You keep your money away from strange man outside the target store. If Strange man is trick on you about scam picture of son and CI show! No proof. Insurance always pays 80% a new CI for him, and He'll pay 20% a new CI by himself than advantage of your money no more. Be careful! Thank you for showing!
These types are what are considered "peddlers", they used to sell "ABC" cards but I guess they have graduated to begging for funds towards implants.. Most implants are free for the deaf or HH.., So what I would suggest is kindly rebuff them or even threaten to call the cops on them, that'd scare them away faster than you could blink.. I get really sick of these folk and I do believe everyone could help BY ignoring these folk, turning them away or even tell them that it is wrong to do that..
If you widen you perspective to include the people 50 to 90 who have become deaf, you will find that many want C.I. Most of these people don't sign, so they have nothing to give you. Looks like you did meet a scam at Target. Best thing is to talk for a while, give best wishes, and goodbye. Or tell him that he's competing against you, and it's your home town. Oh, you cine well. Good lighing and frame rate.
I am deaf had a jobs and also soon go to college for the best jobs future . I understand his feel want communicate with son but simple way choice use ASL not hard choice ..son should understand deaf always be accept ..My niece already learn sign language ..some my family member already know sign because they accept anything.
I know this story can be very touching, but when you have to think about it. He could be scammer. (I am deaf and....i want to have cochlear implant). I will establish a charity website that proves an information or something like that. I think he probably took an advantage of your money
I want to give you my feedback on your ASL skills:
I think your asl is amazing. I understand everything what u said.
Here is my suggestion for you...try to show your facial expression a bit more :-)
Ah, I have seen that story before .. I mean from others' experience. I think he is scammer. He knew that hearing ppl, not all - some, do feel really sorry for deaf ppl who can't hear and gave them the money so he/she can hear again. He just collect money and go out to eat nice dinner. If that guy wants to have CI, then he should find the job! My advise for you .. don't feel sorry for them, the 'peddlers'. I am deaf, by the way - I would tell them, "Go find yourself a job. Now, get lost!"
