  • Why are we arguing about how good disney is on a less then one minute theme song clip?

  • Miss.piggy is fat.But pretty

  • @Estronguista She's a pig. A skinny pig, now that, would be odd.

  • I am completely convinced that Disney and all the other channels directed towards children are deliberately making their shows worse so that kids will be more inclined to go outside and play instead of watch TV. If they were to remake the Muppets as a show, it would be neat if they could make it primetime then it wouldn't even matter whether kids were playing outside or not.

  • Hobo Joe: Why don't you get things started????

    XD

  • Believe it or not, but the reason this movie even exists is because Jason Segel (The writer and "Gary" In the film) went up to Disney and asked them to produce it, because he wanted kids of our generation to know of the muppets

  • @ArceusAvenger Not completelly!

  • I'd go back and see this film again , just for that song XD

  • msninjani i think your wrong the muppets have always been a hit, it would be great and money didnt stop it before, its about the qualitie, ratings, laughter and fans

so yes i think they would : P

  • cool

  • Really.

  • this is so tripy

  • THUMBS UP IF THEY NEED TO MKAE THE SHOW AGAIN!!!!

    (i am 13 btw)

  • Anyone else totally lose it when Hobo Joe sang?

  • Only complaint is that's too fast

  • its funny how the muppet movie is about basically a money hungry corporation that wants to bastardize the image of the muppets and sell it off cheaply...because thats essentially what disney makes money doing.

  • @SeerSucker1981: Yet, it only grew that way out of necessity over the years, due to Hollywood's increasing exploitation of those trapped within the fanciful nature of being famous.

  • SHOW

  • Finally a good show on disney channel will be on we love them and they will come back hopefully THE MUPPETS

  • Disney died with Walt. I can't hate them because they distribute Pixar.. but they're more the soulless, ex band leader, now filthy bus driver to Pixar's gifted kids program.

  • @tommenno no.

  • @Firebrdsuite Yes times a million billion. To infinity. Plus one. There I can be a four year old too. Boogerhead.

  • @tommenno: No, even in the Einser era before he left & eventually died in 2009, the same year the 3rd voice of Mickey--Wayne Allwine--passed on, Roy E. Disney, Walt's nephew, was around to make everything ran smoothly & didn't ruin the image his uncle created. It was not until he retired that Eisner began shaping things to his own liking, even choosing Bob Iger as his replacement, who has now removed Walt's name from the record by saying that tradition slows progress down.

  • @tommenno until now! Disney lives, And No, Disney is great, i've been a fan since i was little and still am, Disney still is and always will be great, Long live Disney!

  • @Firebrdsuite ok, 1. disney only release 1 or 2 amazing films once in a while (case in point the muppets and toy story 3) now a days and 2. the only good disney show on right now is phineas and ferb

  • @buchanproductions WRONG!

  • @Firebrdsuite how, elaborate before you make comments like that

  • @buchanproductions Lots of DIsney Shows are good, look At Kick Buttowski, Hannah Montanah, The Fairies Shorts, And their movies are also great, look at The War Horse, Brave, The Marvel Films ETC. Long Live Disney!

  • @Firebrdsuite well i guess thats your opinion and also the marvel are mostly made by marvel films

  • @buchanproductions No, And Marvel Films are mostly owned By Disney!

  • @Firebrdsuite *looks at hanna montana*

*Blood starts to drip from ears and eyes*

It's like each of my senses have been polluted. I can literally TASTE how terrible that show is.

Now, Disney has always been good at paying for great stories (Every princess movie ever) and not screwing them up as a movie. And it's hard to screw up classic comic stories, because they've been redone so many times all the ways you can screw them up have already been done and shunned accordingly.

  • @tommenno no, Tangled makes my eyes and ears bleed, Disney is great and always is/ will be!

  • @Firebrdsuite Just cause Disney bought Pixar doesn't suddenly make them any good. Sure, they've BOUGHT some good production companies, (Muppet Studios, Pixar) but they themselves haven't chugged out any good content in years.

And don't start telling me that Hannah Montanah is good. I shan't hear a word of it.

  • @SoniClub Yes they are, look at John Carter, Look at The Princess And The Frog, Look at Kick Buttowski, The Tinker Bell Films, Long Live Disney!

  • @Firebrdsuite No they're NOT, you don't speak for disney, and DO NOT have the right to say anything on their behalf now shut up and keep your mouth shut unless you have something SMART to say!

  • @PrimalWolf2006 Gee, angry much? I can admit Disney's doing a crappy job on their channels, but the movies are ACTUALLY good again. The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Winnie the Pooh, Tron: Legacy, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, The Muppets, and soon there will be Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, and King of the Elves. Disney's back and it's up to you to decide whether you want to stick by the urban myth or break out of that shell of yours. Watch one of them and I guarantee you it is good!

  • @MariotheHedgehog1998 Gee....Nosy much, here i am, trying to make firebrdsuite realise he doesn't speak for disney, haim saban etc, because i'm sick of him having the deluison that he's got the right to say what disney, saban, warner, pbs and other companies will do, i recall them having official spokesmen for that!

  • @PrimalWolf2006 Oh, well then I'm sorry. You could've chosen a more polite tone though.

  • @MariotheHedgehog1998 sorry, i tend to get a bit carried away sometimes....

  • @SoniClub And It does!

  • @tommenno No they're not!

  • @tommenno I feel that the Disney films and parks are doing excellent but their television department is the one that's lacking

  • @Roccoisawsome DISNEY RUINS EVERYTHING! DON`T PUT THE MUPPETS BACK ON DISNEY, PUT IT BACK ON SOME OTHER CHANNEL BECAUSE DISNEY RUINS EVERYTHING! (I want them to bring back the muppets but on a different channel)

  • @MrJackonRocks NO! DISNEY HATER!

  • @Firebrdsuite oh shut the hell up!, oooh someone doesn't agree me so they're a hater, he's a disney FAN, unlike you who IS DELUDED and thinks he SPEAKS FOR COMPANIES when IT'S BULLSHIT

  • @MrJackonRocks: But Jim gave Disney ownership over the Muppets before he died in 1990, so...

  • Note, I say Jim gave Disney ownership in 1990 before he died & he did, but it wasn't official until 2001.

  • You know why Disney hasn't brought this show back?

    Effort.

Most Disney Channel shows are low maintenance now. All you need is a few kids, a half-assed script, a couple of sets, and BOOM, instant hit. The Muppets would need puppets, professional puppeteers, actors, guest stars, and musicians. You think Disney Channel will spend the time and money on all these things?

    Nope.

  • @MsNinjani NO!

  • @Firebrdsuite YES!

  • @PrimalWolf2006 NO! not speaking!

  • @Firebrdsuite Then quit replying like a retarded troll.........DISNEY shows today SUCK.......you seem to not realise there are THOUSANDS of people who think that.....one little fag like you isn't going to change the TRUTH

  • @PrimalWolf2006 i am fuckard!

  • @Firebrdsuite No you aren't FUCKTARD........

  • @Firebrdsuite Look, what we're all trying to say is DISNEY CHANNEL'S TV SHOWS ARE BAD! Disney's movie's aren't bad!

  • @gumballanddarwin3 No, they're all good, and besides Disney's Improving!

  • @MsNinjani A real shame :(

  • Comment removed

  • @MsNinjani Actually, it's because it was Mr. Henson's wish that the show stopped at its highest point. Anything else would be insulting. Let's just stick with the great movies, right?

  • @MsNinjani Only problem with that theory, is that went through with a movie, and not a TV show. If they made a movie, they would HAVE to make a tv show.

Also, the muppets weren't considered as a kids show back in their day. They were a comedy act.

  • @Th3DarkPheon1x And still are now And Forever Etc. Etc.

  • Jim Henson is watching this movie right now in heaven. He loves it!

  • Cars 2 blew, so I think this was my favorite movie of the year.

  • @Roccoisawsome im all for that but they would have guests like justin beiber.

  • Disney Today, Any Day Rocks!

  • May we have the old show of the muppets and new versions of it... But it better it not be crappy as HELL.... We want the same childhood show that we all fell in love with

  • @splashmandx and hope fully it wont be cheesy and stupid like they tried to make it before

  • Disney ,Saban, And Jim Henson Company Together Rocks!

  • Greatest tune ever!

  • @gumballanddarwin3 you DO have a very good point there

  • @TheAwesomaniac lol yeah, i do

  • To Disney: Why are your movies better than your tv shows? lol

  • Muppets<3

  • @Roccoisawsome that would make me so happy!

  • GOOSEBUMPS!!!!

so much love for this song

  • @Roccoisawsome "except for P&F"

    that's a loud of Bull

  • Disney now sucks. Our new generation.......... NO TASTE OR RESPECT FOR HEART-WARMING CLASSICS

  • @XxElphabaPotterxX Even Sam the Eagle could approve of THAT comment... as long as he didn't know what "heart-warming classics" you were talking about.

  • @TeamRocketRockin: But outside of the Fraggles, Jim gave ownership of his characters to CTW--now Sesame Workshop--and Disney, in 2001 & 2004, respectively. Sure, the Frog will always represent Jim in the same way the Mouse represents Walt (for as Wayne Allwine was told in the 80s, "Remember, you're just filling in for the boss") and how Rainbow Connection represents the Muppets as Disney is represented by When You Wish Upon a Star, the Mouse & the Frog are like family now.

  • Comment removed

  • @TherealRNO What does that have to do with anything I just said?

  • I was pointing out how some want the Muppets out of Disney due to the current product, even though Jim gave the Muppets to the Mouse House when he was still alive. Plus, the TV stations are separate from the theme parks--which have kept the heritage of the Disney empire (notice how there are no rides based on the tween TV shows)--and though Bob may try to erase Walt from history & Anne might ruin the network, it is true fans who keep the magic alive moreso than anyone!

  • Ok listen up.A new muppet television series is coming to CNN called The New Nabors.Look it up with the same spelling in this comment

  • even tho im a alot younger than the generation that watched the muppets i still love them, and i know how faous they were and wut it means to everyone that they came back with this movie. i remember in the theatre my mom was all teary eyed and singing along with this song

  • The only way I'd actually vote for a Muppet Show tv series back on tv is if the people behind this new Muppets film did it. Cuz this movie was perfect

  • the muppets will never cease to make my day/life more beautiful! i owe them so many joyous and amusing moments, or moments when i was about to give up but didn't. thank you, muppets <3

  • Statler: I've always dreamed we be back here to do a show

    Waldorf: Dreams those ere nightmares

    Ho hohohohohoh

  • Kids of 1950-1990 know what disney is all about. todays kids started forgetting. Bring back the good stuff ♥

  • @DubbingforDreams I may be a kid of the 2000's but i know what you mean, i love old disney and old stuff like that and most of my age group are sucked in by family guy and other shows, luckily i grew up with old disney and know it

  • Lets make a tv network called cde and they will send muppets all over the day!!!!!!!!!

  • the one in the 1970's was bedder than the 2011/2012 one. D:

  • The most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational SONG! <3

  • I absolutly love this song!

  • If you think the muppets should come back please ``LIKE`` my last comment!

  • If I could bring back ANY show it would SO be the muppets! I don`t know why they havn`t already! I mean, the muppets inspire kids to laugh along with someone rather than at them. To love others for who they are rather than what they have or do and just have fun!

  • @Selenagomez1031 wouldn't you also bring back Arrested Development?

  • @kubrox91 they are bringing it back for one more season on netflix then they are doing a movie

  • @RKGtrio Who knows?!

  • @Roccoisawsome i luv P+F GO PHINBELLA

  • BRING BACK THE MUPPET SHOW. IN THE MOVIE THEY SET IT UP PERFECTLY FOR MORE MOVIES AND/OR A NEW SERIES!

  • IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE MUSIC IT'S TIME TO LIGHT THE LIGHTS!!! YES BRING BACK THE MUPPET SHOW DAMMIT!!!

  • i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My school band is playing this as one of the songs for the Spring Concert. I play the flute which is one of the melody parts. We just got the part the other day, so i'm not too good at it yet, so I can't wait to hear the final outcome! I was just on here to see what the song was like at the regular tempo with the lyrics. Great video! Thanks :)

  • Thumbs up if Whitmire's Kermit actually IMPROVES the intro.

  • @TeamRocketRockin I think Steve has done an outstanding job of performing Kermit. He's no Jim Henson but he's pretty close!

  • @TeamRocketRockin Yeah! I always thought it was weird when Jim Henson says "It's time to GET things started..." The way Jim says "Get" just seems really weird to me...

  • @TeamRocketRockin This was actually the first movie since Hensons death that I didn't think, why doesn't Kermit sound like Kerimt.

  • @winnetouch no it wasnt muppets from space was made after jim henson died and so was evrey episode of muppets tonight

  • Comment removed

  • @stabbybelkar And your point being? I said this is the first movie where I DIDN'T constantly think to myself wha doesn' kermit sound like kermit. Meaning Steve Whitmire did an amazing job. So I don't really see what you are trying to tell me :P

  • @winnetouch well i dont want to sound like a troll and get in to an angument but didnt brian henson do the voice of kermit after jim henson died

  • @stabbybelkar Brian did do the voice of Kermt but only on 2 occasions i think (one of them was a very muppet christmas). The primary muppeter since 1990 was Steve and has voice kermit ever since except on some rare ocasions on show appearances. I don't want to sound like a know it all mean guy (becasue I'm really not) but look up on the info before you post. Wikipedia is really not that hard to use.

  • Joanna Newsom at about 0:25

  • @sparklieashley270 i was quoting the old guys in the booth

  • STATLER AND WALDORF FOR THE WIN

  • I saw the movie now I'm obsessed with muppets!!!!!!!

  • @disneylover304 I wanna go and by the Kermit plushie at the Disney store. XP

  • Tex Richman disliked this video

  • haha zach galifanackis

  • 1 person joined the bad guys that wanted to buy the the muppet studio

  • Somebody dub this into the beginning:

Kermit: It's the Muppet Show, with our very special guest star, Mr. Jack Black! (high-pitch) YAAAAAAAYYY!

  • Heard they are making a reboot coming out next year on ABC how exciting

  • I think if they made a new Muppet Show, it would work best online. It would give them more of that creative freedom they've been known for. Not to mention it's where their comeback first began, if you remember how successful the Youtube videos have been.

  • ITS TIME TO PLAY THE MUSIC ITS TIME TO LIGHT THE LIGHTS ITS TIME TO MEET THE MUPPETS ON THE MUPPETS SHOW TONIGHT!!! OMG I WANT TO MEET THE MUPPETS!!!!!:]

  • they should make it longer

  • dreams those were nightmares

  • @act4life5198 your a nightmare this movie is freakin awsome why listen to it if you dont like it d.a

  • @sparklieashley270 he was quoting from the song

  • it's christmas eve, why am i watching that

  • this music is the best!

  • Seriously. This is so much better than the crap they've been making on Disney channel.

  • @wiiking9 I totally agree. I don't know why they don't reboot this, and give the people the creative freedom they need to make it great. Oh wait, I forgot, it's disney

  • @wiiking9 AMEN!

  • @wiiking9 No, this is so much better than anything anyone makes for kids.

  • @wiiking9 Pshh I know that's right!

  • @wiiking9 listen, I've never seen a real Muppet show but a couple weeks ago i got on here and i watched some and they spoke to me i teared up watching them because i always missed them!

  • @wiiking9 Even though disney owns the muppets.....

  • @videogamemaniac83 It's still pretty effy between the Henson's and Disney. Especially considering the crap Eisner pulled off.

  • @Costerguy1234556 Sorry but who's Eisner and what did he do?

  • @SonicPhan630 Micheal Eisner: he was the CEO at Disney from the mid-80s until about 2004. At first he did fantastic things around the company but in the in the mid-90s shit just spiraled out of control. He signed a deal to buy the Muppets from the Hensons but when Jim Henson died he also tried to take Sesame Street from the Hensons and they wanted to keep that. He basically fucked the relationship between Disney and the Hensons. Eisner infamous for effing up Disney channel and more

  • @Costerguy1234556 Ooooohhhh..... well he sucks.

  • @Costerguy1234556 Grrrr, that Eisner. How I despise him... That ogre destroyed what Disney truly was! You can bet that if he were still in charge, this movie wouldn't have been so successful. Also, his attempt to add the Sesame Street gang was around the time Henson was still alive.

  • @wiiking9 No!

  • @Firebrdsuite why no?

  • @wiiking9 because Disney shows today do rock, look at kick buttowski!

  • @Firebrdsuite NO, disney shows today SUCK!!!.............bring back the good ones like gargoyles, mighty ducks, etc

  • @PrimalWolf2006 YES!!! Those were good shows!

  • @wiiking9 Todays shows are good too! Look At Kick Buttowski And Jake And The Neverland Pirates!

  • @Firebrdsuite HAHAHAHA! Good joke... good joke.

  • @wiiking9 No! It's Not A Joke! Disney Rocks! Always!

  • @Firebrdsuite DISNEY is cool. DISNEY CHANNEL is not.

  • @wiiking9 They All Are! Everything Disney is Cool!

  • @Firebrdsuite CRAZY FANBOY ALERT!!! CRAZY FANBOY ALERT!!!

  • @wiiking9 CRAZY HATER ALERT!!!! CRAZY HATER ALERT!!!!

  • @Firebrdsuite annnnnnnd... you're copying my joke. *applauds sarcastically* good job.

  • @wiiking9 Well, you Don't appreciate a good studio that was made by a great creator that brought animation to where it is today, even Warner Brothers, PBS, Nickelodeon, And Anime ETC. wouldn't be here today if not for Disney!

  • @Firebrdsuite Don't get me wrong, I love Disney. It mis the channel they have. Disney Channel. I hate the shows on Disney Channel. I love Disney, not Disney Channel. Big difference.

  • @wiiking9 Disney and everything about it is still good, including it's recent and upcoming acquisitions Etc.

  • @Firebrdsuite disney's CURRENT shows SUCK...........gargoyles, mighty ducks, kim possible, american dragon, etc.........GOOD but not all this hannah montana, lizzie mcguire stuff and stfu with the buy everything back LIES

  • @Firebrdsuite ROFLMAO!!............that is the most retarded thing i've EVER read.....pbs - nickelodeon, warner brothers and anime HAVE nothing to do with disney.........my god talk about downright, moronic trolling!

  • @PrimalWolf2006: Warner Bros. would NOT exist without Disney. See, Carl Sterling (known best for composing the tunes for Looney Tunes), Ub Iwerks (the man who drew Oswald & Mickey for Walt), & even the Sherman Bros. (the duo behind many of Disney's classic songs) worked for the fledgling Warner Bros. after leaving Walt after the War. The Shermans (following a stint with Hanna-Barbara) returned, but Iwerks (who went on to Universal) & Sterling (who stayed with the WB) didn't.

  • @TherealRNO warner bros was founded in 1918, DECADES before the WALT DISNEY company EXISTED......nice try but FAIL!

  • @PrimalWolf2006: No. Carl Sterling--a symbol of the golden age of Warner--worked for & with Walt before WB truly began. Yes, Universal existed, but Warner & its identifiable Bosko and Looney Tunes came AFTER Walt created Oswald (hell, Bosko IS Oswald essentially, but minus the rabbit ears) & Mickey (Mick was made in 1928 & his top rivaling mascot in Bugs Bunny didn't come out until the 1940s or thereabouts).

  • @TherealRNO Guess again..........WARNER CARTOONS came after disney, NOT
