  • "IQ" was a good name for this product

  • not Iq lol

  • Great device.

  • I want One

  • cool

  • GPS with a radar included !!! iQ

  • like the IQ

  • IQ is a really nice setup

  • nice system

  • GPS integrated in w/ Radar Detection, definitely need to look into one.

  • What a great deal!

  • is this just to see the speed of objects? or do it Detects police too.

  • @Eduardo151515 It detects police radar guns when they are operational, does not detect police cars or cops. Nothing does that

  • @radarroy you are really correct, because even I still have Cobra XRS9445 it detect every signal when on. X is for Construction site or many cross walk for people crossing the street. K is really what light up when the radar gun come on and monitoring speeders. Ka is when police is using their radar gun in the car no matter what vehicle. Regular CAR, SUV and undercover police car all uses the Ka SIGNAL when they have it on. But RADAR GUN DEFINATELY USE THE SIGNAL "K" TO LIGHT UP A DETECTOR.

  • @Eduardo151515 It detects police radar guns

  • I live in VA and I would hop on this in a second if it was undectable by the police. Come on Escort why stop short of Total Shield???? UGH!!!!

  • @okcbrotha Because of the design of the antenna there was no way they could make the IQ stealth

  • Is this detectable by police? I mean... I don't wanna get in trouble just for having it. It looks like a GPS unit, so when I drive through the gate on my military base I don't think I'd have trouble with that, but if there is a system that detects that this is detecting radar I'd be effed. I don't even know if detectors are illegal in CA or not...

  • @NostalgicLink If you live in an area where radar detectors are illegal they use a device called the Spectre and the Spectre can detect the IQ. The detectors that are undetectable are the Escort Redline, Bel STi, Bel STiR Driver. See our website radardetector org for more info and a discount

  • @radarroy Thanks for the reply. Where would I find out if radar detectors are illegal in California or not?

  • @NostalgicLink We have a list of laws on our website, radardetector org

They are only illegal in DC and Virginia

  • If it was having the Redline Range and tottal shield technology to make it completely invisible to the Radar detector detector. it would be the best one in the world. make it happen escort

  • I like the combo but a couple problems, one of which is I already have a gps, and a good radar detector so A $600 replacement for a combo unit just doesn't seem economical. If I was a first time buyer and didn't have either then I would defiantly spring for this. Second is the whole early adopter scene. Fantastic product but I believe it's out of the price range of most consumers so it might stifle its popularity, as well as future updates and support.

  • I can see this being useful for the future.

  • best site ever great info on products

  • pretty good.

  • I can't wait for the day that the GPS screen will show u the exact location of the cop doing radar, so you know exactly where he is, what he's using just from looking at the screen.

  • very nice

  • Hmm

  • Haven't used the IQ yet, but I'm excited to see how it does.

  • Keepin our right to use the road

  • sweeeet

  • very cool for a compact unit

  • For an M4 detector, thats not too bad

  • Amazing

  • awsome

  • But is the GPS portion at least as good as the more common dedicated units?

  • @Boentgru It uses the Navteq database so yes

  • Great video!! Thanks for the info on the IQ

  • Good info!

  • Neat idea.... Too bad it is not stealth (eg like the STi). I wonder how long it will take OPP to realize it is not JUST a GPS device :)

  • the IQ looks really cool

  • radar roy is the man

  • Nice

  • wayyyy to big! but good concept!

  • god that would be the life, testing radar detectors

  • I might ge tone!

  • I want an IQ!!!

  • Ive actually wanted one of these

  • THIS is the perfect detector, especially for a car with only 1 cigarette lighter!

  • Wow I had no idea the Passport IQ has a GPS with it! That's awesome

  • Does this unit have the ability to turn the radar portion off in states that dont allow radars? In Virginia they can take your detector. That would be an expensive stop. Just wondering..

  • @ssouligne if the cop is smart enough he will take it away but most cops will just think that it is a GPS and leave you alone , even if they have the RDD STalker they will just think that your gps is mal functioning.

  • @ssouligne

yeah does RDD detect it? That would be awesome to have in VA! its like a cat and mouse game that we play. LOL

  • @adamstrader12 Yes, the Spectre will detect this :-(

  • It does NOT have Bluetooth, confirmed via online chat with "Brian" from the Escort website.

  • Looks really useful. Especially with the red light photo enforced camera locations all over Chicago and the suburbs! Plus I tend to drive a bit faster than I should.

Do you know if it has a monthly fee?

  • @jamez629 no buddy i suggest u buy the passport 9500ix , that's the one i have , u will have to pay 29$ for 3 years weekly redlight and speedcamera updates...

be careful on lakeshore drive , cops are always after belmont going south and north , and at the end of lsd north to sheridan and at the michigan exist , for 90/94 , watch for the expressway at the exit/entrance of addison north , armitage south ;) if u have a very fast car , get a laser jammer , it will give them no reading BUT....

  • @jamez629 BUT in illinois it's illegal to prevent the pigs from reading ur car's speed , so in case if u by a laser jammer and i sugget laser interceptor , once it give u laser detection , reduce the speed and turn it off and let the cop read ur speed , like this , u'll never risk anything ) good luck ,

ps : last time about 5 days ago i ran away doing 180 mph on a pinky trooper :D the state trooper pulled over only my dust.

  • @mraissam1997

    Oklahoma/California is the same too.

  • @jamez629 oh yeh for the 29$ u pay it only one time and it will give u access to the weekly database for 36 months

  • They are not on the Highways anymore but still in Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chino Valley and several other communities. They made the GPS and using Navtec

  • Roy the video is alittle outdated given the recent photo camera decision in AZ.

Who made the navigation part of it? Garmin or TomTom?

  • @robm425

    Easy to read 3D maps,

    powered by NAVTEQ, provide

    clear turn-by-turn voice guided

    instructions with lane assist
