Hyrule map in MC is way different than any of the maps in any of the FS games, no mention of Ganon. A new ultimate power that is being sought that isnt mentioned or seen in the rest of the series. So if you put that all together you can see its a possibility.
The fact that Dampe is alive dosn't matter. Like Zeldaholictimeliner said they reuse minor charecters all the time. And if Minish Cap was first in the timeline, then what your saying about the geographical features makes no sense. It would take tousands of years for the land to move around. So then Dampe would be dead regardless. Also people do know about the triforce. It's on Link's shield! it's also in Hyrule Castle Town. Also Gannons minions are in the game, so he would have to be alive.

Spirit Tracks proves that Link and Tetra did find a new land (and this video was uploaded when Spirit Tacks was out) and theres no problems with the fact that itd take a good couple of years. Lastly Dampe's existence doesn't prove anything. They reuse minor characters the whole time. Like the fact that Ingo is in oracle of seasons or Nayru is in the minish cap.
Ok according to the minish cap the kingdom of hyrule has been at peace for hundreds of years. Ocarina link was BORN when there was battles to UNITE the land into a kingdom. Now if minish cap was on the adult side where gorons were scarce and zoras evolved, it would make perfect sense there is NO mention of the triforce in a LOT of Zelda games yet just because of a DAMN HAT you think it is first LOL
That point about Dampe being alive may actually be valid. However, keep in mind, this could be a decedent of him. Link has had god knows how many decedents, and if you say that that's just because he's the main character, well, so has tingle. He's popped up in multiple games in different times.
Overall, I disagree, just because the fact that the master sword was destroyed. The four sword was created from that. The chances of having two master swords created before and after is less than .001%.

in ocarina of time it says din, nayru and farore created the triforce near the beginning of time. There's no need to mention the triforce in minish cap (which by the way, is on the front cover, and is the light force vaati tries to take away from zelda), as it's already there.
the light force is simply the triforce of wisdom

Now here's a blow against it being first: the Goron figurine says that gorons used to live in mt crenel, but their numbers are few now.
