  • I like the last boss, Manfred Trenz's design of bosses and everything (levels, all this certain design edges in the level-maps, which cause a certian feeling) has always a great mood and kind of human side in it that leads yourself to put out a smile when watching this bosses etc. . When I watch the last boss here I know what/how he was thinking of :). Manfred Trenz is kind of a genius when it comes to design games as a whole.

  • omg the music in this game was always so exciting! aw good days...

  • Super Turrican for the NES was planned for US release but ended up being only released in Europe. Releases were made in England, Spain, France, and Scandinavia.

  • @Vitani168980 Game also released in Germany and Italy too ;)

  • This port is a pretty rare and awesome sight, although if Turrican would be backported back on NES once more, it HAS to include demo-ish effects.

  • the music on stage 1-2 is just epic :)

  • Wasn't Seika supposed to release Super Turrican for NES in the USA since I remember this game had coverage in Nintendo Power back in 1993?

  • This game is damn hard and also one of my favourite NES games when i was kid. I never beat it though :/

  • 47:30

    I love the ending music...

  • Besser als die Mega Drive-Version von "Turrican 1".

  • A few days ago i thougt :"Man Turrican i remember this piece of awesomeness lets play it again .... shouldn´t be that hard i got to the last boss as a little kid ..."

What happened was a ragequit on the first level ....

  • Stage 3 music is extremely good, but make sure to run the game with Nestopia to hear it.

  • @supermariogalaxian *Sighs* Or maybe live in Europe and have the game run on the PAL setting...Sorry about that.

  • last boss must have taken FOREVER if it weren't for that little cheap standing over on his head trick.

  • Interesting. I never knew there was a Turrican game for the nintendo. Graphically looks similar to the C64 version

  • is this game hard?

    it dont seems so

  • Originally a C64 game :D

  • class playthrough!

i never realised how much the nes turrican dude looks like boba fett :D heeheehee

also, love the end boss - cumputerz ftw lmao

  • great music

  • Solid entry in the franchise. Only real complaint is that the music is poor compared to the other games (owing to the fact that Chris Hulsbeck didn't compose it for this one, Manfred Trenz did everything for this)

  • Its not bad!

  • I wonder what they could have done on the Master System.

  • @Rockerbeck The most similar thing to that is GG Turrican for the Game Gear by Martin Konrad.

  • The music always gets me.

  • Nice longplay. Also game is also quite impressive - done only by one person.

  • but now the warior needs to rest...yeah yo uthink with all that running, shooting the last boss standing on his head. Nice version.

  • yeah half the awesomeness of turrican is the music. 8 bit isnt enough to work with.

  • Impressive speed. I didn't know there was a NES version. Sadly the music is a flop in this port. :)
