War, according to the Bible, is not caused by God but is rather the result of sin in the world (Genesis 4:5-8, Matthew 15:19, Mark 7:21-23, Romans 3:10-18).
"From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not." (James 4:1-2)

Did we get peace in 1939 ? Hitler was as much an atheist as yourself. Where those millions of people honestly praying for peace in jesus name > yes or no ? Did we get it ? Is he a liar ? yes.
You want to argue and you dont remember from 1 post to the next watt you say.Your words:"Hitler was as much an athiest as yourself".Watt kind of promise would you like fullfilled ?
god does not keep his promises. He says several times in scripture, what you ask in prayer will be given. in 1939, the whole christian wolrd was praying for peace, day and night, so to speak, What did we get ? 60.000.000 corpses.
@tallliza The so called christian world was praying for peace with God on their side while their bayonets they did shine.Some prayers are pointless so why the f..k would God answer misguided hypocrites with their self righteous bullshit prayers.Did those praying lay down their arms obviously not.You reap watt you sow.

Yes millions prayed for peace but an 'elite' few ruled and took the world to war. Man chose his own way and the leaders of our nations did not ask God what He wanted. It is the same now and Bush, Blair and Howard took us to war. They did not ask the people through a referendum what we wanted. Again it was the 'elite' who determined to bear arms. Don't blame Jesus for that for it was man's choice. We all have 'free choice' and we all will suffer the consequences of those choices.
@howsimpleisit56 You are beating around the bush. Did he promise without any ifs or buts.... if you ask anything in my name ,you will get it.. We asked in prayer for peace. Did we get it ? He will intervene and prayers will be answered once and for all time...... Oh sure he give us peace after the war. LOL
God will answer prayer but in His Time not yours. Is that so hard to comprehend??? There is much your human understanding cannot comprehend. There is a Great Controversy going on and there are behaviours and attitudes that must be allowed to play out in order for the Universe and man to learn. Lessons that have eternal value...
Satan must be allowed to 'fully develop' his kingdom so that we can learn which kingdom is more valid. Satan's desires to erradicate all of God's Creation off this planet. A rational, logical adult can see that. Rain forests, animal and plant distinction, the environment are all being 'killed off'. Satan is replacing it with concrete, cement, waste lands. Love is being replaced with hate. Family is being replaced with whatever. People are filling their brains with technology..
Indeed if you look at the world today and the world over the past one hundred years satan kingdom is fast being set up. What lessons are you learning from the horrors you are witnessing? Are you looking forward to a 'better country' or are you just angry and wanting to blame God for it all? A wise, knowledgeable person could see what is really happening. God will answer pray in His own Time and I look forward to that day when my prayers will be answered in FULL.
How do you know that He does not keep His Promises? God does not answer in ways that man expects but in ways that are best for our humaness.
Hitler was a dictator and an atheist who was so full of egotism that he murdered his own people. In our foolishness the allies did not go to God but choose to 'bear arms'. Both sides were wrong and God had nothing to do with their choices.

The leaders such as Hitler, Churchill, Truman - who dropped the atomic bomb on Japan - and Menzies to name the few leaders did not listen and had blood on their hands. A handful of men refused to humble themselves and brought about horrendous murder. The world is run by the 'elite' and they do not listen to God. God will never force the will and awaits us to humble ourselves in 'love' for him. Soon very soon He will intervene and prayers will be answered once and for all time.

@tallliza Jesus said that His coming would cause division instead of peace:
"Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division; for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two, and two against three. They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother; mother-in-law against daughter- in-law, and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law." (Luke 12:51-53)
Thank you for the link on youtube Ravi Zacharias. My husband and I watched this. What an inspirational and wise person. It is a pity our friend @tallliz does not take the time to listen to a wonderful man who has all the answers he desires.
@howsimpleisit56 This wonderful man is just a talented speaker. His intrepretation has no more validity than all the others , in the 35.000 christian denominations.
I see so your intrepretation is the only right intrepretation? I am well aware of the 135 000 Christian denominations as well as the many other religions of the world including evolution. However; a Bible-based Christian knows of only one church - a remnant church made up of people of all denominations, creeds and world thought. They are 'heart' Christians - the ones who have had a 'heart change' and are living the 'Word' in their hearts.
@tallliza The Hebrew word translated "peace" is shalom, which also means "completeness," "soundness," "welfare," "tranquility," "contentment," and "friendship." In particular, it also refers to peace with God through a covenant relationship.
Jesus explained that He came to provide the means to obtain personal peace with God through Him.
@tallliza Jesus explained that He came to provide the means to obtain personal peace with God through Him.
"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. (John 14:27)
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
@tallliza The Old Testament prophecies claiming the Messiah would be the Prince of Peace were referring to peace with God through the new covenant of peace. Through this covenant, the Messiah would justify sinners through His sacrifice as the guilt offering of God. Those who accept Jesus as Savior experience the peace provided by God's Spirit. This peace surpasses all comprehension for those who have never experienced it before.
@mrmongo90 That`s again a bible verse that says nothing. If 2 billion people praying for peace are not getting what the ask,. what is the use of such a promise ? Is the father glorified by PEACE or by WAR ?
@tallliza War, according to the Bible, is not caused by God but is rather the result of sin in the world.(Genesis 4:5-8, Matthew 15:19, Mark 7:21-23, Romans 3:10-18).
"From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not."
@mrmongo90 And what about the following verse ? Does it state any conditions ?
Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Yet we asked in prayer and we didn`t get. He is a liar,
@tallliza In Matthew 7:7 Jesus calling for persistance in prayer.
"Asking suggests dependence; seeking suggests yearning; knocking suggests persistence. Jesus wanted to encourage faith. These verses should not be applied out of the context of the Sermon on the Mount; they are intended for those asking within the "narrow gate'' of Jesus' followers. Prayer is to accomplish God's purposes." (Disciples Study Bible)
@mrmongo90 Thatis YOUR intrepretation, because it fir nicely into what your believe. Because you can`t admit that Jesus promises are empty words. So. you have to come up with some reason why prayers are not heard.
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not." (James 4:1-2)

"From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not."
@tallliza no, that verse does not state conditions. you're correct that Jesus said many times, 'ask in my name and you will receive', or more simply, 'ask and you will receive.' but who am i to pray against the will of my God, the creator of all. how are we to know? you have to consider the vanity of the things you ask for, not saying that those lives where vain, but God works all things to His good. the basis you've been using is that we never got peace, but as well as my God lives,...
@tallliza as well as my God lives, the holocaust is over, the nazi party isn't in power, and no more are dying, peace was achieved. now, im not here to argue, i just want to tell you that my God loves you. even though you've spit in His face, called him a liar, and blasphemed Him, He was beaten and battered for YOU. He knew you would hate him, but He DIED for you, 'greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends'- Jesus. and now i pray in Jesus' great and matchless...
@tallliza ...in Jesus' great and matchless name, for i know it is His will, that you would see Him in His full splendor, i expel this spirit of doubt from you in JESUS name! be rid of it! i pray you have eyes to see the things unseen, even if only for a short while, like when elisha's servant saw Your army, God. i anoint Your Spirit and Your wisdom on those who encounter talliza, Lord, have them not speak but you speak through them. i pray that talliza feels Your love. i thank you for...
I think you have a definite mind set and you are the one unable to read. Did God answer their prayer? It seems to me you want a scapegoat to hang the blame on and God is your target. It fails to register in your immature and irrational brain that man was the one who killed 60 million people and satan was the one inciting the strife. Yet you cannot blame satan or man. I think you have an enormous anger problem against God and that is what you should address.
@howsimpleisit56 . You can beat around the bush all you want, The facts are, he promised several times... ask in my name and you will get it... Yet ,when almost 2 billion christians were begging for peace, all we got is 60 million dead. He is a liar, period,
So you believe that God must answer prayer straight away when man wants answers? You want to tell God what to do? Is that not egotism?
"Ask in My Name and you will receive it"... The first prequisite is to 'know' God. Was it God's Will for man to fight in war? Who went to war? Was it God or man? God does not force the will: man made the 'choice' to go to war and you want to blame God because he didn't force man to stop fighting. Find out 'who' God is before you judge Him
I will say it again because it seems you do not have enough intelligence to understand the first time. God cannot and will not force the will. He needs to teach us Eternal Lessons that we may never go down the path of destruction again.
The Eternal Lesson: God wants us to love Him out of 'free choice'. God never forces the will nor does He use fear in order for us to serve Him.
...It was 'man's choice' to go to war NOT God's. God could have stepped in and 'killed off' Hitler, all the allies and all those bearing arms. Is that what you want me to say? God should have answered prayer and 'killed them all'? After all man chose to go to war and therefore God should have murdered the lot of them? So God joins the same ranks as those who killed 60 million??? Your logic is senseless.
@tallliza God grants prayers done in the "name of Jesus." "And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 14:13) This does not mean that all prayers ending in the words "in Jesus name" will be granted - but only those that glorify the Father.
@mrmongo90 That is YOUR intrepretation. First: prove that the verse you quoted annuls or limits the scope of other verses, were he without any ifs or buts state.. ask in my name and you will get it .. With your reasoning I can as well prove that the verse I quoted annuls yours. Which verse is true ? . Secondly. What glofifies the father through the son ? war or peace ? So why didn`t we get peace, when the whole christian world was begging for it ? Because he is a liar !
@tallliza The christian world did not get peace , they were duped into thinking that they would have peace by praying for God on their side.They took up arms and fought and did not win, all that happened was a lotta people died. God does not answer the prayers of those with evil intent.The only reason that war ended was due to the fact that human and material resource were exhausted.God did not start the war nor did God finish it.
@tallliza ...thank you for everything God. only You are worthy, only You are holy. i pray all this in Jesus name, if anyone agree's, gimme an amen. Sorry for bringing this back up half a year later
@howsimpleisit56 Are you able to read ? How does denying that ..hitler was an atheist ..in any way contradict what I said before ? How does that contradict the statement that.. 2 billion christians prayed for peace and all we got was 60 million dead ?

look for him in Love, learn to love one another, for Love for another we have fulfilled the Law, for God himself is Love, and by love for one another we walk with God, search for him in Love, and call on the Name of Love Jesus Christ the Son of the most High, Bless u all
Ellis uses something he calls an open tuning. This song was written by Woody Guthrie and his daughter asked Ellis to put it to music several years ago. An honor for sure and a splendid job! Ellis and my son have become good friends and this guy is the genuine deal.
I met Ellis a few weeks ago, such a nice man that enjoys meeting his fans, wish there was a way to show the world what a great songwriter and performer he is.....
Ellis is one of my favorite musicians . I saw him perform this song live for the first time in December 2008 and there were a lot tears being shed in the audience.
in my opionion, this song is the best song in the world, no matter how many times i listen to it, i get goose pimples. the world aint slowing down has the same effect, but this one just has the emosion.
Ellis Paul is awesome! I was exposed to him on a first date 14 years ago and have been impressed with his talent ever since! My now husband and I have seen him 3 times, the first time for our 10th anniversary. Talented man!

@tallliza My interpretation? I cited that entire paragraph to Disciples Study Bible. Do I believe it though? Yes.
I actually almost cited Wikipedia, but of course we have been taught in school that wikipedia is not a reliable source.
By the way, spell check can do wonders.
Another thing, sorry for the delay. Mid-Terms and all that good stuff.

Thank you for the link on youtube Ravi Zacharias. My husband and I watched this. What an inspirational and wise person. It is a pity our friend @tallliz does not take the time to listen to a wonderful man who has all the answers he desires.
howsimpleisit56 11 months ago
@howsimpleisit56 This wonderful man is just a talented speaker. His intrepretation has no more validity than all the others , in the 35.000 christian denominations.
tallliza 11 months ago
@tallliza
I see so your intrepretation is the only right intrepretation? I am well aware of the 135 000 Christian denominations as well as the many other religions of the world including evolution. However; a Bible-based Christian knows of only one church - a remnant church made up of people of all denominations, creeds and world thought. They are 'heart' Christians - the ones who have had a 'heart change' and are living the 'Word' in their hearts.
howsimpleisit56 11 months ago
@mrmongo90 Didn`t they call him... the prince of peace.. according to the prophecies ? Another prophecy that is proven worthless.
tallliza 11 months ago
@tallliza The Hebrew word translated "peace" is shalom, which also means "completeness," "soundness," "welfare," "tranquility," "contentment," and "friendship." In particular, it also refers to peace with God through a covenant relationship.
Jesus explained that He came to provide the means to obtain personal peace with God through Him.

@mrmongo90
Amen and amen!
howsimpleisit56 11 months ago
@tallliza Jesus explained that He came to provide the means to obtain personal peace with God through Him.
"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. (John 14:27)
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
mrmongo90 11 months ago
@tallliza The Old Testament prophecies claiming the Messiah would be the Prince of Peace were referring to peace with God through the new covenant of peace. Through this covenant, the Messiah would justify sinners through His sacrifice as the guilt offering of God. Those who accept Jesus as Savior experience the peace provided by God's Spirit. This peace surpasses all comprehension for those who have never experienced it before.

@tallliza "And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 14:13)
I quoted the exact verse you were referring to in its entirety.
I also quoted what many believers interpret that verse as saying, not just my own.
mrmongo90 11 months ago

(James 4:1-2)
mrmongo90 11 months ago
@mrmongo90 And what about the following verse ? Does it state any conditions ?
Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Yet we asked in prayer and we didn`t get. He is a liar,
tallliza 11 months ago
@tallliza In Matthew 7:7 Jesus calling for persistance in prayer.
"Asking suggests dependence; seeking suggests yearning; knocking suggests persistence. Jesus wanted to encourage faith. These verses should not be applied out of the context of the Sermon on the Mount; they are intended for those asking within the "narrow gate'' of Jesus' followers. Prayer is to accomplish God's purposes." (Disciples Study Bible)
mrmongo90 11 months ago
@mrmongo90 Thatis YOUR intrepretation, because it fir nicely into what your believe. Because you can`t admit that Jesus promises are empty words. So. you have to come up with some reason why prayers are not heard.

@tallliza no, that verse does not state conditions. you're correct that Jesus said many times, 'ask in my name and you will receive', or more simply, 'ask and you will receive.' but who am i to pray against the will of my God, the creator of all. how are we to know? you have to consider the vanity of the things you ask for, not saying that those lives where vain, but God works all things to His good. the basis you've been using is that we never got peace, but as well as my God lives,...
bigmikegotzjesus 4 months ago
@tallliza as well as my God lives, the holocaust is over, the nazi party isn't in power, and no more are dying, peace was achieved. now, im not here to argue, i just want to tell you that my God loves you. even though you've spit in His face, called him a liar, and blasphemed Him, He was beaten and battered for YOU. He knew you would hate him, but He DIED for you, 'greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends'- Jesus. and now i pray in Jesus' great and matchless...
bigmikegotzjesus 4 months ago
@tallliza ...in Jesus' great and matchless name, for i know it is His will, that you would see Him in His full splendor, i expel this spirit of doubt from you in JESUS name! be rid of it! i pray you have eyes to see the things unseen, even if only for a short while, like when elisha's servant saw Your army, God. i anoint Your Spirit and Your wisdom on those who encounter talliza, Lord, have them not speak but you speak through them. i pray that talliza feels Your love. i thank you for...
bigmikegotzjesus 4 months ago
@tallliza
I think you have an enormous anger problem against God and that is what you should address.
howsimpleisit56 11 months ago
@howsimpleisit56 . You can beat around the bush all you want, The facts are, he promised several times... ask in my name and you will get it... Yet ,when almost 2 billion christians were begging for peace, all we got is 60 million dead. He is a liar, period,
tallliza 11 months ago
@tallliza
Find out 'who' God is before you judge Him
howsimpleisit56 11 months ago
@howsimpleisit56
I will say it again because it seems you do not have enough intelligence to understand the first time. God cannot and will not force the will. He needs to teach us Eternal Lessons that we may never go down the path of destruction again.
The Eternal Lesson: God wants us to love Him out of 'free choice'. God never forces the will nor does He use fear in order for us to serve Him.
howsimpleisit56 11 months ago
@tallliza
...It was 'man's choice' to go to war NOT God's. Your logic is senseless.
howsimpleisit56 11 months ago
@tallliza God grants prayers done in the "name of Jesus." "And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 14:13) This does not mean that all prayers ending in the words "in Jesus name" will be granted - but only those that glorify the Father.
mrmongo90 11 months ago
@mrmongo90 That is YOUR intrepretation. First: prove that the verse you quoted annuls or limits the scope of other verses, were he without any ifs or buts state.. ask in my name and you will get it .. With your reasoning I can as well prove that the verse I quoted annuls yours. Which verse is true ? . Secondly. What glofifies the father through the son ? war or peace ? So why didn`t we get peace, when the whole christian world was begging for it ? Because he is a liar !
tallliza 11 months ago
@tallliza The christian world did not get peace , they were duped into thinking that they would have peace by praying for God on their side.They took up arms and fought and did not win, all that happened was a lotta people died. God does not answer the prayers of those with evil intent.The only reason that war ended was due to the fact that human and material resource were exhausted.God did not start the war nor did God finish it.

@howsimpleisit56 Are you able to read ? How does denying that ..hitler was an atheist ..in any way contradict what I said before ? How does that contradict the statement that.. 2 billion christians prayed for peace and all we got was 60 million dead ?

@tallliza

Ellis uses something he calls an open tuning. This song was written by Woody Guthrie and his daughter asked Ellis to put it to music several years ago. An honor for sure and a splendid job! Ellis and my son have become good friends and this guy is the genuine deal.
