All that stuff came out of the East Village, and now what does the Village have to show for it? A bunch of spoiled NYU brats and out-of-town yuppies. Wonderful.

it's a real damn shame that it's so expensive to live there nowadays because i'm an artist and now what the F am i supposed to do? Brooklyn? South Bronx? fuck that. There will never be another neighborhood like that (as it was, not as it is now). that's probably why we haven't seen a REAL artist come out of NYC since warhol died.

I use to love that neighborhood, unfortunately,
gentrification made big changes, and now is all very yupi, and i'm talking Ave A, B and C, i left 4 years ago, probably by now Ave. D has expensive restaurants too, a shame.
