I love the book Phillip Carlo wrote, Richard Kuklinski is master of his trade he did it all. They better not fuck this movie up and make it lame, I have high hopes for it tho so can't wait for it to come out in the movies.

I actually would have liked to see an actor called Ethan Suplee for the role - not very well known but did a great job in "American History X" and "Butterfly Effect". He'd have the right size, for one, and seems variable enough for the role.

They chose well I like Michael Shannon but also they could have chosen Vincent O'fino (spelled wrong) from Law and Order. You want to pick an actor who is big in size and can portray the Ice Man to the "T". Hopefully this movie finally comes the screens, tired of waiting!

Richard Kuklinski claims alot of things that turn out not to be true. His life, never the less, is still morbidly interesting, however the discrepencies in his own accounts leads one to beleive he has embellished much of his story, He never killed Roy Demaeo as he claims, nor Paul Castillano or Carmine Galante, nor did he murder over 200 peopple if you are to beleive his own words. He later claimed to have only killed around 50. For authenticity, the movie should note he's an opportunistic liar

Too bad they've - not surprisingly, perhaps - given it a shitty modern grading...wtf... It's supposed to be set in the 70s and 80s, instead it looks like Harry Potter or something... :-( What happened to movies in the last decade, I'd sure like to know because they don't look like real films anymore. I guess something like Donnie Brasco's the last big watchable gangster movie, now thing's just look really bad...

@surfin4 Shut up you moron, what Carlo made was a masterpiece. He told the entire true story. Not one part of the book was a lie. He managed to turn the villian into a hero, the guy everyone is rooting for the more you read. Sit down and read it again, but this time DON'T read it thinking its all made up. Everything told in the book is true account of what the Iceman actually did. And this is gonna be one hell of a movie.

@reasland Philip Carlo's book is way better than anthony bruno's, 100% right. Was Anthony Bruno's on New Yorks best seller list? No, I think not. The book was amazing. However, Richard did lie to carlo on a few stories it been revelead that kuklinski did not infact murder Carmine Galante.

@TheDonkyPuncher Hey, there is a book called The Iceman by Philip Carlo. I'd take some of the things in the book with a grain of salt, but other parts of it are accurate. There will be at least one film made with Mickey Rourke as Richard Kuklinski. All the books on the Mafia figures by Philip Carlo are excellent reads, very entertaining
