  • I need to get me a smart phone. If they have more apps like this, than it is definitely worth it. TY for the videos and playlists guys. Make my day less boring in my brain dead, non science mongrel's.

  • so, does this mean Nasa can't track asteroids anymore but need people help? this is 2012 now and i can feel something very fishy here.

  • @slave880 They're talking about meteors, not asteroids!!!!

  • @GaliLeo44444 smart-ass, please. Meteoroids is a word meaning of both asteroid and meteor. they are all space rock whether it is big or small

  • @slave880 No, meteorites and asteroids are not the same. The former are only small stones that come of comets or asteroids same, upon entering the atmosphere totally disintegrate, it is very difficult to come in contact with ground. Asteroids have a body more big, and these if I hope that NASA has controlled!!!!

  • Please Android version. :-)

  • but i wont be giving you my gps location nasa...

  • droid! im sure it isn't hard to port it to android please

  • how do i get it for my droid phone?

  • would a boost mobile samsung phone work?

  • I counted 4 meteors over the period of a bit over an hour last night where I live downunder. one was really long and 3 were heading south. I don't get the voice recorder function? does it record continuously? once activated. or can you add a comment for each individual sighting and then stop recording? like heading, apparent length or duration etc.

  • Excellent App! Of course they can't roll out the be-all, end-all app for all platforms and personalities on the first go-around but this is a great start! Now people with an I-Phone who are interested can participate in legitimate scientific research. I've always wondered when I saw a meteor/shooting star if I was the only one to witness it. Now I can share it with scientists who are truly interested in the sighting data and make a permanent record of the brief event. Thank you NASA!
