  • Real Country.

    Real music.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • June was very gifted Singer songwriter actress she could do these things well and it's unfortunate she never got the acolaides of what talent she was and she was the one that really saved Johnny Cash from self dustruction due to his addiction of pills. Another Carter sister Anita was a versitile performer in her own right.

  • youtube is really great considering one can watch someone's lifetime in 5 minutes

  • where are the daughters and grands today?

  • Being recently divorced it is hearting to know that Johnny was June's third husband. I still have a chance to get it right. Oh, my Johnny where are you?

  • I with ya there imredhead...my first one ended pretty badly; I figure if there's ever a #2, she'll hafta be a keeper.

  • Let me repeat, for those who can't seem to notice that the question has been duly answered:

    Carl Smith

    Carl Smith

    Carl Smith

    Carl Smith

    ...and, one more time...

    Carl Smith

    Any questions?

  • Who is Carl Smith?

  • Carl Smith was June's first husband with whom she had daughter Carlene Carter (the blonde). Rip Nix was June's second husband with whom she had Rosey Carter (Carlene's sister). June's third husband was Johnny Cash with whom she had their only son, John Carter Cash. Johnny brought in four daughters from his previous marriage to Vivian.

Being recently divorced it is hearting to know that Johnny was June's third husband. I still have a chance to get it right. Oh, my Johnny where are you?

  • Casey - Are you speaking w/o notes? Yur memory got my haid aspinnin.

    Vivian Vance? lol

  • @Longfoot. I just remember these insignificant details. =] No, Johnny's first wife was Vivian Liberto.

  • 3 generations of Carters on the same tune! Wow!

  • June really does belong in The Country Music Hall Of Fame. She probably will get there, but much too late. It's funny when she talks about all her family members that are already in it, (Her Mother, Her Aunt, And John.) She's always so happy for them. June was so wonderful. I do get sad when I see her, but only in the years 1999-2003, because she's so old and fragile. She was the best of the Carter sisters. Were you the one taping this? Also thanks for posting. What year was this?

  • the tape is from "the carter fold", a house i think the Carter family owns, were bands play once or twice a week.

  • Best of the sisters? Aw shit let me at you. Anita was queen and June a significant lady in waiting. Now ya get punch punch. OK grab my hand and get up off that floor. We aint gonna never agree on jc and ac but I think we both would give the carter family a 21 cannon salute. You buy the first 20 cannons with balls casey and I I'll buy the last with ball.

  • @longfoot I think you just said the other guy has more balls...

  • @ADACaseyNovak876 - Anita was a far better singer...

  • God I love June so much. I get sad when I see her.

  • great great video - love it

June Carter Cash really belongs to the Country Music Hall of Fame. she was one of the best comedians, musicians and singers. With Johnny she was awesome.

    Thanks for this great video.

I'm sure it was in May 2003 - her last visit to Maces Springs and the Carter Fold.

    God bless her and Johnny.

  • This has to be the time that June recorded her last album since it was recorded just down the road at her old home.

  • would like to know the date on this,,,,seems to me it can't be too long before her passing....late 2002? I think she was sicker than she let on, she was so busy being strong for John. God Bless her and John. Thanks for posting.....this woman belongs in the Country Music Hall of Fame!

  • Thanks for posting. Carol is a very nice person. It's sad seeing June because she was so sweet.
