Nice sound quality. That often isn't the case on youtube. Thanks for going to the extra effort to get the sound right. Best wishes from South Carolina. You are lucky to have such a congressperson. We're not so lucky. We have Jim (Waterloo) Demint and Henry (he's asleep) Brown.
Thanks. The event production crew were Hollywood pros donating their time, I believe; I just used my trusty (Anderson Cooper-style) mini-DV tape camcorder. You know, I think I'd prefer a Right-wing lawmaker who was asleep at the wheel to one who's actively trying to steer us off the cliff (of national bankruptcy, due to health care costs)! Then again, heading in the right direction -- towards affordable health care, putting patients before profits -- would be better still.
Excuse me; but I have not attacked any issue or person, as you have just done to me. To address the issue, to read what Compassion & Choices as well as the AARP says, go to capwiz [dot] com/compassionandchoices/issues/alert/?alertid=13786016. My parents and I were glad to have such counseling before they passed; they filled out Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care forms (which they'd never heard of before), so that their wishes were in writing and, thus, respected.
Speak about "Compassion and Choices" (the former hemlock Society) taking credit for authoring sec 1233 (End-of-Life Counseling). Now why would a group that promotes assisted suicide author something like this in this health care bill? The congressman out of Oregan who got assisted suicide passed there claims to have co-authored it also. Why?
Do I really have to ask why? Go ahead and avoid the issue, change the subject, attack another issue or person, or address the issue.
