Does not work! Followed directions exactly, it seems there may be some instructions missing in this video, not to mention I'm on Vista, not XP so there are some differences on my laptop as far as options go. Also, why would you need an easy tether AND PDAnet installed and running together when you cannot be on them simultaneously?

@SuperJessicayo You can use the pre as a HOTSPOT as long as its not an adhoc conection to conect to your droid pro, but if you can make a hotspot with the pre theres no need for the droid. Just connect your computer to the hotspot snd share the connection with the XBOX.

A holes. Its best to tether with a wireless connection 1 because data transfer on a mobile network is crap = lag, and 2 it saves you from paying like 100 bucks for an xbox wireless adaptor. Unless you're loaded and just go out and buy crap like idiots when there's a way around it.

can someone please help me? i am trying to hook up my xbox through the tethering with pdanet (droid x). connection is shared and the ethernet cable runs from the xbox to the back of the computer. when i boot it up and connect everything so that the internet is running on the computer, the xbox cant connect. when i run the troubleshooter on live, it says it cant even find the network, much less the internet. please help!

Basically all u need is one computer with an available ethernet slot to share the phones internet. Install PDAnet on your PC and phone. run it on both and connect. varify u have internet and go to your Network Connection and enable sharing for internet. plug in your cable on BAM! xbox live or ps3.... or another pc.... or device. etc...

first just hook your 360 and laptop together with ethernet

then go to network>Pdanet>Properties>Adva­nced then click on "allow other network users"

i do the same thing on my xbox 360 using the g1 i thought i was the only one who knew but anyways an easier way is to just use wifi tether connect your laptop to it connect the ethernet cable to your laptop out to the xbox 360 bridge the connecttions and go to text network connections its pretty fast too

You can play pretty good, but its better if you have the wireless going at the same time. The lan adapter, I got it from a computer parts store in my cityand its made by encore, but there may be more company's that make it. (Ethernet Adapter)
