  • Old CD's are also great to use for a rib.

  • Fantastic! What type of thread do you use to cut off the bowls from the hump? Regular sewing thread or thicker than than?

  • @EmRosERD I used a cotton string about 1/16" thick. Please watch my video post: ( 21. Throwing a Noodle Bowl & Cut off the Hump with Hsin-Chuen Lin ) to get more idea.

  • That wooden rib is from Dudley Harris, full moon ribs. I have 2 of them and they are WONDERFUL. They make it SO easy to compress bottoms, move clay from center to sides, and shape and compress sides. I have not had any cracking since using them.

  • Where can we buy the rib? Also, I love your videos!!!!

  • @potterylady1 Dudly Harris, Full Moon Ribs

He has different sizes, and I like large and small.

  • @potterylady1 He is on youtube as dudelio or in search type in full moon ribs

  • You used your thump to put a swirl at the bottom of the bowls?

  • Beautiful throwing!!! What is the name if the cloth you're using to smooth the rims???

  • Dang I love porcelain!!!!

  • Thank you for sharing your great talent. You are an insriration to all! Regards, Janice

  • Kick Ass rib! I want one!

  • Thanks, Hsin-Chuen. It is very useful to see the various shapes of pots, and to note how distinctive they can be.

  • you don't need a splash pan bro....you are unbelievably clean while throwing.

  • how do you remove the bowls off the hump without distorting the shape? whenever i take my bowls off they like flop over? you think its the clay i use maybe?

  • The extended video content is great! I found the cut away views showing the profile very helpful. It gives me an 'eye' into what you are feeling as you throw and to actually see what amount of clay you are trimming away. Thanks so much for your time and generosity in sharing what you do, much appreciated! Sharon

  • Great video, where can I get/order the round wooden rib? Thanks again for sharing your talent...

  • You are a master of your craft. Can't get enough! Keep the videos coming, please.

    Thank you.

  • awesome thanks for another great video...
