vik muniz is great, it's you who is stuck in a different era of art. art is no longer about making beautful or odd paintings. If you try hard, you'll get it; you'll enjoy it greatly afterwards! Now, do you really thing everybody pretends or puts a big acting show so that you and other people don't get it? Come on, this is more than a conspiracy theory! It's new ideas, it's all about ideas triggering other ideas in your own mind. You are really missing out.

lol I understand modern art, I appreciate much of it, I do some installation art myself but what I am saying is much of it is not good art. Giving something a clever 'meaning' that makes you say "oh yeah, I get it" does not make something good. Fair enough if the guy wants to put these things in a space, but personally I would be embarased to show this. Just my opinion , but then projecting a video onto a tree would actualy interest me much more lol. Each to their own I suppose..

I don't know, as I hate to sound like a art snob, but putting common objects on display does not say art to me. Maybe might work if the objects was much older & harder to locate in good condition, but Legos & a Rubik's Cube, some hand written text, a sheet of paper & a pencil ?

2 Contact me and I will introduce you to some "NEW" and better artists that you are obviously not aware of that would be more than happy to exhibit their work at MoMA.

MoMA can't find new artists or decide for themselves what types of exhibitions should be presented, so they find some celebrity artist to pick for them. Don't you have Curator's at MoMA? This is obviously just a cute idea that some powerful douche bag came up with and everybody else went along with to be cool despite the fact that they thought it was bad idea!
