Personally I'm an Umphrey's fan. I feel they play more coherent jams, and honestly just dig their sound more. Bisco are a solid lineup, no kidding about that and I'd go to a show any day of the week. But I'm an umphreak

oh my god, wathching jon liquid shit all over this jam is seriously painful. Jake is about 100x better as far as technique, style, phrasing, improvisation, literally every aspect of guitar playing.

I've been to camp 3 times and i've seen the biscuits on numerous occasions, jon never ceases to amaze me his awful playing, generally with excessive amounts of reverb and delay, even with all the effects he's terrible at even choosing notes. I think these next gen jam bands should be taking a step forward, jon is one gigantic leap back. I dont think he played one chord this entire jam, he's a guest, and just shits all over the entire the entire thing. Brendan is way better aswell

Jon isn't as bad here as some of the comments suggest, but I feel sorry for him from about 5.10 when Jake basically blows away anything that he attempts. What do you expect, though? Jake plays over changing chords all the time, but Jon only plays over twenty minutes of the same riff.

Have you heard the song house dawg party favor? give it a listen or a pick and you'll see this guyz a real composer/writer or was at some point. it looks like he's satirizing umphrey's comedic van halen Glory Rock dual guitar style in there faces. if you actually care about guitarists speed and accuracy why not listen to acoustic music with no sustain and more notes or something with less overdrive?

gratefullybred, how many bisco shows have you been to? or have you even listened to a live show? go to the archive(dot)org and set aside 30-40min to listen to basis>cyclone>basis seg from the 06` roo show and tell me he sucks. or look at the jam in the dam shows from 05, hes a bad ass. but with that being said.. to each his own, but done judge someones musical talent from seeing them on a gd youtube video.. see it for yourself.

unfortunately ive listened to plenty of live shows. my friends catch them whenever they are within a 5 hour drive, and ive listened to my fair share of bisco. they have their moments, but i just dont understand it. if im going to listen to that kind of stuff, ill stick to lotus.
