  • well ... you should trust me to

    because i'm a nurse.

  • whats the music please?

  • Its stupid back in Easter that Syfy showed promos for this new season but its no longer in its regular schedule

  • At first, I was not going to watch the new series fearing that Matt Smith would not follow in the footsteps of David Tennant, however, I decided to watch the first episode out of curiousity to see what he would be like. Now I'm glued to it. They could not have picked a better replacement! And I'm actually starting to prefer Matt Smith to David Tennant :O :) !!!

  • i like the DW tardis shape logo thingy :D

  • loving the new DW design on the tardis :) (Y)

  • i am cautiously optimistic.

  • i think the last doctor had the better outfit :L

  • Yay for black dalek.

Yes, I am racist. Not a huge fan of the gold ones. I can't help it, I'm prejudiced.

  • The other Dr was hotter. This guy has a hot body, though his head sort of ruins it. He's not as bad though as my friend says.

  • should i see it?

  • The TARDIS has a coat hanger :P It can be seen in 0:28.

  • The Weeping angels and River share the middle episode, then River reappears in the finale. The sonic screwdriver FALLS apart? Wow. And I thought the X-Ray messed it up, but we already know it is gonna work and the Tenth Doctor will use it again. A lot is already written on Tardis.Wikia, in the series 5 article.

  • 0:16 wow army jacket dalek

looks like theres dalek pieces on the left side aswell

ive heard the daleks are against the nazis in the world war

i thought the doctor had crossed paths with another doctor (like he went in the same time as another doctor)

  • freezeframe 0:07 its the screwdriver exploding

  • woop the weaping angels r back

  • looks like all the new stories will be based on planet earth AGAIN.... fail. bring us some different planets plz!

  • i really hate his hair don't know why anyway any1 know what that noise after 0:49 was and why was it there ? (just curious )

  • ooooooooomg I can't wait

  • I had to come here because when they showed the 'End of Time' in BBC-America, THEY COMPLETELY SKIPPED THIS PROMO! Mondo KEWL!

'Vampires in Venice', I can see that now, LOL!

Ok, a question to those who followed the series longer than I have: The Dalek shown close-up (Not the one The Doctor is wacking with a hammer), wholud that happen to be an Imperial Dalek?

  • @TainoV2 It seems its possible that it is an imperial dalke or maybe its the emperor dalek from the classic series which was later to be revealed as davros but in a new chair system?, and daleks have accessed earth history and are somehow involved in world war 1 or 2, and the dalek the doctor is hitting with a hammer is a renegade dalek?

  • @TainoV2 they skipped it in the uk aswell

it was showed as a promo after the show ended

  • I'm looking forward to Matt Smith as the Doctor even though I loved David Tennant too. I have nothing against Smith, but I do have to say he isn't as attractive as DT. Just something about his face is more goofy looking to me, personally. But that doesn't mean he won't make an excellent Doctor! And his looks will grow on me I'm sure.

  • @EverlasingEgypt

    CHIN!!!!

look at the size of it

  • I'm a big fan of Tennant as the Doctor, he will definitely be my favourite, but the tradition with Doctor Who is to change the actor, and I don't think they did a bad job with Matt. I think he's gonna be a good doctor. this happens before EVERY doctor change, people are always hating on the new guy. get used to it.

  • @newbroken totally agree with you when jon pertwee changed into tom baker people were up in arms but then we had the absolute best doctor ever. and when baker left after 7 years people were upset but the audience figures doubled when peter davison became the doctor

  • Smith's a good actor, Moffat's a good writer. What's everyone's problem? Apart from being silly Tennant fanboys/girls.

  • jeronimo is lame.

im happy he's finally using a gun. i hate that there will be romances. that makes him the creepiest pedo in the universe.

  • Wow hang on, are 12 year olds children now?

    I'm confused.

  • the weeping angels, on 'the end of time' those to people from galafrey, they mentioned 2 weeping angels then the 2 people covered their faces with their hands, i think its a link we have to watch out for ;)

  • They were made weeping angels for voting agasint them

  • 0:22 who is that woman with a gun O-o

  • @TheDoctorTL River Song.

  • no i meant the blond one with the little gun in hand

  • If you mean the blonde woman with sunglasses and red finger nails then that is River Song...

  • woah she's really different from when she was in the library episode lol

  • @TheDoctorTL she looks like Cassandra, from The End of the World and New Earth

  • i tought it too. u red my mind ? lol

  • I saw that TheDoctorTL's account is closed now.

  • At first i thought that the new doctor was okay then i saw this video and on the 0:42 second all of my opinion changed on him the doctor would never use a gun on anyone.

  • We don't see him using a gun on somebody.

  • Why do you assume he's using it on somebody?

    *SPOILER*

In "The End of Time" the 10th Doctor saved the day by using a gun on an object

  • I suppose I really should have posted the second half of that first, for it to make more sense.. oops.. eitherway, "Geronimo!" is certainly no odder than "Allons-y!" it became a pretty common thing to yell before jumping from a height.. and probably doing anything that would likely be considered stupid otherwise and net you a great deal of pain if you messed it up :-)

  • depicting a real-life escape Geronimo successfully attempted in which he jumped off Medicine Bluff at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, into the Medicine Creek with his Cadillac horse. Private Aubrey Eberhardt announced he would shout the name when he jumped from the airplane to prove he was not scared. The trend has since caught on elsewhere, becoming widely associated with any sort of high jump in popular culture. This unit was the first parachute battalion of the United States Army.

  • The 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment's motto and slogan was named after him. In 1940, the night before their first mass jump, U.S. paratroopers at Fort Benning watched the 1939 film Geronimo, in which the actor playing Geronimo yells his name as he leaps from a high cliff into a river,

  • weping angels are terrifying

  • "GERONIMO!!!" Why is a British Sci-Fi hero shouting the name of an American Indian?

  • British, jaredfomo? I thought he was from Gallifrey!

  • @jaredofmo Because it's the 11th Doctor's ambition to find the heroic Native American Geronimo, but he's unsure where and when to land the Tardis so he can meet him. Throughout Series 5, the Doctor lands in random times and places with Amy Pond, a policewoman and Native American enthusiast. On each adventure, the Doctor shouts "Geronimo!" everywhere he goes, hoping that his role model will respond.

It's really just an expression that started in the 40s, but I had a lot of fun writing that :)

  • Okay, David was one of thee best doctors. Matt Smith... erm what is it with "jaranimoooo"? Looks and sounds stupid.

  • Oh look, vampires, that's original.

  • I readying myself for another month of nightmares with the Weeping Angels.

  • looks great, yippee can't wait! :)

  • how can they have river song??!! that doesnt make sense they should have brought her back wen david was still the doctor

apart from that awesome trailer : )

    matt smith will be awesome

    x

  • 0:15 holy shite, thats freaky as hell and i regret haveing my doubts about this series, the new doctor outfit actually looks cool, the aliens look fucking awsome.

  • Wow this looks GREAT!

  • Having heard it used twice now, "geronimo" has officially been overused and will be likely be quite irritating as a catchphrase. Still excited for the new series though, that looked awesome!

  • This seems alot darker and crazier

the doctor seems to be unhinged this may be because of the events at the end of "end of time"

  • nice to see the weeping angels back really loved the episode "Blink" @asidebottom 0:20 I am really hoping that isn't the new tardis, its really bad lookin. not sure about matt smith and the whole "geromino" thing he has goin on but shall leave opinion until first episode. will miss david tennant v much :'(

  • @lecurry91 That does look like the TARDIS, but I believe that it's beneath the console room.

Can't wait for tomorrow night. "The End of Time, Part Two" premieres in the U.S. The wait is killing me, even though I don't want to watch it online, because that would kill it for me.

    God bless!

  • @2ndCorpsAnv On the contrary, I downloaded it so it wouldn't be ruined for me on BBC America. They always cut parts, the commercials interrupt the emotional feel (especially in this episode), and there are ads and watermarks all over the bottom of the screen. Once you see the way it's originally broadcast, you never go back.

  • @mowingthefrontlawn Well, I'd do the same. But it's kind of been a family thing to watch these final episodes together. So, there's a reason not to watch it beforehand. Still can't wait to see it!

  • @2ndCorpsAnv I didn't even think of that! I'm the only one in my family to watch the show so that didn't even cross my mind. The show is pretty much made for families. If you've got someone to watch it with, that's definately the way to go!

  • @2ndCorpsAnv Also, it really just depends which station you watch it on. Some will edit it up, others will leave it like it is. I just find myself having to leave the room whenever BBCA goes to a commercial because they play ads for the next episode before the current one is even over. The surprise of the Time Lords was ruined for many who saw the End of Time Part 2 ad before Part 1 was over.

  • @mowingthefrontlawn Yeah, that ticked me off a little bit, seeing the preview for Part Two in the last commercial break BEFORE the end of Part One. The Sci-fi Channel did the same thing with Journey's End back in 2008, showing that the Doctor was still David Tennant, even with the regeneration cliffhanger in The Stolen Earth. Ah, well.

  • @2ndCorpsAnv Ah, I remember that. That was a wonderful 5 seconds of suspense. :P I guess they've still kept other surprises quiet.

  • i totally agree!

  • I think matt smith wont b as good david tennant , my family were crying their hearts out !!!!!

  • this looks amazing

  • Just one problem I have with this preview: The Daleks. Now, the Daleks are a great villain, but the new show has overused them. Time to give them a rest for about a year or two. I mean, in Tom Baker's seven years as the Doctor, he only ran into them twice. Otherwise, looks like it'll be great!

  • @2ndCorpsAnv Steven Moffat had one rule about the fifth series: Absolutely no Daleks, because RTD had overused them. But the BBC was afraid some people wouldn't watch after Tennant left. They asked Moffat bring them back just once at the beginning of Series 5 to maintain a strong Doctor Who feel and because Daleks always bring good ratings. He agreed and turned a cancelled comic book into an episode where the Daleks are disguised as British weapons during WWI. That's why they're grey.

  • Yeah, I can see why they'd be a little nervous about that. But still, why not the Cybermen? They haven't been AS overused as the Daleks. Oh well. Hopefully, the Dalek story will be as good as Stolen Earth/Journey's End, or at least better than Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks.

    God bless!

  • @2ndCorpsAnv I'm guessing because Daleks bring higher ratings and the Cybermen are more recent (by 1 episode, but whatever). I kind of liked Daleks in Manhattan for its unique premise. But then there were the pig people. :( It had the potential to be a good episode, but fell apart here and there.

  • @mowingthefrontlawn

it had better not be episode 1 or 2

it should be episode 3 or 5

  • @puplup2009 Moffat confirmed the Daleks won't be in Episode 1. I'd rule out Episode 2, as well. Mark Gatiss was rumoured to write the Dalek episode, and it's confirmed that he's written Episode 3. So, Daleks in episode 3? Maybe. Personally, I'm betting on the Episode 4 & 5 two-parter. Moffat said the Daleks will be at the beginning and would probably be in a two-part story. So it's sounding like Episodes 4 and 5 right now.

  • @piplup2009 Nevermind, I stand corrected. It was recently leaked that the Daleks will be in Episode 3, "Deadly Allies." The Episode 4/5 two parter is rumoured to be called "The Crash of the Byzantium/The Tunnels of Prey Mona." That two parter will feature River Song and the Weeping Angels.

  • I compare his situation to Peter Davison's

Young man coming in to replace one of the most popular doctors.

    I'll think he'll be fine.

  • Oh my God. Awesome.

  • I've got a really good feeling about Mr Smith!

  • awesome video!! ;)

  • 0:20 that the new Tardis?

  • @asidebottom Yes, but it's only the the area under the Tardis controls, beneath the floor. See the stairs on the right? They go up to the main area.

  • Ok thanks for clearing that up, i wouldnt have been happy if it was a new tardis :)

  • @asidebottom

    0:20 ooh that looks nice

looks better than the old tardis

  • @mowingthefrontlawn

    oh yeah

sorry bout that (i could have swore moffat would change it to a retro look and why did they destroy the tardis from the inside

thats a reason to change it if you ask me
