Nice Video! The concave turned out really good! We just released a making-of video from the POGO Longboard manufactory in Southern Germany. Check out our YouTube channel to see how they build a Longboard from scratch with snowboard technology!
I want to build one my self same shape but where i get stuck is it necesary to putt fiberglass on it and where do you putt the fiberglass above or below and do you know how many mm thick i need to get the wood im 60/65 kg and how long does the board need to be srry for my bad english
Where did you get individual plys of wood (veneers)? I've tried Home Depot as well as 3 lumberyards, and none of them carry any types, let alone baltic birch.
yo, well don't go wider than 11cm to prevent the wheel bite and leave enough space for trucks to turn fully... start the cutout like 5cm from the innerhole and go somewhere like 7-8cm (from innerhole). It's easy to measure if you take the bushings of from your trucks, leave the kingpin on and turn the truck with wheels on...
actually there's no yellow stuff, that's just wood shining trough the fiber glass. but what I pore on there is polyester resin... could use epoxy resin....
@TylerOsso it was 3 x 4mm veneer... one piece included 3layers so it's 9-ply and two layers of fiber glass, final product is like 1,5cm nice and stiff.
hi, i have a question. i have a mindless maverick longboard, but I'm not really happy with the deck. do you think that i can ''cut'' another deck out of it??
@themccannman you so cool. this board has taken so bad beating and is still stiff as fck. done some hippie jumps, underflips and early grap hammers and nothing to worry about.
@reinohh probably because of the 2 layers of fiberglass, without that it would have cracked a long time ago, btw thats not very stiff if it's flexing that much under human weight, so no, it's not "stiff as fck"
@themccannman sorry dude but the wheels cut outs are fine most dh decks have cutouts that are a 90 degree angle, pluse it strong wood and used 2 layers of fiberglass, he is good to goo
what are some stuff u use? all i know u use birch but how thick is the birch for each plywood and how many plywood did u use? does it work without the class fiber?

quick question- after you lay the fiberglass and let it cure, how do you cut off the excess and make the edges look really neat and clean? thanks!
