  • I remember watching this with my two older sisters

  • DO YOU HAVE THIS AS FULL VERSION ON VHS OR DVD PLEASE? PLEASE GET IN TOUCH !!

  • i miss trev n simon :(

  • What used to bug me as a kid (and I've just discovered still does) was the scale of the ball thing bouncing about in the opening sequence... Its clearly much larger before it starts going around the circular bit in TV centre. Sorry :)

  • Oh my goodness look at John's hair... xD

  • Why doesn't this stuff pop up in it's entirety on torrent sites? It's great this is here but I want to see the whole thing!

  • Saturday mornings have never been the same since things like this left the air. I am 23 and loved watching this, one reason I got up early on Saturday mornings. Loved the intro. Remember the rugrats were shown on this and Sage and Onion those two Irish Leprechauns were on it too. BBC has gone way down hill with children's TV since the turn of the 21st century. Kids today don't know what they are missing.

  • trevor and simon....swing your pants....lol loved them

  • WAS THAT GARY GLITTER AT 2:06?!?!

  • spannering the headlight casing will not help the car run properly!

  • Maybe they should bring this back, this used to be my favourite show as a child

  • @r4h4al Think some of us should petition the BBC for a new nostalga channel and bring back this and all other old favourites...Poddington Peas, Bananaman etc....Show kids today what REAL childrens tv should be like

  • Not a whole lot on for kids on saturday mournings these days...aside from Wolverine and the X-Men and a couple of human interest shows. No big magazine format show like Live'N'Kicking to sandwich them all into though, a shame. CBBC should quit being so lazy

  • they should bring back live and kicking every saturday i would get up for when it started. i really miss the 90s

  • Ahhhh - thundering down the stairs, wrapped in a duvet, getting a massive bowl of START cereal and sinking into the chair to watch The Raccoons and Live & Kicking. Someone invent a time machine, I want to go back!

  • @shannairl ive invented a time machine the problem is u have to suck me off to create enough power to run it as it runs on orgasms

  • @EatMyWetJuicyTurd I wouldn't hold your breath to get that off the ground anytime soon mate

  • Holy moly, John Barrowman!!! :-)

  • i remember used to wake up on a saturday morning, raccoons, sweet valley high and live and kicking, which then turned in to dig it ( i think that was the title) fearne cotton was in it, followed by sm:tv and cd:uk :( kids have nothing today, unless you have sky or cable and even then its rubbish

  • haha brings back loads of memories. 9 years old, no school, no worries!

  • Run with us, we've got everything you need! It's "1994," I wish it fucking was! :-(

  • of all the people to 'impersonate' - Gary Glitter - on a kids TV show - who knew!

  • Loved watching this as a kid i was about 7/8. When you woke up on the mornings and they wasnt school. Used to love the presenters, 90's was the best decade for kids, all those kids shows it was kinda amazing really. Now theys absolute shit all really.

  • Thank god I was born in the 90's!

  • how the hell did you upload this 480p?

  • Ohhhh my god I was exposed to John Barrowman as a child and didn't even know!!!

  • Jesus! Barrowman must have a portrait in his attic!

  • One thing I'm not sure about is during the Trevor and Simon bit is if the lorry in the background flashing his lights and beeping his horn is actually part of the skit, or someone they were holding up! The reaction of Trev & Simon and the presenters makes me think it's the latter!

  • I cried when the cancelled this show :(

  • JOHN BARROWMAN?!? must have blocked him out of my memories of live and kicking lol

  • 081 811 8181! 081 811 8181!

  • It's Barrowman's hair that gets me every time :)

  • OMG My childhood just came rushing back to me watching that, Brilliant!

  • I miss Live and Kicking it dominated Saturday mornings

  • miss the good old days!thanks for posting so many memories :-)

  • i see john barrowman's still as smug and annoying back then and as he is now....

  • holy fuck that's John Barrowman???? this was the year i was born?

he's come a long way from presenting Live and Kicking to fighting aliens as Captian Jack with Torchwood lol

  • 0181 811 8181 ..... never forgot how the theme to that phone no. went!

  • The Racoon's!!!!!!

  • CBBC is in need of a serious revamp, and bring back some of it's past to go forward again. Like previous posts have mentioned, Saturday morning tv for children nowadays is terrible. What it needs is a live tv show like (Live&Kicking/ Saturday Show) from 9am-11:30am with music performances/ studio games and a large live audience. Before 9am, good classic cartoons like the racoons, tom & jerry would be great.

  • This show was great, I m not sure why there are so many gay people as presenters. Jesus is Lord!

  • The memories come flooding back!!

  • kids tv is bollocks now. The last good kids tv show was dick and dom, tmi is a load of shit

  • why the fuck aint this kind of thing on tv anymore!!!

  • OMG! It's Barrowman! I'd completely forgotten he was on it! Why don't we give in to the inevitable and give him his own 24 hr TV Channel?

  • Going Live kicked this p.o.s.'s ass

  • This is what Saturday Mornings were about

  • Ahhh the Memoriess Gud Times Gud Times

  • This show was immense back when I was a kid. Kids telly is complete and utter wank nowadays I feel sorry for them.

  • Man, the racoons before!! If only I could invent a time machine

  • @VickStar25 just thought exactly the same thing mate miss this so much

  • haha trevor and simon! i forgot em!

  • Damn you for still getting Stereo output :P

  • What do kids watch today? I've just looked at the schedules and at 11am Sat morning there's some cookery programme with James Martin - wow cookery, just what every nine-year-old wants to watch.

What the fuck has happened to the BBC, they're supposed to be a public service broadcaster?!

    I miss the 90s

  • The Winter equivalent of Live and Kicking is TMi but these Saturday Morning shows are now on BBC2 and TMi is only on for 12 weeks tops where as the days of Live and Kicking was on for about 30 weeks.

  • I miss em too, ITV hasn't really done anything for kids saturday morning tv since ministry of mayhem finished. And BBC just don't sem to really care anymore (Dick n Dom axed and replaced by the fail that was TMI which is now dead i belive)

Ant and Dec shouldn't have left SM:TV live

  • ITV have completely closed their in-house children's department - it's disgraceful.

  • the kids these days haven't got half the good stuff us 90s kids had.

  • @morgman43 Well, seeing as CBBC has always ended at 11am on a Saturday morning, there's no need to get in a huff. TMi has been the current Saturday morning show (and it is hilarious, honestly) since 2006 and usually runs from September - January, although it is moving to Fridays this year so there may well be a new Saturday morning show.

  • @thepod96 I have watched TMI and I do think it's reasonably funny, and I love Sam and Mark. However it's a small, tight studio with no audience, and is a different kind of show to a typical saturday morning show such as l&k / SMTV Live/ Saturday Show/ Ministry of Mayhem. This is the kind of show cbbc need to reintroduce, with a large studio, big audience, music performances and fun games.

  • @thepod96 Live and Kicking used to run to about midday...

  • @morgman43

There is fuck all on any programmes on Saturday mornings anymore.

  • @morgman43 Children's prgrammes for the morning are now on BBC-2, to make it uniform with the rest of the week.

  • @morgman43 me 2

  • @morgman43 Fair Point, but it may have escaped your notice that the kids have their own whole channel (or two, or three) these days, CBeebies etc...

  • @pgl0897 Some cannot receive digital TV yet. Also the quality of dedicated channels is rarely that of specialist programming on 'the main channels'...

  • @morgman43 Everyone can receive BBC2 just as they can receive BBC1. And most people now have digital anyway and analogue is going, so everyone will have access to the channels where the BBC's children's offerings are located.

They are serving the public. unfortunately, they do get criticised because everyone has different opinions and wants different things from them. they try their best to do this almost impossible task. There was a majority of people who wanted cookery programmes on BBC1.

  • @morgman43 Have to say if they put cookery shows on at that time when Live & Kicking was meant to be on my parents would know about it all weekend! I sometimes feel for kids these days!

  • Dang, this was right before Spider-Man was due to start airing, and just before Barrowman moved on to pastures...erm...obscure, 'till a welshman gave him the iconic role of Captain Jack Harkness

  • I feel old !

  • Run with us!

    Grrr I hated Racoons.

  • saturday mornings loved it

  • OMG, I forgot about that intro! It looks so tacky now, but I loved that show!

And John Barrowman's so young! And what's with Philippa's hair! Crikey!

  • trev n simon: swing your pants,lol

  • john barrowman, aka captain jack harkness from doctor who...

  • yer 'Racoons' I'd forgotten about that, god I miss live and kicking! I used to watch it religiously, I never missed the new adventures of superman and them 2 little Leprachaun puppets that introduced it! Funny thing is I can sort of remember most of the presenters even Philip Schofield but I can't remember John Barrowman, I mean I can't ever remember there ever being an American presenter, that's terrible you'd think he'd be difficult to forget!lol!

  • RACOOOOOONS!!

  • Pah, you know nothing...

  • lol it was though

  • The Raccoons and it's evident rip-off (not spin-off) The Bluffers were both great!!!

  • Lol 11 days latter my little brother was born-I remmber watching this as a child-thanks for posting!!!

  • 'A Little Bit of Bitty' LMAO xD

  • can you post the leakest sink segments.
