing and barely leaving themselves any outs. sucking out? don't make me list every single suckout chino rheem has done in the main event.

  • For instance, you have pocket kings, someone has 7 9. Flop came out K K A. I raise you all in and obviously you call. Do you call that unlucky or do you call that stupidity? Ylon and Phillips were being stupid and raised with NOTHING. Not a single pair, no outs. I mean wtf. 9 10, flop had J 3 2. If Eastgate has a jack, phillips rarely has any outs. If you're gonna bluff, leave yourself some outs. I would understand if he had AK and all ined but 9 10? that's just called stupidity.

  • i agree they bluffed with nothing and it was stupid...i'm just saying that he really murdered every board, but of course you need also luck to win. basicly i haven't seen him doing a very good play, just taking advantage when he had a monster.

  • "just taking advantage when he had a monster" That is called a good play. If you were to put Chino Rheem or other donks like Montgomery in Eastgate's seat and get those exact same cards, they can't do shit. Eastgate traps with pocket aces whereas Chino or Montgomery would go all in and play bingo game.

  • of course it's a good play, but now you can't say Chino was a donk like montgomery...the best player at the final table was Chino, PERIOD. Eastgate was good for sure but was lucky not to stay never in trouble and hitting every hand he played, but played good for sure and is probably the best main event winner in the last 5-6 years.

  • Only reason why I called Chino a donk is because I was watching re-runs of WSOP 2008, he all ins with random ridiculous bullshit hand and ends up making wheels, etc. He tries to bluff against bishop with K 9, gets caught, but gets King on river, then pretends he knows shit about poker and then criticizes Bishop for calling. I mean wtf? Honestly, if someone did that, I would prolly sock him in the face. I've caught idiots who tried to bluff me with AK high, I call them with pocket 2s, and I won.

  • do you think eastgate played it perfectly all the tournament? everybody sucks out sometimes, trust me, in tournament poker you don't go anyway without sucking out...

  • Here's the thing. Eastgate stays calm whether he's winning or not and when he sucks out, he doesn't yell out or act like a fucking dumbass as if he did the right thing. Chino on the other hand, sucks out and then pretends he knows shit about poker and criticizes others for pushing all in or calling his bluff. Eastgate is much better poker player than Rheem will ever be. Eastgate has the true poker emotions and true poker mentality. I have lot to learn from Eastgate than Rheem.

  • "Limps in with half a million."

  • Phil Hellmuth, HISTORY!

  • bad luck for the russian, and one bad play
