yea, i've started something like that before. you do like 1 or 1 1/2 inch wide strips as long as you can get them then tie them together and make it like a ball of yarn.

wats modge podge?? and is it necessary for the project?? couldnt you just pin it in place and the sew??

Mod Podge is a non water soluble glue, so it doesn't come out in the wash. It isn't necessary, but it makes it easier to pin and sew with the pieces glued together.

Trying to make a subculture is kind of silly. Subcultures just sort-of happen. They're accidental, incidental, and they mutate into something completely different once they become mainstream.

we aren't trying to create a subculture. the reason i do this is because i want people to think about where the stuff they buy comes from and how it is made. we buy so much shit to just throw it out not long after. its ridiculous. when you make something yourself you appreciate it a lot more. and when you do it by reusing something, its bliss.

its about being yourself and feeling comfortable with who you are but also being a conscious consumer.
