Why is he refering to his father as 'vous' ? Wouldn't they be more informal with tu? Or is it normal in Belgium/France to address one's father as vous?
@rossyxan i have a friend in france told me that in small villiages they all use formal address even if its calling their father or mother. but in bigger cities like paris tu is used almost everywhere to everyone
@TechnoLife120 Yes, this is true, also it looks like a family farm or something where they would have lots of respect for their elders, especially on their death bed.
Good one! Wanted to show this one to my wife and found it on YT. I think (in French) he says "Quelque chose, Papa?" Is that right? Meaning "What else (do you want) Dad?"
i liked the one when the man does everyone favours like carrying this old man across a river. but when they see him in the pub afterwards no one wants to buy him a stella. havnt found it on youtube tho
he never got his stella.. poor old man.. he makes me laugh and cry this advert.. I love it I think it goes.. 1st this advert. 2nd (the one on the french ship and he gets the bottle and gets put in the hold) 3rd. Flower Seller.. anybody agree..

Whatever happened to adverts like this? Ads nowadays are, in a word, retarded.

Well considering the man is dying, it makes sense for the son to use the more respectful "vous."
