@filthynumber1 Back in those days, the players took the visor thing a little more seriously. If you had a helmet with no visor, you weren't expected to take off your helmet, even though the other guy did. Im sure in todays NHL Kocur would have shed his helmet. And beat the piss out of him. Not hold on for dear life like Brett did here.
@SuperThunderlips the visor thing i might hafta agree with u on. and lindros was 19 or 20 here fighting the toughest guy in the league. cut him some slack
@filthynumber1 I guess....Im sure Brett didn't want to back down and look weak in front of his teamates. But then figured the best thing to do was to hold on to that right arm. I agree with you.
@kda5 what this? you cant fight with a visor on?? lol. u certainly can fight with a visor on.... although in todays NHL they tend to take it off to save on broken hands and due to mutual repsect the other fighter takes his off as well. eye for an eye sort of speak. kocur didnt here.
To me it was sad that BRETT had such a short career. In my opinion he was way more exciting than his pansy ass brother. It was nothing short of amazing the guys this 18 year old kid was going after. Take your helmet off against kocur? This kid had balls that could come in a dump truck.
it had nothin to do with what you think, it had to do with kocurs hand, and brett didnt seem to mind, he had little chance of landing a solid right anyhow.
@nyerinmo Kocur honored him with a right cross to the face...but have to agree Brett had way more balls than his brother...Eric was just a fatass on ice. Claude Lemiex had more class than E. Lindros and that aint saying much...course Claude didnt really need class...he was sheer evil and I liked that.
@MafiaWars23 obviously you never watched Eric play. He was NEVER afraid to drop the gloves. Many more times than not, it led to his opponent also being dropped.
Kocur loses again.

It looked to me like Lindros was trying to hold him:
1.To prove a bit that he could and your not gonna get an arm free till i let you sorta deal.
2.He wanted to wait till he could let off a good hay maker.
3.Just waiting so he wasn't gonna get it until he was ready to throw.

I'd say a draw, but I'd lean toward's Kocur. I do think he should have taken off his helmet too. It gave him a definite advantage.

Kocur made a career out of waiting for the big right.. he would even go so far as to take punches so he could land his big right.

EDGE/NARROW WIN J.Kocur as he took over later.
Kocur is one-dimensional fighter which looked here as he didn't change his hand(he tryed to throw only rights).
Lindros opened up, to land couple of shots as Kocur landed one perfect shot.
Kocur gets loose and it means troubles to younger Lindros.
Kocur landed 2 big shots.
Good,solid scrap.

Kocur showed NO CLASS by not taking off his helmet after Lindros did. I thought he had a bit more honor than that.

if kocur gets loose, oh jeez, look the heck out! brett would have had a concussion his brother would have gotten well before he met mr. stevens.
