  • For being an imported Ford van, that's pretty safe, the airbag deploys fast and early, and there wasn't too much damage to the front seat occupants. Good job Ford!

    true - it was developed in germany on the basis of the last fiesta generation. so it´s basically a pretty old design. i´d be so curious how it would perform in the current FMVSS rear crash configuration. i´d suspect the cars structure would collapse ...

  • @andreasausmuc, the Transit Connect is based on a modified Ford C170 platform used by the Mk1 Focus.

    The Mk1 Focus got 4 out of 5 stars at the EuroNCAP.
