As a young teen growing up in the high country of Colorado, we did much the same with a large snow drift that formed against our school building, All the kids in the area worked on it. Some younger kids in our town were playing in it over Christmas Vacation when it collapsed. They were missing for 3 days before anyone started investigating the collapsed drift. The three little ones were found in a small area that ran out of oxygen after just a few hours.
