  • This is the only football game I played and enjoyed.

  • NFL 2K the only football game I ever liked ever

  • Sega Dreamcast= smooth. Pick a game same as ps2 =lolage. Sega stomps. If DC2 were to come out? RUN

  • @nonothinghaveitall man I miss the dreamcast days. I was big on the dreamcast. Loved just about every exclusive for it. Especially Shenmue, damn that game was so revolutionary for it's time...

  • @scott71785 Me too! I can't believe I forgot about Shenmue, one of the best game I've ever played.

  • Madden NFL 2001 marks the last Madden game to use the Madden NFL '97-'98 theme, but for the player intros at the beginning of the gameplay.

  • and Madden would never b able to compete again. 11 years ago they gave up

  • why do the cleats look like diamond turfs.

  • these games were the shit back in the day! good ol nfl 2k1

  • ill be watching this kid tony gonzalez. good ol days

  • 2:08 arrow to the head NO KNEE!

  • i own both systems and i love my ps2 but the dreamcast is going to half to be the one for me

  • i would have to say 2k1....just because every time i hear john maddens voice i cringe. my mom always said he sounds like he is talking with a mouthful of spit. and gotta love it when their commentary doesnt even come close to what is happening lol. that happens on 2k1 also but still... lol 2k1 example..sack the punter and listen to the commentary...they will disagree with the bad call made by your team lol

  • i would take realistic tackles over graphics... also madden was fumble and interception happy. i have had nfl 2k1 and 2ks and wont get rid of them. have had madden 99(N64), 02,03,06,07,08(PS2) and 08(PS3)...i would still play 2k1 over all of them. also have backbreaker(PS3) and it is better than any madden except the 08 PS3 one. also had ESPN 2k5 for PS2. best football video game ever IMO.

  • i should buy madden 2001 and update it for fun

  • My god... Madden looks and sounds just as bad as I remember. 2K actually had some life into the game. I guess Peter is right, just can't coach that. Meaning you can't coach old dogs new tricks (Madden).

  • @adam99x2004

Madden 2001 was good man... Both football games were better than anything put out today...

  • Madden looks better. 2k1 players have flat chests and block faces. Its obvious the higher poly count in the EA game. Actually all EA sport games looked better than Sega 2k series.Gamespot and ign were impressed back then such as the gamers. That being said, maybe dc could handle this, but, nevermind, EA abandoned Sega.We never will know.

  • "Sega fans can be summed in one simple world:delusional.Let's look at the facts;Sega has only had one sucessfull system[genesis], it's famous character is an obvious copy of Mario, and has gone out of bussiness at least once. They were so bad at making video games that they had to quit.Despite this Sega fans still thin that this is a good company. They still think Sega is better than any other system. This obviously makes no sense, since,at time there are no Sega systems. They failed...

  • @MadMonkeythefirst ..In order to save the company from complete destruction they had to start making games for their arch-enemy Nintendo. Sega has been reduced to a mere video game production company. Still the average Sega fans worship the failed company. This is equivalent to supporting the failed the candidate, following the loser of the war, or living in the burned out house. None of this makes sense. The average Sega fan however refuses to recognize that they worship a fallen hero"

  • @MadMonkeythefirst Font:oldwizard,com

  • the guys from nfl 2k1 look like mutants

  • sometimes I wish I could go back in time and beat the shit out of myself for wanting to go back in time to beat the shit out of myself

  • I just got myself a Sega Dreamcast!! this is my first game with it

  • Sega Dreamcast is still my last system that I have purchased and my favorite as far as next generation is concernced

  • LOL! Look at Madden with it's pinball physics - 2K has always been more fundamentally sound than Madden. Shit, NFL5 is more of a football simulation as far as aspects of football, than Madden 12 - even 7yrs. later

  • @putteminthegame - *NFL 2K5 that is

  • See THIS is why competition is good for video games, Madden 2000 was pretty shitty, but NFL 2K's release lit a fire under their ass, and 2001 is leaps and bounds ahead of 2000;

  • You Know Whats Sad... I Own NFL 2K1.

But Im Not Sad About It,CAuse Its On DREAMCAST!

  • I had some cousins that bought the Sega when it first came out because it had better graphics than ps1. When it was discontinued, they never bought another video game system again.

  • pause at 4:02

    a black kicker???

  • ps2 lived longer becuz dreamcast SUCKD with graphics onestly madden was better then dream cast with every thing PS2 proved the future

  • @micahj17 That is one of the most ignorant comments I have read on youtube. Im not talking about your grammar either. Though that is pretty retarded in itself.

  • @kilrgecko Well I'm sorry I was in a hurry and yes i think Dreamcast is bad. PS2 just was better It just was

  • Ps3 has better graphics than the NES O.o

  • selena gomez is fine!! ;)

  • lol tony gonzalez is a "young man" lmfao

  • guys who cares the game is 10 years old get a job and get a 360.

  • No doubt NFL 2K1 beats Madden 2001 in NFL 2K1 u can create a team in Madden '01 u can't.

  • Madden wins (Imo)

  • Gameplay-2k1

    Graphics-Madden

    Realism-2k1

    Madden-7.5

    2k1-8.9

    2k5-10

  • i think there almost the same but i haft to give it to madden they have done a outstanding job

  • The ps2 is more powerfull but not by much.

  • 2K1 all-day they need to bring this back asap

  • dude this commentary for 2k1 is already better then any madden for ps2

  • Comment removed

  • The Dreamcast was able to deliver a nice crisp video output. But the PS2 was able to deliver a lot more graphical detail in their games

  • @StudioGuyMN

    Are you talking about textures?

  • nfl2k1 > madden 12 lol

  • they look more or less the same

  • in 2k1 u could pick plays on the vmu screen

  • Something that we can agree on... Better than Madden for wii.

  • the DC was a lot better than the ps2 tbh. everyone knows this. it was better if every single way. the only thing was is that Sega was already dying where as sony wasnt at all. its sad really =[

  • @jimmybobs87

Ha, wow, the ignorance and obnoxiousness of that first sentence. Textbook Dreamcast fanboy.

  • 6:23 dude looks like a pancake

  • raiders kills every team

  • I like the EA Verison Better.

  • 2K Wins

  • DC :O I love it. PS2 :-( WTF?

  • 2k wins

  • The ps2 is more powerful than the dc but not by much

  • @aubba You're wrong, unless you don't like real textures.

  • Where the hell is Tony Gonzalez?

  • Nice kick return in Madden

  • Maaaaaan I Wish 2k Waz Still Makin Football Games... Nobodi Wuldnt Be Fucking Wit Easports At All Den...

  • Dan Stevens and Peter Okeefe!!!!

best video game commentary duo ever!

  • go chiefs!!!

  • i played madden 04 and espn 2k5 until i got madden 10 or 11,now i can't get used to those games anymore

  • i prefer madden 2001

  • why r there pants dirty b4 the game lol

  • In your description you say nobody still cares about these games. Well, I care about these games and 2k1 is great, I played nfl 2k1 and madden 2004 off and on until Madden 09 came out.

  • @triplet1325 Well, most people don't care anymore about these two games. They've moved on to the shiny newfangled HD sports games, and the comparison between DC and PS2 is kind of moot nowadays anyway. Only the most hardcore DC fanboys really still bring it up. The DC had more video ram, and better textures, but the PS2 was by far the more powerful. I still remember the epic fanboy battles on the Gamefaqs Dreamcast boards of DC vs PS2 in graphics. FozzyFan (PS2 fan) vs Drsmoo (Dreamcast Fan)

  • @teh2Dgamer older consoles are better ps3 and 360 are a waste of money if i want good graphics i play pc games

  • @teh2Dgamer lol.. i shouldn't say this... but they were both powerful systems and the Ps2 wasn't way more powerful..had both of them

  • @MrSage360 I still have both, and yes,t he PS2 was a lot more powerful than the DC. The DC had better texturing, but the PS2 left the DC in the dust in every other category. It was pretty clear by the PS2's second generation of software that it was a lot more powerful.

  • @teh2Dgamer Dreamcast started every category, from the online to the dream eye, which the U.S.never got a chance to see, console to pc players(playing each other with quake 3) 1st system to web browse and the mem card that could be used for gaming.. it truly set the standard.. with all the pullout from developers it killed that system and it never got a chance fully shine. so in the end ps2 did its thing, but not because of its power.

  • @MrSage360 I meant it left the DC in the dust graphically. Furthermore online console gaming predates the DC. Even the Genesis and Snes had an online service. There was even a download service for the Atari if you want to be technical.

  • @teh2Dgamer I will say later on after the DC demise yes the ps2 started to do better as Titles for the PS2 did get better in the long run, with programmers exploiting more of the system's resources(ps2 being hard to developer games for and the DC being easy for devs, But at that time when looking at both side by side, there wasn't much difference. Researched XBAND and didn't know they offered online, Sega only made it better. So Cheers to ya for that one..

  • @MrSage360 From the launch offerings, the PS2 didn't look much or even at all better graphically with a few exceptions like madden which looks a lot better than 2K, but plays a lot worse, because it's madden. However the first gen is usually a throw away with the exception of a few consoles like the DC who had some of it's best looking games first gen. But by the time games like Jak, FFX, The Bouncer, GT3, MGS2, and a number of other came around it was pretty clear. The DC is Great tho

  • @MrSage360 The funny thing is that 2dGamer never said in his post that ps2 outsold dc because of the graphics. You that go all butthurt fanboy and cryed loud that dc "started every category".How so? Dc is the only lastgen console without double analog support on controller.

  • @teh2Dgamer Slow down, my friend.

Imagine if Sony had to do it all alone without the support of the great producers from 2000 to 2002

What kind of games we would have today for PS2?

Welcome to the reality of Sega and Dreamcast.

So don't talk about how the second generation of software highlights the difference between them - Dreamcast had two years to show up and not 10 as the PS2. Thanks for the post.

  • @PersonaBrazil The DC had a second generation of software. It had about 4 generations of software. The first generation is the launch and thereafter software. The second generation software is the software that comes after that. Let's look at it this way, the Gamecube had better texture abilities than the Xbox, but only an idiot would say the GC was more powerful, or had better graphics (I have, however GC heard fanboys say it). Textures are only a small part of the overall graphics presentation

  • @teh2Dgamer That's right: GC may have better textures than Xbox but that does not mean he is more powerful. To know that, just look at any game that was released for both. Obvious, right? So choose a game, any game that has been released for DC and PS2 at the time and compare them.

And once again, thanks for your posts.

  • @PersonaBrazil The "the DC ports were better" argument may have some point if even if the PS2 versions wre 100% true tot he DC version, they still would have been on the top tier of the PS2 graphics at the time, but they wouldn't have been. Sure, the ports are better on the DC, but the PS2 already had way better looking games at the time, so the port argument holds no water as far as I'm concerned.

  • @teh2Dgamer If you refer to GT3 or some other PS2 exclusive at the time just remember that nobody would dare say that Shenmue would run on the PS2. So I prefer to see things as they are: DC would run GT3? Yes. But with all those polygons? No.

Shenmue would run on PS2? Yes. But with all those textures? Of course not I like the PS2, the games are fantastic - I say this because I have one - but I can clearly see his limitations. It was funny when people finally realized that they wouldnt play CGs.

  • @PersonaBrazil technically , even the PS1 could handle a version of Doom 3, but it doesn't mean it would look even close to as good, and it isn't just the polygons that makes GT3 look better than anything on the DC. It's the lighting, the reflections, and all the other effects put into it that just rape anything on the DC visually. GT3, FFX, Jak and Daxter, MGS2, and so many more at the time. Shenmue looks great and is a great example of the DC's texturing, but it has to remove characters to run

  • Comment removed

  • @teh2Dgamer It doesn't help that no one attempted any of those visual techniques on 99% of Dreamcast games though. Who's to say the Dreamcast couldn't handle any of this? Obviously the PS2 has some notable advantages, and the only real disadvantage is the texture memory alotted- and the lack of texture compression abilities. But its hard to say anything about the DC because developers jumped ship around the time visual techniques like that started getting used.

  • @InstinctualJealousy dreamcast was supposedly only at like 65% of its potential when it was discontinued. meaning the game programming could have had better graphics and better games. supposedly the DC could have still competed with PS2, GC and Xbox. probably would not have looked as good still but could have been a lot closer than it was. also DC was first with online play.

  • @timmypstyle I'm thinking the DC would have obvious disadvantages- but for some reason, maybe just Sega fanboy bias- the textures and well, honestly, the resolution and image quality seemed better on DC (SD 480i, I'm purely talking). Some PS2 games used this weird mode that rendered around 640x224 pixels each field refresh, so if the framerate dropped, it could result in nasty field tearing. I think the DC also had some pretty strong flicker filtering, as the image never looked "unstable".

  • @InstinctualJealousy yeah the DC looks a lot smoother. the PS2 games werent bad tho. i still have NCAA 02 for PS2 and have NCAA 2k2 for DC. the DC one looks like it has half the color of the PS2 NCAA. i love the PS2 for NCAA but love the DC for NFL. or i would use madden 08 on my PS3. i still use my DC all the time. have about 10 games for it still too. never did any copies or emulators on it tho.

  • @timmypstyle Yeah for better or for worse every video game I've been getting lately is a PS2 game. I recently (yeah, laugh) got a GameCube, but I can't find crap for it I want and its overpriced too (Nintendo tax, hell yeah!). And all the multiplat games I think I want I already have on Xbox. I have a DC, tons of burnt games, quite a few legal prints, but not much I want to play. The DC suffered from too much "pick up and play" style games, I think. And crap PS ports.

  • @InstinctualJealousy what kild it was the fact that people could copy games and not have to buy them. also they didnt advertise the drteamcast hardly at all. if they would have pushed it better especilly with being online ready and being able to play cross country, they probably would have done better and been around to compete with PS2 and GC and Xbox. and IMO, the DC looks way better than the gamecube and Wii . PS2 and xbox are better grapgics tho.

  • @PersonaBrazil I think GT3 could be made to run on Dreamcast with some polygon drops on cars and by a team that cares. (Hypothetical) The stages? They don't seem too intensive honestly. The texturing could only get better- Grand Valley has some of the worst road texturing I've ever seen. Seamy, low res blobbing. Still, I believe the GT3 cars are only around 4000 polygons each. They look like more than they are because Polyphony are godly artists.

  • @InstinctualJealousy Yea the cars in gt3 use 5000 poly's and yea the road textures look blury but i doubt the Dc could run it better.Everyone seems to forget it has 26megs of total ram that's 24megs is for graphics while Ps2 had 36megs of ram for graphics 32mb of ram,4mb Vram on top of that it had on hell of a fast pipeline.I think if Dc would had launched with a dvd drive built in it would had sold alot better then it did.

  • @teh2Dgamer -If PS2 is more powerfull than DC, then of course it should be able to do just as good versions of the Dreamcast games, if not even better for PS2. -But it cant! Some Dreamcast games like Sonic Adventure 2 would be pretty impossible to even run on PS2 without cutting heavily on visuals, thats the way it is. Sure, there are people who give high praise to many PS2 graphics, but those are not willing to admid looking texture -free games like Sly, or MGS2. -Some look even black & grey...

  • @M1XART Yeah, even the first Sonic can't run on PS2...well, technically can but then you'll have a lot of cryin PS2 fanboys "Oh, another shitty port". Plus, Dreamcast games ported to Xbox and GC looks the same, if not even better. That has to mean something...

How good PS2 exclusives would run on other consoles?

With the money and effort that some devs put on PS2 exclusives they would have made a Crysis port for Xbox.

More polygons or sharper textures? Wich is more pleasant to the eyes?

  • @PersonaBrazil PS2 works a bit differently, but Cube and XBOX can draw just as much if not more with better textures than PS2, so PS2 does not have advantage over those consoles. However, PS2 can draw slighly more simultaneous moving things than DC, but with less visual polish and detail.

-It is all about balance. If game is flexible enough to work with all aspects including solid framerate, then it is pleasure to look & play...

  • @M1XART The debate over which has better graphics is all opinion, however, the PS2 was more powerful than the DC, but it had the vram bottleneck. As far as the cube are concerned, The Xbox was in a class of it's own, but if you compare the best looking cube games to the best looking PS2 games, there's not a huge difference, and it again comes to opinion of which has better graphics. For example, SoTC, vs LOZTP. SoTC uses a washed out pallet, but it adds to the artistic effect. It'd be opinion

  • @M1XART The PS2's architecture was a different best from the DC's, however, the ports don't matter, because even if they were 100 percent perfect on the PS2 they still wouldn't have been top tier graphics for the PS2 at the time. Madden alone in the first gen blew the DC's capabilities out of the water, but by the second gen of the PS2, we say things like Gran Turismo 3 which murdered anything possible on the DC including Le Mans. The DC had textures, the PS2 was better at everything else.

  • @teh2Dgamer What about color palette? I think DC was wastly superior to PS2 when it comes to vibrant colors. It was up there with Cube. It must have used even 24 bit or 32 bit color, when PS2 was using less color than N64. Well, everybody has their own mind and likes, but i think that with PS2, Sony had machine that virtually had no graphics card. -Good, very powerfull machine, but no solid 3D accelration. That is very good console for Simpsons and South Park and other cartoons...

  • @teh2Dgamer -Yes, textures aren`t everything, but i would say NGC and XBOX had equal textures (sharper on Cube, but more detail on XBOX). As for DC vs. PS2, we all know PS2 can draw more. -But who cares if it looks ugly. And DC can draw enough anyway with beautifull textures. Daytona USA 2001 is good example (textures, no pop -up, 60 fps, 40 cars on screen at once...). And even best PS2 -games just aren`t colourfull. Add this to slow loading and difficult to program, and DC was better after all.

  • @M1XART The GC and the Xbox may have had equal flat textures (as in no bump mapped), but the GC wasn't even close to the Xbox when it came to other texture effects. The Xbox just murdered everything last gen when it came to graphics. The final gen games like Doom 3, riddick, farcry, HL2, and more looked like early gen 360 games. The GC wasn't even in the running. In fact the GC was closer to the PS2 and DC than it was the Xbox.

  • @teh2Dgamer -I disagree. While owning most games on those consoles i do think that GC was very close to XBOX. Games like Starfox Adventures look as good as even Conker on XBOX. Star Wars Rebel Strike look better than nearly all XBOX games. Same can be said for Eternall Darkness and Metroid -games. However, i do admid that XBOX has some better looking games than Cube -games. -These include Halo 2 and Rallisport 2. Cube was able to do Bump Mapping but not as well as XBOX that was more powerfull...

  • @PersonaBrazil Its 1rstgen, buddy. EA sport games always have the next year in the name. We are at 2011 so this year edition will be madden 2012. Madden 01 was launched at 2000. Your argument is wrong and/or need revision.

  • @MadMonkeythefirst Err...what are we talking about again? o.O

  • its very clear that dreamcast is better

  • 2k2 was the best football game. 2k1 was ok but 2k2 is when it got really good.

  • How cheap EA, Konami, EIDOS and those companies that tuned thier backs to the Dreamcast sold their souls to SONY...

  • @Payasoplas Hoe did Eidos turn their backs on the DC? They gave it Soul Reaver, Tomb Raider Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles, Fighting Force 2, and a number of their other big franchises. Just because they didn't give it Soul Reaver 2 doesn't mean the turned their back on the DC, it just wouldn't have been a good business decision for them at the time. Eidos also localized some great games to the US and Europe like Sword of the berserk.

  • @teh2Dgamer Eidos DID turn its back to the DC, they canned major titles like Soul Rever 2, Project Eden and Commandos 2, that were also released on real 128 bit consoles, i wouldn't say Tomb Raider games were a good support from them to the DC since the only thing they did was porting the games from the PS adding some polygons and higher res textures, same happened with games like Chicken Run or Urban Chaos.

  • @Payasoplas By the time any of those games would have hit, the DC would have too small a market for them to make any sort of profit on it. It's the same reason that Valve canned a finished version of Half-Life. It's business, and business wouldn't have been worthwhile on a system that had been discontinued. As for whether the TR ports are great or not, Tomb Raider was still their flagship franchise, so that is indeed big support for the DC. You can't blame them for the other stuff though.

  • @Payasoplas

The same way Square-Enix and Namco-Bandai have shafted the PS3 right?

Infact, consider this, how do you think the Oddworld fans felt when they heard Munch's Oddysee became an Xbox exclusive? Especially those who bought a PS2 assuming it was going to be a PS2 exclusive?

  • @strykah92 You're right but by the time SONY launched the PS2, it had many exclusives, and the DC had a lot of cancelled games instead, those companies sold their souls very cheap...

  • @Payasoplas

That doesn't necessarily mean they "sold their souls". Many developers dropped their exclusive support towards the NES when the Sega Genesis was released. And besides, EA was pissed at Sega for suddenly killing the Saturn right after many of their Saturn versions of sports games due for release in 1998 had just finished development. They were still supporting the N64 though.

  • Still have my dreamcast with 2k2. Good old days.

  • 07:12

"I swear if you don't throw to (A) and get the touchdown I swear to go... "

  • sexy wen tht kicker bent over and 2k ftw!!!

  • It was so hard to tackle in Madden..you would press X and your guy would just face plant into the ground, letting the runner go right past.and even when you did "tackle" the guy, no one would ever wrap, the other guy would just get knocked down..In 2k1 defense was awesome, you could dive at anyone

  • Comment removed

  • Holy crap... Is that Pat Summerall as the 2nd announcer in 2K1?!!?!!!? I miss that voice...

  • DREAMCAST ALL THE WAY!

  • The Madden series peaked at Madden 2004. It started going down hill from there.

  • The 2K series started taking off with 2K2.. Best football series ever. 2K and 2K1 were good too.

  • I haven't played a madden on the present gen of systems that didn't suck.

  • I remember how at that time I thought that 2K1's character models looked more realistic, and animations were more fluid. But how Madden's character model's just looked stumpy, and their animations at times were distracting. I had also preferred 2K1's playcalling (both onscreen and VMU), and overall presentation, much more than Madden's fare.

  • better commander/gameplay/graphics i think 2k1 stole this victory but the menu was a factory in 2k1 madden menu was execellent but as gameplay 2k1 commander its about the same.madden hade good sound 2 so i say its about a 2 out 2 tie

  • I thought the gameplay on nfl 2k1 was far superior to that of madden. Also the commentators were better . nfl 2k1 seems more smooth and realistic than madden

  • I thought the gameplay on nfl 2k1 was far superior to that of madden. Also the commentators were better . nfl 2k1 seemes more smooth and realistic than madden

  • I thought the gameplay on nfl 2k1 was far superior to that of madden. Also the commentators were better .

  • NFL 2k1 was my shit!

  • wow thse both look better than madden 11 for the wii

  • I think we know which one is better. Also what's the song in the intro?

  • @DraculaXHunter101 The song is just something I whipped up quickly in Magix music maker on the PS2.

  • @teh2Dgamer Ok but it sounds nice though.

  • the good old days

  • u suck at this gam3

  • @meganfoxRULEZ1 You suck at life, and Mega Fox is an ugly skank.

  • @teh2Dgamer ur mother

  • 2k1 is way better madden players looked hella bulky and the way they run was weird 2k1 animations were better

  • @JLB5505 Doesn't change the fact that the polygon count looks halved on the DC, although I had a blast with both games....wish someone would pick up the old VC team once the exclusivity deal runs out...either that or Sony picks them up a la The Show.

  • like on madden 11 its so easy to throw picks and get fumbles, and some times it happens way too much, but madden 2001 and nfl 2k1 would actually play a whole game maybe 2 interceptions in 1 game, instead of 8 or 9 interceptions on madden 11.

  • @613Joker420 No kidding...me and my room mate have played Madden religiously for the last 6 years or so, and took back 11 after a week. That game is just straight up broken.

  • my favorite runningback on the cover of madden 2001 Eddie, and my favorite reciever on the 2k1 cover Randy Moss, these were good old games, and the graphics were actuallty really good for the year, madden 2001 and nfl 2k1 where the first games that started making nice graphics for football games. yes the graphics for madden 11 are great, but they dont have that gameplay style, not like these older games had

  • Geez, NFL 2k kick madden's ass

  • they didn't have enough tackle animations in madden 2001

  • maden 2001

  • 2k was better then too

  • Dreamcast win!!! Ps2 i crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the old madden music

  • Madden 01 on the PS2 sucks, i don't know why people like it so much, plays pretty shitty, graphics suck, yes i know it is 1st gen PS2 game, but EA claimed it was infinitetime superior to DC and the players look deformed deseased, with their ugly look and their deformed bodies.

  • you know what madden failed on for madden 2001?? NO ONLINE GAMING

  • @OneLoveOneHeart91408 Well, duh, the PS2 didn't get the network adapter until 2002.

  • @teh2Dgamer i knw. but it says madden 2001 vs 2kfnl. so they won that. but madden 2002 and nfl2k2 was even match up.

  • @OneLoveOneHeart91408 I don't think madden had online until 2003, but then again neither would the PS2 version of 2K2. Cuz Madden 2002 was released in 2001.

  • @OneLoveOneHeart91408 i dont think at that time online gameing on video game consoles was a big thing snice dreamcast was the only console to have online on less you had an xbox in late nov of 2001 as much as i hate EA must say i miss madden anocing love his babb-aling im a bad speller sorry

  • @steveandbobsho You do realize that the PS2 had online before the Xbox did don't you? In fact EA had a special agreement with Sony for years to keep their sports games online specifically on the PS2 only.

  • @steveandbobsho Actually they did have an agreement, and Madden didn't get online play on the Xbox for a few years for any EA game.

  • @steveandbobsho Never mind I misread your post Sorry.

  • 01 was fun

  • LOL... Madden was always the best for his needless no-brainer commentary. "He can't catch it if you knock it down".

  • well 2k1 has better graphics den madden switch it up and ps2 would be better

  • I thought the ps2 graphics were better, but i like the dreamcast better as a game console
