  • A great jazz musician, composer and sax player all rolled into one! Lovin' the Stig!

  • Great version! However, without Elvis this song would still be unknown. Credit where credit is true. Curtis Stigers' voice sounds so much like Ray Charles!

  • @elvisinmunich amen to that, ray charles all over again, curtis sings jazz but in a very soulminded way

  • Kudos for not attributing "That's Alright" to Elvis

  • @Lavizzle even though elvis changed the words and made the song better and famous

  • @mdz255 Just like with "Hound Dog" he changed the lyrics into googoo-gaga caliber nonsense so that white people could stay sheltered from real life...

His version of "That's Alright" is ok musically... I agree with Jerry Lieber (of Lieber & Stoller), though, in that Elvis' versions of RnB songs are DEFINITELY not "better"... just more accessibly commercial.

Elvis was talented, he just had no control over his career.

  • @Lavizzle yea its a shame that elvis had no control over his career he had a bad manager

  • Cool take on this tune. Stigers has a cool voice and the band is great.

    I like bread and butter.
