  • Ahhhhhhh! This souunds like the classical Piece called MY DICK !!! ah Man what a classic =D #TopCommentFlow

  • oh the harmony's :)

  • @

Stefgabby , you can apply now. Why wait?

  • what piece is this?

  • people dedicate their whole lives to this shitty old music

  • Oh me too! It's my dream! It's not imposible to get there... We can do it

  • Someday I'll be their !! Ever scince i was 8 i wanted to be there!!! And I will get there

  • Someday I'll be their !! Ever scince i was 8 !!!

  • 2 questions, i realized that the people were playing with their left hand as if they were fingering a violin, is it sopposed to add sustain or something?

and question 2, im a senior in high school, when and where do i schedule an audition and how much is it to audition?

  • Despite having the highest respect for every Juilliard student out there, if you put the sheet music in front of any decent guitarist they can play this (rather simple) piece. I can't see musicians at this caliber having to use sheet music for such straightforward pieces. More creativity should be encouraged for these students.

  • how do i get into juilliard wihout paying anything and if i live in Los Angeles and ive onnly been playing for 3 years?

  • I play rock guitar, and I consider myself pretty decent, but do you believe that it is to late to learn classical guitar? Reading music is unaturally difficult for me. I play music they way I want it to sound, not how it is written.

  • Thats how I think It should be played :) I play cello and people mostly care about you, not what is written on the page. My teachers all tell me to follow the page. But if you follow your emotion in anyway, it will always sound better. Good luck!

  • beautiful i would like to be there one day, you people are great musicians. Thankyou 4 this piece.

  • sorry no lessons

  • Iciaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

  • great sound

  • lol Juilliard is one of the best performing arts school in the world, it is very hard. From your videos, I think what is presented in this video is beyond your level of playing and is WAY more complicated. If you think the way they're holding the guitar is funny, I'm sure they'd find your way hilarious. Go hear a Juilliard guitarist perform and I assure you it will be a humbling experience. Sorry for bashing you, but c'mon someone had to and I'm bored.

  • you guys both need to take in mind that this is the pre-college division.

  • I agree that that Juliard is a great prestigious school. A musician however, is not determined by technicality or skill, they are measured by creativity. If a musician operates solely with the confines of musical theory and science. They are limiting themselves to pre-determined modes and scales. By just putting these materials together, they are no longer artists... they are musical construction workers.

  • You are Right, but few professional musicians know the true meaning of music and art study. Many of us dont like to feel limited by dogmatic narrow teaching views of some professors. thats why i think is very important for every person, regardless or their Profession, to keep searching knowledge n experience, Learning is an never ending journey.

  • i agree with you 100% Great Incite.

  • correct! I am applyin to Juilliards.

  • @Dmanrule575

You spelled Juilliard incorrectly first thing. Musicians aren't only determined by creativity. They are also determined by technicality. Auditions are based on creativity, technicality, # of applicants auditioning, # of openings available, and how good the applicants are. I'm auditioning on viola for my 3rd time.

  • @Dmanrule575 Being creative is good, not being able to show it due to the lack of technical skill is bad.

  • @Dmanrule575 I agree that one with out musical training can definitely be a better musician than one that knows all the theory. However, just because someone does utilize scales and modes to construct their music, doesn't mean they lack creativity.

  • oh really?...I watched your videos and they all sucked. you're thinking of Juilliard when you only know how to play few chords and don't even know how to spell 'Juilliard'?

by the way, I personally think that your singing and guitar playing is funny.

  • dude you fail

  • im the only one that agrees with you. the only thing i defer is that the way they hold the guitar is almost the right form. Its classical guitar posture. But u r right a bit too easy to b a juilliard group

  • @StevenWangMusic I'd like to see you play these pieces perfectly in time, under pressure, and even play them correctly. Good luck if you don't know how to read. There's no way you can easily determine how to play this stuff by ear... Not a chance man. There's many note length variations that would prove very very very difficult to play 'by ear' and especially if you think its' funny' how they sit... you my friend are a dipshit.

  • brilliant!

  • thats a huge guitar enesmble

  • too many accidentals for my liking and theyre not the most expressive bunch are they? and this is what happens when you only have relative pitch and youre tuning by ear. with that many guitars the slightest off intonation just ruins it

  • I got admitted to Julliard but then I decided I should go to a better school and not just an average program and accepted the admission at Eastern Tennessee State University since a friend told me it was better

  • you...really did that? you chose ETS for performing arts over juilliard??!?!?

  • yeah why? Julliard isn't very good is it, I mean it can't better than a school that has the word "State" in its name, right?

  • i have no idea if you're being sarcastic.

but anyway juilliard is the most prestigious tertiary schooling in the performing arts in America, i'm here in Sydney and even i know that. though i do applaud your support for the public education system, but seriously if you changed to ETS because you didn't want to do performing arts then fine but to go there insteadof Juilliard to performing arts... i'm sorry but you just threw away an oppurtunity of a lifetime

  • no uh, shut up, you're kidding, right

  • no i am not. how can you be that uninformed about a school that was in your preference list

  • I don't know, I had it as a backup plan, you know when you apply you try to have a couple of schools where you know you'll get in, mine where Julliard and the university of pittsburgh, but i didnt know. I'm suing Julliard for not informing me adequately about their program... or do you think they will accept me back even though I already spent this semester at ETSU? damn

  • depends on how good you are. you a musician, dancer, or actor?

  • yeah man I'm very very good, do you know satriani or vai? well that's me but with the ukulele

  • hahaha, i am so sorry, you are probably the bst, but there is no way i can take the ukulele seriously i'm sorry, i never thought Juilliard would too, no offence

  • dude, they admitted me and I was the one who rejected them... of course then I didn't know that was a big mistake... anyway, how dare you express yourself that way about the Ukulele mate. The Ukulele helped build America and consequently Australia!

  • lol, suing them

    what a cunt you are

  • yeah and you're a stupid gullible fuck, it obviously is a joke, what a fucking idiot really hahahaha

  • for julliard students they cant tune worth shit -_-

I truly like the peice myself.. It makes it sound much better with more guitars..

Plus for the large group.. you could tell a flaw in timing or pitch . It makes it more at the edge of your seat..

  • I also like this piece too my friend, but when I saw this video i realise that you can´t apreciate the melody with too many guitars, it`s aweful.I had anohter vision of Juliard before i see this desaster. they don´t show the feeling that the tango requires.I´m sorry by my english and i hope do not offend but it`s my opinion as musician and music lover.

  • haha I understand man.

It lacks the requirements of a true scene..

They can do it, so they do..

    It's how colleges work..

You didn't offend me at all, I know.

  • wow amazing

  • whats the deal on the pre college courses?

  • Comment removed

  • For more info about the Pre-College Division, go on the Juilliard website and clik on Pre-College Division. Explore everything. The Pre-College DIvision is meant to develop young musicians.

  • I am actually planing on going there... I'm going to play piano, if i get in... you need to audition to even be considered for admission

  • after i graduate high school imma try and do the same thing! cool!

  • Que desmadre lo de piazzola

  • Hi! I'm 20 an I want to join the juilliard; i'm playing for 7 years for you i'm too old for the precollege division?

  • In short, yes.

Unless you're still in highschool, that is :b

  • if youre good enough, audition for the college

  • I'm applying to Juilliard soon people. I'll post a few videos before I do though.

Oh, and any or all of you fellow guitarists in the video above. Please message me, as I am dying to speak to some attendant of Juilliard.

  • i go to juiilard.. piano though

  • how hard is it to get in the opera or piano??

  • how long is a piece of string

  • eh; i dunno.

  • What are the odds that a kid who starts playing at 14 at an amateur skill level, will make it to Juilliard's Guitar Division by the time he's 18, if he starts practicing his audition piece now that he is almost 16? I need the know :(.

  • u mean 4 college?

  • you can definetly get in if you practice two hours a day and play a really difficult peice very well for your audition. Don't be scared you'll probably get in !!!:)

  • Yeah for the college. I guessed I have to practice . . . "vigorously" now.

I hear the Guitar Program is actually a lot easier to get in than something like the Piano course.

  • thats true, so play your heart out and get in!!!!you definatley can

  • Thanks that means a lot from someone who's pretty good.

How long have you been playing anyways?

  • yea dude just practice your ass off. idk if uve heard of him but matt heafy of trivium started at 12 and joined trivium at 17 and now look at how good he is.

  • six years, im in this video, im twelve....im in juilliard u kan see my video on related vids... Asher guitar recital

  • odds are not important. your determination and hard work is. I work my arse off and I take every opportunity I get when it comes to music. as long as you dream big, work hard, and believe in yourself. odds are always in your favor. but in reality, you have alot of competition. so good luck! ^__^

  • I practiced my audition pieces for about two weeks ^^

You need more than one XD

  • yo i gotta question, can u join julliard pre college for electric guitar?

  • No. Juilliard is for CLASSICAL pieces.

  • wow that sucks, there goes my dreams

  • sounds like you had the wrong dream, go to berklee

  • @myincepie lammmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Jazz guitar, yes -- Electric (rock...) NO.

  • Check out Berklee School of Music in Boston. They do it all. Brad Whitford from Aerosmith went there.

  • @korean4arch

As a matter of fact, you can. There has only been one electric guitarist that has been through Julliard. His name is Lage Lund. myincepie obviously didn't know. lol He is amazing. He also went to Berklee.

  • @korean4arch

As a matter of fact, you can attend Juilliard with an electric guitar. Of course, there has only been on man to do so, and his name is Lage Lund. lol Check him out. And don't listen to myincepie. ha Juilliard is for INTELLIGENT people. :P

  • @BrianJLeong not likely, but dont ever doubt yourself, practice 16 hours a day.u wont get there with normal practicing,u gotta be obsessive.

  • @SuperMattarr Not true at all. As long as you practice effectively and get a lot done when you DO practice, you don't need to practice NEARLY as much. I practice (on average) 2 hours a day.

  • @myincepie disgree totally with our statement.,ive been playing guitar for 3 years and when i started most guitar players in my school were really good and i wasnt even close to them,3 years later im a senior and im the best in my school now.i got better then them because i worked hard, and theres a difference between practiceing and playing.

  • wiiiiiiiiiiiiii this was fun
