this is my fav piece you have done. although i havent heard all of your pieces.
i have written many pieces myself and some of them are very similar to this piece. i havent recorded any to youtube though...anyway, nice piece and well executed.
Awesome, Paul. The "hammer ons" looks too complicated for me to even try (in my opinion, this is the most advanced study of the opus in term of technique) The music is nonetheless inspiring. You could write a very interesting method with these ideas. The music is new and exciting; it's a very important aspect to a method book. It is a huge encouragement for the students to overtake the tasks in order to play these beautiful tunes.
This is the most difficult of all of the studies, I struggled to nail this one, but then I don't study my own studies - I just write them and video them before I forget the idea!!!;-)
I am thinking of trying to push the studies for publication, it seems like a good start.
I am sooooooooooo speachless right now Paul!!! :D I can't stop smiling and dancing around in joy and happiness. You did EXACTLY what I had in mind when I asked you to write such a study.
Wow!
I am so going to study this piece as fast as possible and post my own version! :) :)
I think your comment is going to go - sorry everyone - I pressed the spam button by mistake - I am so clumsy and stupid sometimes!!!
Anyway, I am really happy that you like your study, and I will be very interested to hear you play it. Sorry about the wrong button thing again - they are just too close together, I wonder if this happens a lot?
Hehe I just had to type the letters, because I had posted too many comments in too little time. I typed the wrong word three times. Must be the wine ...
Aww this is the last one! Please post more videos!
Superb! Paul, if you aren't in the final credits of some movie soon, I'll doubt the universe. I've just recently watched juno and thought, Paul could have done it better ;)) I really love your style.
(PS: Enough praise *haha* I don't like the end of this one)
great song! good transitions and theme. you clearly know your way around the guitar.
side note. you seem to give your songs very classical, mechanical titles and yet the songs have alot of emotional depth. have you considered more reveling song titles that would let people know how you felt writing the piece. it can sometimes bridge the gap between audience and performer which is hard to do over the internet.
not try to be critical, just curious what you think. peace
The reason for title my pieces with opus numbers is that it helps me to work on a goal of a set of pieces as opposed to just a piece, plus the studies for example; once I am done writing these I will move onto a new opus. My trees opus has more descriptive titles though.
Amazing! 5 stars from me! I'm gonna practice this song because of you!

Yeah, the idea of spoiling a perfect cadence with a minor chord gave me the chuckles!!!

Such a cool comment, great.
Oh yeah the ending, I quite like a silly sometimes, and I am concerned about not making any of the studies too long.
Thanks mate.
