I had it done about a month and a half ago and it really helped, but the recovery period is hell. You are on a puree/diet for a while, have to crush your medicines and is not fun. The good news is I lost weight and yes you has gas/constipation/but I got medicines for it, but it was well worth the LNF I had. I had a bad hernia as well and my surgery took over three hours. The real test will come in September, 2010 when I have an upper EGG.

the swallow test and the 24 hour acid test and this will be six months after the surgery. Don't be scared of the comments here, good or bad, everyone had a comment. Also I may add, let them keep you in the hospital for a few days and had them keep me and it was well worth it. If you have any other concerns, please feel free to send me a message.

@goose12558 Thank you for your infoand input. I have few questions about this procedure. How are you doing these days after the surgery. I am contimplating on doing it but I have second thoughts after seeing some of the responses here.

Also how do you look up a good surgeon?

well im 14 years old and i have had this for 10 years and im tube fed because of this surgray so tbh it ant that bad is a 14 year old boy can handel it :)

Had this procedure done 4 years ago and I HATE IT. I want to have it undone. The gas that builds up in your body only have two ways to escape and your prevented from burping or belching. So your +bloated all the time and farting 24/7. As well as being constipated most of the time. Very uncomfortable way to live. I would not consent to this. It causes more problems than it solves. Find another solution,diet, medication or another surgical procedure other than this one

I do this operation, I believe in it, I have such disdain for the crack made above mine.

Not sick, I am having this surgery in a month and it is good that I see it to see what my surgeon is going to do to me.

I gotta admit you have a strong stomach.

By the way, youtubers, have any of you have this surgery and if so, tell me before, and after.

I have no choice because my acid reflux so bad, even with my acid reflux meds, it is bad, so I am not affraid, so I am going to have it done.
