Reagan had a great platform but what he did and his record is a different story. He cut taxes and increased spending, and created huge deficits that are effecting the economy today. That is more Liberal than Conservative. He also started the war on drugs, another disaster.

How would it be worse without our efforts? First of all Drug use is a HEALTH problem, not a judicial problem.

Second - It's a PROVEN failure. If you knew anything about economics you would know The war on drugs has the exact OPPOSITE effect. There are far more drugs available today, and more users too! There is no point in compounding our already overcrowded prison problem with NONVIOLENT offenders.

Understand the domino effect of drug use - most of which doesn't appear on your radar.

The user, supplier, broken families, health costs, employment productivity, robberies, innocent victims, etc.

Without law enforcements efforts things would be far, far worse. We don't have a REAL war on drugs - we just play on the margins.

Robberies happen because the price of drugs is extremely inflated due to the fact that they are ILLEGAL. I agree with most of your sentiments, but I do believe RP made a fundamental error during his campaign. He allowed too many moonbats who were only attracted by his foreign policy message to define his campaign. Hopefully, we will be able on the foundation Paul laid for us in the future.
