Communism isn't neccessarily bad. It depends on the culture. It would never work in America (not well anyway) while it has had great success in China. As far as the European Union goes I believe it is capitalist. The economic freedom it has between it's member nations can and will lead to a prosperity that will rival the greatest of nations. I will say the Soviet anthem was definetly written better. :)

Not necessarily exactly conforming to what Marx had in mind but they were close enough to be considered communist. Secondly I never said communism was bad. You assume I'm American (true) and you assume I think communism is bad (false) and you assume I don't know the difference between socialism and communism (false).
