the blackbery bold 9700 was my very first smartphone, it was also the longest i had ever kept a phone for(7 months). I LOVED IT. ive had android and iphones, ANd windows phones. I miss my blackberry. Its so stylish looking and you can always count on it to work, people say blackberry is dying, but those of us who know all the great things about them have a place in our hearts for them. I'm going to buy this.

why I bought this phone over samsung and htc???because the 9900 has a great looking high resolution screen..i have tried samsung galaxy s 2 and nexus and htc sensation..and i thought htc really got a high resolution screen but browsing through the menu,i thought taht my bold 9900 has a better high resolution screen crystal clear screen..the screen resolution is not just the thing about this phone. that is just a fact why I chose this over any other smartphone. :)

Does the touch screen sensitivity affected if you add screen protector? My sister just bought a 9900 and add a screen protector to it. When I did some test on her 9900, I found the touch sensitivity so horrible and frustrating. I asked her to take the screen protector off temporarily just to check if the horrible touch sensitivity was indeed caused by the screen protector, but she didn't let me. Until now, I'm still curious, is it a product defect on her 9900 or because of the screen protector?

I have to be honest, the reason why I went to android is because of the fact that you can customize your home screen and themes where a lot are free, and the apps that are normally free on android where blackberry charges. If Blackberry moved over to being able to have widgets on the home screen and made it less boring, a lot of people for sure would stick with blackberry. A lot of iPhone users and Blackberry users have moved to Android for the customization alone.

This phone gets 8-9 hrs of battery life which for me is great. Who the He** uses their phone for 8-9 hrs straight until the battery runs out. If you have apps and shit open that runs in the background then that's on you. There is no phone on the market that is going to save battery life with apps running in the background. So get over it people.

This may not be clearly better than the new android devices but if you want an amazing keyboard, ultra slick and fast OS and great communications tools this works great. I would now say that the browser is actually usable and enjoyable coming from iPhone. Although the price seems a bit off. Although I don't think that has too much to don with rim considering this phone is selling for around 150$ and cheaper at other shops in Canada.

I must say I'm personally very impressed with this phone. Got it the other day and I was pretty amazed by it. A family member has the Iphone 4 and comparing it to that the browser seems just as fast, the touch screen is very responsive and works very well into the OS.
