Had the Taliban-run government given up the people responsible, there would not have been an invasion. Right now, we are preparing the ANA and ANP to take care of themselves. @countolaf32 the United States went in response to the September 11th attacks arguing that bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were behind the attacks and could be located in Afghanistan according to Taliban before and after 9/11 Osama bin Laden was not in the country since 2000 this is strong to dispute since the U.S. has not been able to track his actions the campaign was certainly not to free Afghanistan as the U.S. agreed that the Taliban could remain in power as long they hand over alqueda figuures
