What firmware are you running on the first generation iPhone to get this to work? I have tried the TomTom kit with an iPhone first generation and firmware 3.0.1 but it does not work. The free car kit app works fine, but any GPS application (like Navigon e.g.) does not get a GPS signal. Is it necessary to upgrade to firmware 3.1.2?

The same firmware as you!

I´ve tried with 6 different navigationapp.s and they all work on my silverback and get the GPS-signal from the TT Car Kit.

They dont work because the gps chip isn't strog enough.

His work because he has the car kit wich has a gps chip in it.

I´d love to - but don`t have the iPod Touch - sorry.. Think its to small to fasten in the cradle through.
