Me too i loved planes ever since i was born And i want to ba a pilot too. i call the passengers bobbly heads because you just see their heads on the seats. :) Go ALL pilot's
@MissLaughOutLoud63 First of all I've never seen someone say a woman can't be a pilot and if someone did its just them not e rest of the world. Second, with that attitude your not going to get anywhere, especially a pilot.
im a girl and I want to be a pilot one day. boys, got a problem with that? no? good. i hate it when boys discriminate against girls because they want to be pilots. i hate it.
@MissLaughOutLoud63 with that attitude you stand zero chance. Pilots need to be relaxed, regardless of sex, race or skill. You will not get through initiation with a crap attitude. To proceed in this industry it is team team team, unless you want to fly for yourself or become a fantastic fsx pilot. So think before you talk.
If the passengers were smart enough and could move toward the nose of the plane, then they might be able to save themselves. I know under that circumstances moving could not be easy, nevertheless they could still use anything around to help them to "climb" to the nose, considering the plane is really small so I believe that would work.
@backfire1853 This crash happened in a matter of seconds. And it's almost impossible to think clearly when you're panicking. Maybe if this had lasted for a few minutes, but not seconds. And since the plane was so overweight, I'm not sure it would have made much of a difference,
@bradfordbulls4lyf what I mean by making planes safer is making it less likely to set on fire or break apart.....in one of the episodes the window popped out of th plane and the pilot got stuck outside the plane because it wasn't built properly
@unoriginality1 i would like planes more safer, but there must be a limit of safeness untill it becomes unsafe, for example a plane is completely reliable on computers and theres a pilot there who doesnt need to do anything but is for 'just in case' cases and then all the computers fail.... the pilot doesnt no what the plane was doing before the failure and is crashing to earth and the pilot didnt know the speed or altitude of the airplane but just as the pilot seems to gain controll the....
@unoriginality1 computers come back on and they may think the pilot is doing a dangerous manouver and straightens it out but its at a too low speed and the nose is pointing up and it stalls then it crashes too earth...... but like i said before i hope planes are safer and btw you are more likely to be killed by your pants than on a airplane and also you are more likely to die on the way to the airport than on the plane
Did he really just say Greenville/Spartanburg airport in Greer, North Carolina?? GSP is in GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA. Since they can't get something so simple correct I guess I'm going to have to question the validity of everything I hear on this show.
@g0d13ss lol whatever bud. They still got the state wrong. And if you were from the greenville area you would know that the airport is definitely not in greer.

@DLPBurke "Though plane crashes are a scary sight, driving remains much more hazardous, statistically speaking. In 2007, 44 people died in air crashes in the United States, while auto crashes killed 44,000, according to the NTSB. "
@TonyMcGriffles Right on both counts! - The pilot should have re-extended the gear to move the weight forward to lower the nose to prevent the wing stall - and - those "mechanics" had No Business working on aircraft. They failed to follow Each and EVERY STEP of the Elevator Cable Adjustment Procedure - ESPECIALLY the Step that States: Check the Elevator for Full Travel in Both Directions - And re-adjust the control cables as needed to achieve Full Up and Full Down Elevator Travel. IDIOTS !!!
The pilot did not think: Action-Reaction. The nose pitched severly up right after the landing gear was retracted. The plane was tail-heavy and on retraction, the nose gear folds rearward - shifting the weight to the rear - causing the tail to go down and the nose to go up. The landing gear should have immediately been extended to move the weight back to the nose, which would have brought the nose back down, preventing the wing from stalling and the craft from plumeting to the ground.
@mikejung75 remember in another crash, the first officer said "we will be rolling in a few minutes", and then the aircraft rolled and crashed near the runway.
@TonyMcGriffles you can survive a fall... very slim but it depends on how you fall, the speed of collision, if anything breaks your fall, if there is anything else around, how hard the surface you are landing on is....
@TonyMcGriffles well she obviously didnt hit the ground at the speed required to cripple her body. Everybody else on that plane died, and she was still in her seat outside the plane, so 2 things:
a. Being out of the plane and in her seat meant she was going to the ground slower than the plane due to air resistance
b. there was no metal or debris around from the plane to go into her body
c. Highly likely a tree or something else broke her fall.
@DLPBurke You have no idea what you are talking about! The pilot was Inside the plumeting aircraft - strapped into her seat - like everyone else on board. No one "fell" out of the plane. A tree broke her fall??? What in the World are you talking about??? An Aviation Crash Analyst You are NOT ! ! ! Your comments clearly indicate that you are a Complete IDIOT ! ! !
@gfemg I didn't say a tree broke her fall I said it COULD HAVE DONE. I was offering reasons. Strapped to her seat or not a TREE WILL SLOW A FALL DOWN AND CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE.
@gfemg Well let me put it another way for you, there had to be a logical reason why the woman survived the fall. Something had to have slowed her down before impact, something had to have made the crash survivable. idiot.
@TonyMcGriffles not sure about the brain, i am guessing that's the same, serious damage with a large jolt. I know the heart usually pulls free from its location and ruptures, so you are pretty much dead then anyway....
There are a few reasons why heights and shocks like that kill.... but those are probably the biggest. Not to mention that if you slam into the ground, metal and debris are sure to hit you and stuff.
Definitely Pilot ERROR here for sure! The Pilot in command failed to check the recent maintenance logs and if she had done so - she would have seen that an adjustment was made to the Elevator Cables. During her Pre-Flight - she failed to check and verify proper and FULL Travel of the elevator - had she done so - she would have easily been able to identify the limited travel of the elevator. Her failure to properly pre-flight the aircraft resulted in her death and the death of all on board.
The baggage was overloaded....i don't believe there is anything she could have done to correct the problem...even though their figures showed it was fine..he could have misfigured or something...who knows a sad thing to happen when you had already achieved captain status at such a young age.
@Snipe4261 All converstaions in the cockpit are captured on the CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder) - So yes - the dialog in the re-creation was based on the actual conversation between the flight crew.
@Braincandy123 yeh i mean everyone has a good crash like they struggle to take control of the plane, or the plane goes upside down - hell in 1 a pilot was hanging outside the window
a woman? oh she takesoff and then 10 seconds later every1 is dead
as much as it may scare me if these situations should happen to me while boarding a plane, but i still love watching it...you learn so much about why it happened and what planes are all about. thanks for uploading!
You know, the one thing I don't understand is why they didn't try redeploying the gear...might have shifted the CG forward far and added enough air resistance to help pitch the nose forward. Granted, they didn't have a lot of time to think about this, but...
@125RTY i dont now if its true but in this docu u cant see that the groundcrew attach the luggage to the plane...so if u pull up all the stuff begins to rall more to the back of the plane
its the center of gravity displaced in the aircraft by what we pilots call dead weight to much weight in the back of the plane causes less down force on the elevator to keep the plane in the air which causes the plane to become unstable and near impossible to recover from a stall we learned about this in our cessna pilot training course
OK, now I know this story started in San Antonio airport, because its where I live, but why don't I know what channel this show comes out on? I mean, there are enough episodes for it to have been on for awile. Anybody?
@Endurance3952 Because this reason.....The attention span of most human beings nowadays means that they can't focus and finish anyt.....(Sorry attention span warning system kicks in at 19 words) Sad fact of people.
can people to fat to fly tho this question but then the air from the crj such a shame that young pilot had a whole career ahead of her also i heard that these beach crafts are not bery good but that s jus a rumour
Why post this video if its such low quality and there are the same episode already on youtube! Waste of time

oh what a suprise a woman pilot crashes within 10 seconds of being in the air. SHe was probably too busy doing her make up or having a period

@Braincandy123 yeh i mean everyone has a good crash like they struggle to take control of the plane, or the plane goes upside down - hell in 1 a pilot was hanging outside the window
a woman? oh she takesoff and then 10 seconds later every1 is dead

I dont like these small planes. Like the B1900, Saab 340. I fly the CRJ-900 and I love it.
InvaderZim871 1 year ago
as much as it may scare me if these situations should happen to me while boarding a plane, but i still love watching it...you learn so much about why it happened and what planes are all about. thanks for uploading!
rahya2008 1 year ago
You know, the one thing I don't understand is why they didn't try redeploying the gear...might have shifted the CG forward far and added enough air resistance to help pitch the nose forward. Granted, they didn't have a lot of time to think about this, but...

Wow, fail...Greenville-Spartanburg Airport (KGSP) is in Greer, South Carolina, not North Carolina. (I've flown into KGSP enough to know, lol)

damn, all that baggage in the back of a small plane. thats asking for trouble.
125RTY 1 year ago
@125RTY i dont now if its true but in this docu u cant see that the groundcrew attach the luggage to the plane...so if u pull up all the stuff begins to rall more to the back of the plane

@Endurance3952 I don't know Einstein, what do you think?
Harmonizerua 1 year ago
its the center of gravity displaced in the aircraft by what we pilots call dead weight to much weight in the back of the plane causes less down force on the elevator to keep the plane in the air which causes the plane to become unstable and near impossible to recover from a stall we learned about this in our cessna pilot training course
Ladiesman217n 1 year ago
Why don't they have CCTV on planes, in the cockpit etc. With a third blackbox recorder?
