  • Feliz Cumpleaños, Jon. Te amamos.

  • nice to find these vdos after so many years!! *^_^*

  • This is soo great!

  • Great voice!

  • Does anyone know the name of the background instrument that comes in at 0:14?

  • @MadCuzBreh An electric violin

  • I love KoRn and Jonathan Davis. It´s like he sings what´s in my soul.

  • I absolutely love JD in this performance...

  • He rox, amazing voice & person.

  • Always wonderful hearing the original/creator singing it the best way because they feel the words more. amazing.

  • I think I like David Dramiain singing it more than I like Seth Rogen.

  • the violist is pro...

  • love this song, and black sabbath are heavy metal ffs they invented it pretty much everyone knows that (response to comment i saw)

  • @richardsdead The song "Helter Skelter" by The Beatles is the oldest metal song i know of and Sabbath was influenced by The Beatles. Sabbath also played the blues.

  • He is god and I would so marry him in a second

  • Why can't Korn's newest albums sound more like this? This is more back to the roots than freakin dubstep with Skrillex.. Although Get Up is pretty awesome anyway, but that's just because it's JD singing.

  • BEST VERSION OF THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • john should sing SIC with slipknot someday. it will sound satanic with his new screaming.

  • JD is a god

  • The way he changes his voice while singing is amazing!

  • His voice makes my hairs stand up... and no gay auto-tune

  • Incredible.

  • his fuckin voice is amazing, its kinda sad the shit he's doin these days ever since coming undone he's been doin that gay type singing...his heavy vioce is where the talent is i miss the old korn

  • I ♥ KoRn!

  • I remeber all O.S.T.

  • Sexy Ass Voice!

  • Why are people arguing about Korn on here? This is Jonathan Davis' side project, not Korn.

  • KoRn is Corn

  • God sings with your voice jonathan..respect!!

  • 6 people are Blind and mute about the great métal :D

  • it's definitely better than the version for the queen of the damned, how can a man become better than himself? thats the true success.

  • @VitalityGard i think they had to have someone else actually sing the movie version..jonathan wrote it and sings it better than anyone else..in my humble opinion :) just i am pretty sure he did not sing it for the soundtrack

  • how does jon fit all those dreads in the little bun!?

  • >;) my influence in music...

  • this song is just amazing... i listening black and death metal but korn and jonathan is my fucking life love this amazing artists....

  • Anyone know the number of the singer who gave him lessons as a kid? Maybe he didn't have any lessons, and maybe that's why no one can sing like he can.

  • KoRn is KoRn, and what is KoRn? ITS KORN!!!!!!!!!

  • Why do I feel like a vampire is singing to me? I feel almost hypnotic listening to him. It's crazy.

  • While there's a metal element to their music, they're not a metal band by definition. And if you think Korn sounds like Black Sabbath, you should really not be telling me about metal. Have a look at the videos on my page of me singing in one of my two definitively METAL bands, and tell me I don't know what metal is! hahahahaha.

  • @richardsdead yea but they are damn nu-metal by definition which is still metal^^ and please dont compare black sabbath which is heavy metal... Nu metal is a music genre developed in the early 90 th century. The term was coined by Jonathan "HIV" Davis to determine what kind of music played the band Korn. Currently, many teams are wrongly qualified for Nu Metal genre. This species is derived from such styles as grunge, alternative metal, funk, thrash metal, groove metal and industrial metal.Enjoy

  • @richardsdead dude black sabbath is not metal.hahaha there classic rock. iced earth is metal and korn is rap rock well thats what he said in a interview in like 98

  • @TheLilpuga Are you simple? Black Sabbath is metal. Metal is a subgenre of rock, and Sabbath is a classic group. They are both classic rock and metal.

    Don't be obtuse.

  • @TheLilpuga Your dead wrong he worked with rap rock track in 98 but their a "Nu-Metal" band, nu-metal was invented in 1991 by korn its self and first released in 1993. the music world has never been the same!

  • nice

  • I love Korn, but I find it hard to consider them metal.

  • Gotta love that fuckin' violin

  • was this originally a duet between jonathan and david from disturbed?

  • @1malakian

Not a duet. Jonathan Davis wrote and recorded a bunch of original songs for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, but due to contract bindings, he was unable to release his version via the movie's soundtrack. That being said, he had some of his rock star buddies come in and do vocals. David Draiman did this one.

  • @BrainiacOfColu oh ok, thanks

  • How can you say that you take a break from metal and listen to Korn? Thats just dumb! Metal wouldn't be what it is today without Korn, They brought metal to a whole new level. Of course you will understand this better when your nuts fully drop!

  • @covalt06

well many people would argue KoЯn isnt true metal. Hell, even Head said they dont play metal, he says it in this 97 interview youtube.com/watch?v=W_PEO1Sz8So

  • How can you say that you take a break from metal and listen to Korn? Thats just dumb! Metal wouldn't be what it is today without Korn, They brought metal to a whole new level. Of course you will understand this better when your nuts fully drop!

  • I just love this man's songs.

  • i love the violin

  • His voice is so unique; he was the perfect canididate for queen of the damned. I can't think of anyone close to his voice and style of music.

  • lol i used to listen to this soooo much when i was 13, still love it at 22

  • @lunaticrose13 i'm exactly the same, i was 14 when queen of the damned came out, i'm now 23, still obsessed with the songs!

  • @han1988missy best soundtrack ever!!!! in my humble opinion..lol

  • @han1988missy that is because you have great taste in music my dear ;)

  • Jonathan Davis is a musical GOD

  • awesome

  • The song is a little Fast. Jon Davis' voice still sounds SICK

  • 6 people should die an agonizingly painful death

  • i hate hows this is sped up.. =( Still AWESOME THOUGH!!!!

  • Damn this song is all i have been trough the past!

    Keep fighting thats the message!

  • ich finde die sind die beste live band die es gibt!

  • this drummer sucks...kills the groove...kills the misticity of the song

  • This is monumental!

  • this song is addicting

  • Jonathan Houseman Davis Voice does things to my clit no man could ever do! <3

  • @ManderRanderRin

    Is that a fact?

He does have a sexy voice(coming from a straight guy)

  • @ManderRanderRin :) hmmm if i were ur lover, i would bring jon in the room, let him singing then i do the rest lol...his voice is amazing and i love this version

  • I have to revisit these sessions every few months, to remind myself there are still talented musicians around, that the industry hasn't destroyed yet

  • My last will is to JD sang this song at my funeral

  • @dziqson83 that will be a kick ass funeral

  • I think he should have wrote more songs with this style. Don't get me wrong all their songs are fucking awesome.

  • Does somebody knows whats for Projekt Is that ? Loutet original ... Have liked this ...

  • Violin Maestro......L.Shankar....GOD of metal JD......Combination is rocking...

  • People say "epic" all the time these days, but seriously, this song is EPIC in every sense of the word!

  • The Queen of the Damned songs are the best songs Jonathan ever wrote. I do prefer the original versions of the songs (that have jon's voice) because they're a bit more raw. The QOTD soundtracks is one of the inspirations for my band's (Lost Lament) sound. Check out this youtube video: qfUvx3hi0Q -- it's got a high KoRn-factor in the second chorus.

  • You gotta be fucking kidding me. How come John didn't put his voice on the original soundtrack? Sounds a lot better

  • @TheRag3BlackAndRed There were some legal reasons why he couldn't, so they had to hire other musicians.

  • this is amazing

  • Jonathan is amazing ! I love his voice !!!

  • the violin takes this song to another level. not to mention jonathans' voice..fkng brilliant.

  • the bagpipes take this song to another level.not to mention jonathans' voice.fkng awsome.

  • Nice shirt JD

  • @lukaruk you propably won't even be able to affrod a shirt like this.

  • i love JD's voice, every song he sings hits me in the heart, and he even made de cover Creep sound better then the original

  • I love this shit!!! JD puttin' in work!!

  • hermosa

  • Jon is an extremely talented person, and I love how his voice naturally goes well with the songs he sings. Plus, I love the whole scratchy sound :D

  • Amazing ending.

  • I realy like how you sing amd it's preety good interpretation:)

  • this band sucks lol

jonathon was doing all the work lol

this guys play all soft and have no feeling smh

it pisses me off that he's screaming his lungs out but the drummer is doin the bare minimum

    BEAT THOSE FUCKING DRUMS >:O

  • @XHelsinkiXsixsixsixX Disagree! This band is so talented, and the drummer is a shredder! I think the levels are perfect for this!

  • @XHelsinkiXsixsixsixX dude if he's doing all the work, then why isn't he playing the drums, piano, and all the other instruments too...and he isn't screaming his lungs out, thats his regular singing voice just like in every other song...just like SigiKlar said, the band is pretty talented.

  • Amazing song

  • haha, from a distance, it looks like Claud Sanchez is playing the acoustic XD

  • Its not fair for one man to have so much talent...

  • been listening to korn since i was a baby \m/ Im 15 And still Loving KoRn, when im bored and when i take a break from metal, I turn on a song from Korn and Rock out harder than ever

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER me too man, thats kinda exactly me.

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER

ouuuuuuu, I'm 25 (;/), and I'm very, very happy when young people like You write something like this :) but I'm very from it proud, that i remember (I listened this knowledge) for me best years for Korn (issues for me is the end this age)...ps, sorry for my english, but it isn't my national language)

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER Korn IS metal.

  • @SlaughterMeister No they aren't, at all, ask ANY metal fan.

  • @richardsdead I'm asking myself right now, and they are metal. They invented a new sub-genre called nu-metal by combining elements of metal with alternative rock/grunge, and hip-hop and other groove-based genres. They are primarily metal, though.

Just because they aren't death or thrash doesn't mean they aren't metal. At times, during the slow parts, they sound very similar to Black Sabbath.

I don't think you understand what metal is.

  • @SlaughterMeister KoRn ISNT metal. When KoRn came out they didnt sound like ANY metal band. KoRn is the stile of music they play :)

  • @mback74 You spelled "style" wrong.

Your argument can be compared to the statement "The Beatles isn't rock n roll because when they started out they had an original sound", which as absolutely ridiculous statement. Korn is an original, self-created sub-genre of heavy metal. Korn is metal.

  • @SlaughterMeister thnks 4 the type-o...

  • @SlaughterMeister Well, it was labeled nu-metal yes, but even Jonathan said Korn was more like a hard rock band...

  • @UnholyCrabmeat When they were popular they were very quick to call themselves metal, and had no problem with the term "nu-metal". When nu-metal became passe, and people started ridiculing the sub-genre, they began trying to distance themselves from the label.

  • Comment removed

  • @SlaughterMeister Minus the excessive high end screeching sure.

  • @mrmatthewsmith I think you need to explore the genre a little more.

  • @SlaughterMeister Korn is ART!

  • @DarkZzZor What's your point?

  • @SlaughterMeister :) i just try to say: jonathan and his band is one of the best bands in music history :)

  • @DarkZzZor I agree.

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER Damn its badass that young kids are keepin KoRn alive haha im 18 and id kick tha shit outta someone who says KoRn sux haha my son like this band its amazing!

  • @Death2Agony Yes it is bad-ass that kids keep Korn alive. I'm 49 n I've been a fan since @90-91. I meet JD n Head in mem. Tn. in a record store n I've listened every since then

  • @lukaruk dude ur really lucky

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER Yea man i do the same, korn is just something i dont get tired of.

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER ooh dear, same here, just that I'm 19 now.. Korn and SOAD have been my first music, and they still are.. I just love Korn, Johnatan is an amazing artist

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER this isnt korn... this is JD

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER Same here! \m/

  • @MISSMAYISK8TER korn is metal are u stupid?

  • Ive heard this a thousand times n it still rocks. 49 yrs old n luv'n korn always.

  • i wish jd would not have given this to disturbed....his version is so much better.

  • @nj239

    totally agree -.-

  • @nj239 He didn't "give" it to Disturbed. Because of legal issues with the soundtrack of QotD, different singers were hired to sing Jon's songs for the official soundtrack release. David Draiman was the one hired for Forsaken.

  • @nj239 he didn't give this to disturbed, David from disturbed simply lent his vocals for the soundtrack version

  • @nj239 they are jon's songs. he sings on all of the lestat songs with the other vocalists. thats why it doesn't sound weird without dave. listen to the soundtrack originals, you can hear jon clearly on every song. they just did a really good job mixing them.

  • Jonathan Davis, at his best...!!! Period.

  • anyone have a .rar with sirius' session to download?

  • @kaorumy i want one as well... i found a torrent of it but it wouldn't download....it saddened me.

  • show de bola

  • His drink spilled out of his mouth at the end lol

  • @rockstarhinata what are you talking about?

  • @IMV218 At the end if you watch jonathin he laughed at the end at his drink spiled out of his mouth a little

  • @rockstarhinata you should watch again :)

  • @rockstarhinata lol no he gave a thumbs up to the camera.

  • Undoubtedly,Jon is a genius!

  • I'm just in love with this song... Awesome performance although I like Draimans version better... Davis version is more.... SICK!

  • draiman sucks in comparison to this. and disturbed will never be what korn is.

  • i like both equally , disturbed / korn are the only 2 bands that can pull this song off

  • Jon just goes to show draiman should stay with disurbed. this is far superior. i dig the version from the movie with Jon alot more but this is the shit as well ..

  • q me gusta esta cancion :P

  • Yeah, Draiman`s vocal is better, maybe best ever, but this version is good. And then, i must agree, that Draiman sing completely similar to Davis STYLE ... ^^ lol

  • yea draimans vocals are better then this song sorry guys still love jd's verison tho :P

  • jon at his best

  • Doe's he Sing in QUEEN OF THE DAMNED?

  • @2malebus yea he does

  • Doe's he Sing in QUEEN OF THE DAMNED?

  • JD FTW!

  • i like this version but the version of draiman (dunno if it's right .__.) is a lil better

  • his voice is sooo strange.

He sounds like a cartoon. He's awesome.

  • KoЯn

  • LESTAT! :D

  • Saw him at Download 08, not as good as watching all of korn.. but still FUCKIING AMAZING

  • he has the voice of an angel! i luv you, JD!!!

  • we walk amongst you feeding, raping...must we hide from everyone?

will JD rape me too??? 8) i would not mind...=0
