To my way of thinking the warrior did ninja the item. The question is whether or not Blizzard should be responsible for dealing with them. And the answer for me is no. They are not Mommy and Daddy abritrating every single argument. Sometimes the people you random with are dicks and you just have to deal with it.
I was running some guild dungeons yesterday and we had a warlock who could need on plate. How random is that, why the hell can a Lock need on plate when my Resto Shammy can't need on Leather even if it's an improvement?!
Although we did get him to keep needing on stuff for lols :D
@JeffeyFish Well that's not quite right cause the rest of us couldn't need on other stuff. Oh well, it doesn't really matter, I try to avoid pugging because most of the people you get grouped with think it's ok to pull massive groups and not use any CC meaning I shred though 70k mana in seconds.
there are reasons pve gear and pvp gear are called that, PvP is PLAYER vs PLAYER. pve is PLAYER vs ENVIRONMENT, use them for instances(pve) and for battlegrounds(pvp). its what blizzard designed them for.
That was an awesome explanation of pvp to pve gear for a newer player TB, usually whenever someone asks that they'll get the usual "Are you an idiot" response.
TB he did ninja it for his rouge friend. If he did not use it himself, and straight away gave it to his rouge friend, the hunter deserves to get it. ONLY if the hunter had a higher roll then the rouge. Just seems like that would make more sense. Classisam!
Honestly, by the end of Wrath, prot warriors could need on just about everything, so I'd basically ninja all the loot, unless a person really DID need it.
@wowRealist It's a challenge and there's some fantastic quests for both 80-85 players and 1-60. Plus unlike Wrath, it requires not pressing your face against your keyboard and rolling it around :D
Actually I kind of agree with Grubbinz, It's used to make gear; imagine if every other mat in the game was bop. That'd be quite bothersome. However, I also understand why it's bop because A) it makes getting epics harder this time around when people are still getting blues B) makes crafting proffesions more appealing for self benefits (gear or even selling the gear) C) People won't ninja for the sake of selling it rather than using it. Now I hafta level my 80 warrior to help gear my DK tho, darn

I am a level 64 mage and I want to know what spec I should have for a secondary spec. I am a raider/dungeoner and I will do more PVP when I level a bit more. Which should I use? Frost or Arcane? (Fire is my primary)
@dunkermage i know that you want TB to answer this, but if your fire primarily and your looking for a pvp spec, i really suggest you try both arcane and frost and see what you like better, arcane pulls of nice damage but isnt as efficient as frost regarding mana bit arcane does have alot of useful spells and whilst you pick arcane your not entrirly disabled in terms of snaring but on the other hand frost has nice CC and damage. it really is your call.
TB, I noticed that you had the 1k Needles theme in the background during the Mailbox. To answer your question from yesterday, that is my favorite. Where did you get it??? I would love to have that track.
On the matter of the trinket, the warrior did indeed ninja it, agility is a stat that provides only a small amount of crit to a warrior and is a stat with just a tiny bit more value then...spirit, and ofcourse him giving it to his friend makes it a ninja, but there's nothing you can do about it. pugs :P
@AnubisofScorpio Thats what I argued earlier. It was an Agility trinket which gave minimal benefit towards a Warrior. Technically, he had no right to be rolling on it. And TotalBiscuit's argument that the Warrior COULD have used it was negated by the fact that the warrior gave it to his friend, who he specifically rolled on it for.
But when I argued this I got ~8 replies from fanboys calling me a retard for disagreeing. Regardless, the fact stands, theres not much that can be done.
@Clbull118 You got responded to like that because you entirely missed the point. He rolled on it because he was entitled to roll on it. That's what the system says. He could have used it. He shouldn't have because it's suboptimal, but he could have used it, so the system let him roll. Was it a dick move? Sure. Was it entirely legit? Yes. Can you do anything about it? No.
I made my point very clear and it seems people got too emotional over it and became irrational. This is common sadly.

When you said the about the professions in the hot fix, I was praying that they nerfed them just a little bit, I've been trying to level my leatherworking and by the website guide I'm using I found I need 41 stacks of savage leather :( I have been grinding ever since.
to the mailbox question about the tank rolling for his friend, blizzard could make a new button on the roll UI, Need, Off-Spec (which will be higher than greed and DE) Greed, and DE, and so if the warrior was tank spec, he could not need, only roll for off-spec, that would fix the issue. Sorry for my english

Really? Does that kind of stuff happen a lot? (the tank giving the trinket to the rogue). Not on my server. I'm not promoting it but Khaz Goroth was my server while I was playing and that never happened to me (was during wrath).
Blizzard has always said the Need before Greed system needs work, but the problem is there's not a whole lot of alternatives to it. They wanted, for a while, to prevent people from rolling on anything their specific class (in that run) couldn't use. Problem was, people with alts and those who wanted to make money on the AH had a fit. As it is, they know it has issues, but it's harder to fix it than suffer with the problems.
blizzard could allways remove the being able to trade an item you rolled for, like it was back in the day, that way you cant have 2 friends rolling need just to trade over the item after the roll. Problem solved.
@0rimos It's a cheap shot to do something like that, but because it was not blocked from the warrior to roll on it as some class specific items are, he had a legit shot at it. It's not something I worried about during the last expansion. I just play, get what I wanted if I can and never think twice about someone giving it to someone else. I was able to get what I needed at some point.
For the "mailbox" segment, I had a similar situation happen to me, except my friends rolled on a particular item to prevent it from being ninja'd from a player that wanted it for OS. Was it appropriate for my friends roll on this to prevent the ninja?
I'm retarded, and I don't play WoW for money reasons, but every time I watch an Azeroth daily, it keeps me entertained, your accent and vocals are awesome, everything about the commentary is just AWESOME, plus you play rather well.
How on earth do you manage your time so well.. Not only are you a WoW subscriber (which drains from your life) but also a puzzle gamer, rts player and a shooter gamer. To top it off, you buy random games to play just for our enjoyment AND you make countless videos about them which would take alot more time to create then it does to watch.
Recently you have been making 2 daily videos per day in the week. All mentioned above and actually actively doing things away from the computer. Keep it up!
There is only 24 hours in a day though. I can't fathom how you would spend those hours. I even neglected to mention that you eat, sleep, shower and go toilet.

I completely agree with what TB is saying. In regards to the mailbox question about the Trinket, like what he said, if need before greed is the setting, you cant really argue the the warrior took it for his friend. I agree in the sense that he shouldnt have done it, but he wasnt being a ninja or doing it to intently piss you off. People need to realise this.

When you said the about the professions in the hot fix, I was praying that they nerfed them just a little bit, I've been trying to level my leatherworking and by the website guide I'm using I found I need 41 stacks of savage leather :( I have been grinding ever since.

to the mailbox question about the tank rolling for his friend, blizzard could make a new button on the roll UI, Need, Off-Spec (which will be higher than greed and DE) Greed, and DE, and so if the warrior was tank spec, he could not need, only roll for off-spec, that would fix the issue. Sorry for my english

Blizzard has always said the Need before Greed system needs work, but the problem is there's not a whole lot of alternatives to it. They wanted, for a while, to prevent people from rolling on anything their specific class (in that run) couldn't use. Problem was, people with alts and those who wanted to make money on the AH had a fit. As it is, they know it has issues, but it's harder to fix it than suffer with the problems.

If it has resliliance, it is a PvP item
If it doesn't, it's PvE

blizzard could allways remove the being able to trade an item you rolled for, like it was back in the day, that way you cant have 2 friends rolling need just to trade over the item after the roll. Problem solved.

@0rimos It's a cheap shot to do something like that, but because it was not blocked from the warrior to roll on it as some class specific items are, he had a legit shot at it. It's not something I worried about during the last expansion. I just play, get what I wanted if I can and never think twice about someone giving it to someone else. I was able to get what I needed at some point.

For the "mailbox" segment, I had a similar situation happen to me, except my friends rolled on a particular item to prevent it from being ninja'd from a player that wanted it for OS. Was it appropriate for my friends roll on this to prevent the ninja?

How on earth do you manage your time so well.. Not only are you a WoW subscriber (which drains from your life) but also a puzzle gamer, rts player and a shooter gamer. To top it off, you buy random games to play just for our enjoyment AND you make countless videos about them which would take alot more time to create then it does to watch.
Recently you have been making 2 daily videos per day in the week. All mentioned above and actually actively doing things away from the computer. Keep it up!
