He was world class vs Spain, Brazil (probably his beat game), Portugal, and he was also great vs Italy, till the 110'th minute. He did play pretty good vs Korea republic, but not his best. His worst game was vs switzerland, but the truth was none of the french team played good...they all lost their fitness before the game ended

There's something about Zidane that makes him stand out from the rest. It's not only his touches but also the way he passes and moves that's just beautiful to watch.
France's game was off and it was not one of Zidane's best performances, but it was still entertaining to watch. You could see from this game that the whole team revolved around Zizou. He was the central axis that held France's individual talents together and without him, they just fell apart. It's just like beplasse said, pure #10.
France was shit in this game, and Zidane was off his game too, still, when he is off form he is always willing to take the ball, but you can tell he and the French team was not clicking in this game.

It is not about speed it depends on your position in zidane position you are responsible for your team holding the ball so you need to defend and when you have the ball you make sure you do not lose it so touch is important and ability to think under pressure.

Quick central midfielders are great like edgar davids because he could run the entiere field in seconds and be in the attack as well as in the defense in no time. Still many great central midfielders are not fast like roy keane or michael carrick they just know how to "work the midfield"

everytime iwatch him i learn so much hes isn't the perfect player but what is perfect in essence its in the eye of th e beholder in my opinion he is what perfection strives to be he didn't hav a great defensive game but he was blessed with a header and a good shot in both feet i will be better than him though with alot of hard work

You don`t know how much I appreciate... I think this is my best game vid for sure. All because of Zidane and the way the game was produced. All shots were from very far angle. Normally I prefer close up. But for this one it serve the project. I think it's a very relaxing one to watch.

why should i like a league where they use little to no skills, cuz that's what i prefer in football dribbling a.k.a joga bonito which is why i prefer la liga.
But you can like a league where it's more "brutal" aggresive with harder tackle that's fin, i don't like it but that does not mean that non should like it.
PS. i think that premier league is just little more brutal, seeing as when milan played against man utd, gattuso almost killed cristina, and all the man utd fans were saying........

There's something about Zidane that makes him stand out from the rest. It's not only his touches but also the way he passes and moves that's just beautiful to watch.
France's game was off and it was not one of Zidane's best performances, but it was still entertaining to watch. You could see from this game that the whole team revolved around Zizou. He was the central axis that held France's individual talents together and without him, they just fell apart. It's just like beplasse said, pure #10.

I dont agree, OK not all perfect for anybody, As far as Zidane he was still 3 games from retirement, what can can you request from an old man? To me he touched so many balls I had to cut some of his touch. He was in the middle of everything playing like a true number 10. What to say about Korean play who were all over the pitch with nothing to loose! And my montage, is one of my favorite one to watch! I respect your opinion but do not agree!

I remember when I used to watch these Zizou videos before every game I played.
Now I just watch it to see the master at work cos I have knee tendinitis that hasn't gone away for almost 2 years now.
I'm begining to lose my passion for the beautiful game and it pains my heart.

Zidane was probably very inspiering before a game... I personnaly dont play because my passion for football came late (when I was 29) & because of some problem with my lower legs. But he did get me going for dribbling in the park or against a wall "day dreaming" "acting" as if I was in his shoes!
I miss him a lot, specialy today after France missing leadership and coach decision lost to Holland 4 - 1...

I dont get many viewers for this one. So each time a comment is left, I come watching again. Everytime I am speachless. Zidane touch is so accurate (even if some play do abort) and so elegant... Can you beleive I had to cut some touch because of how many there was! All that just a few days before retirement! He was without any doubt, THE best player in the world during World cup 2006!

I think the Korea team will soon be the most surprising country in Football. I saw the U-20team against Brasil in Montreal last summer and they were very exiting to watch. (even if they have lost) Korea can count on great team play and a few very good individuality. Thanks for commenting.

Zidane, without being Maradonesque is all over the pitch feading teammates with class. France are refused a goal and Korea is totaly up for the challenge. Thanks to Sarah Mclaughlin for a song that seems to match all along!

He is probably one of the most patient players I've ever seen. He doesn't rush the ball, he just shields it perfectly till someone gets open.
Thats the way I love to play my game as well. Very effective and it's fun. Just plain fun.

Your comment makes me happy. I try to find rarer images, try to avoid focusing on goals and mostly avoid using images comming from his DVD. His DVD is great, but it's on youtube 1000000 times! I also try to keep it simple... Mostly, thanks to Zidane for becoming the nicest of subject to work with! I never get tired of him ! Yes more is comming, not too many, but still a few more clip to come !
